He seemed to have the intention of making the aurora corruption a lot slower but with these frequent scenes spaced out to make the game progressively more lewd but as players have nothing else to do in the story where the world is also lacking any real repeatable corruption outside of intentional trap event losses is what's causing aurora to feel like it's constantly building up to something but is actually nothing as people chain the entirety of her events in a row. Just taking status at face value, we're not even past the first corruption stage of the game. To simply ask for a complete bad end now is asking a lot. There may be a point at around 80% completion where it's just a lengthy process where nothing really gets done except trying to stitch the game from the beginning again to form a coherent corruption narrative so they can actually focus on the ending. Patrons have never 'survived' the end-of-life phases of a game project because as far as they're concerned the game is already 'done' and trying to fix anything now is a pointless endeavor. The other issue is they've been fantasizing about how the events should have gone for years up to that point and any solution will always be the wrong one. They sooner prefer a rushed ending so they can move on to complaining about the next project.

I think you're misinterpreting what I mean: it doesn't have to be some super elaborate bad ending (at least not imo), but more so that it's a prime example of this game's biggest problem, which is that the game is and has been massively outpacing its actual content. Dungeon 2
only just recently got all of its artwork for both "combat" scenes and bad endings, and we're already pushing Dungeon 6? If we assume your view on patrons becoming disenchanted the moment the project is "done" is true, shouldn't that be
more incentive for TDL to actually get some of the scenes and actual content done rather than keep bulldozing forward to "complete the game" when more than 50% of the scenes in the game have no artwork, no pixel art, or
neither? If the game gets "officially finished" and that ratio of scenes to art (what, I think uncontroversially, most people here see as the "real content") remains unchanged, then we better damn well hope TDL has a good stash to keep paying Sieroo (the main artist for the game, not sure why it seems to be a semi-secret) to finish up the art with the pace they're going.
All of this is basically just to say that if Aurora, the current
most popular character, is barely even out of the gate in terms of her story arc/smut content, it does NOT bode well for the game in the long run. The dev has even expressed once or twice that they're not entirely on board with Aurora being what everyone wants, and if ever there were a red flag in terms of these small-team projects it's one or more members of the team starting to have doubts about the direction everyone else wants the project to go in. Let me be clear that I
LOVE a good chunk of the content in this game and the art is wonderful, but we've already backed off to bi-monthly updates, and there have been more and more scenes added with less and less art in those spans of time; I just don't want to see this gem of a game becoming another pile of empty promises.
