Stopped playing after the first dungeon, no idea what to do and where to go and not enough content to really be arsed to find out, kinda stupid you need to talk to a random old guy in the park with no indication to access the first dungeon, is the second that way? or is it an automatic event? don't know, and honestly cant say I really care

Theirs a whole bear in the kitchen who tells you what you need to do to advance the story and have you every played old RPGs they expect you to talk to everyone in those I remember my first time trying to play the re-released Final Fantasy 1 on steam and I got lost a lot this is way easier to figure out.

Not sure if it's just me but the update loop for this game is pretty annoying. Might just be me but no matter how far I am, after every update I get set back before the subway dungeon and it's extremely annoying to play through again every update.

sounds like your save is bugged. Try downloading someone else's save and continue using that one from now on

I hope that at some point the dev implements a way to revisit dungeons and add extra repeatable/side content to develop the fetishes better.

Right now it feels like, "oh man I wanna advance the story to see more, but I'm gonna miss this dungeon's fetish focus..." then I feel like I don't want to advance because I wanna see the girl in certain form.

Well, from what I've seen of this latest update, it seems to focus more on brainwashing than body modifications, and I don't really like that, but we'll see how this dungeon develops each time we go up... For now, that's what we see on the first floor of Dungeon 6, but we'll see what the others are like. I hope there are body modifications, since Dungeon 5 is my favorite so far.

He seemed to have the intention of making the aurora corruption a lot slower but with these frequent scenes spaced out to make the game progressively more lewd but as players have nothing else to do in the story where the world is also lacking any real repeatable corruption outside of intentional trap event losses is what's causing aurora to feel like it's constantly building up to something but is actually nothing as people chain the entirety of her events in a row. Just taking status at face value, we're not even past the first corruption stage of the game. To simply ask for a complete bad end now is asking a lot. There may be a point at around 80% completion where it's just a lengthy process where nothing really gets done except trying to stitch the game from the beginning again to form a coherent corruption narrative so they can actually focus on the ending. Patrons have never 'survived' the end-of-life phases of a game project because as far as they're concerned the game is already 'done' and trying to fix anything now is a pointless endeavor. The other issue is they've been fantasizing about how the events should have gone for years up to that point and any solution will always be the wrong one. They sooner prefer a rushed ending so they can move on to complaining about the next project.
I think you're misinterpreting what I mean: it doesn't have to be some super elaborate bad ending (at least not imo), but more so that it's a prime example of this game's biggest problem, which is that the game is and has been massively outpacing its actual content. Dungeon 2 only just recently got all of its artwork for both "combat" scenes and bad endings, and we're already pushing Dungeon 6? If we assume your view on patrons becoming disenchanted the moment the project is "done" is true, shouldn't that be more incentive for TDL to actually get some of the scenes and actual content done rather than keep bulldozing forward to "complete the game" when more than 50% of the scenes in the game have no artwork, no pixel art, or neither? If the game gets "officially finished" and that ratio of scenes to art (what, I think uncontroversially, most people here see as the "real content") remains unchanged, then we better damn well hope TDL has a good stash to keep paying Sieroo (the main artist for the game, not sure why it seems to be a semi-secret) to finish up the art with the pace they're going.

All of this is basically just to say that if Aurora, the current most popular character, is barely even out of the gate in terms of her story arc/smut content, it does NOT bode well for the game in the long run. The dev has even expressed once or twice that they're not entirely on board with Aurora being what everyone wants, and if ever there were a red flag in terms of these small-team projects it's one or more members of the team starting to have doubts about the direction everyone else wants the project to go in. Let me be clear that I LOVE a good chunk of the content in this game and the art is wonderful, but we've already backed off to bi-monthly updates, and there have been more and more scenes added with less and less art in those spans of time; I just don't want to see this gem of a game becoming another pile of empty promises.

Personally I feel that the actual scenes of the game, with the text and sprites and portraits and stuff are the "real content". Part of the reason why I think Aurora is the most popular character is because of all of her scenes where she slowly and methodically brainwashes Emma, only happening in enticing increments with just their portraits interacting as she worms her way deeper in Emma's mind and changes her to her liking. Scenes like these are really good setup for great mind control scenes and yet feel underrated when compared to the ones with CGs and npixel animation, which seem to be really time consuming for the people actually working on them. They are a nice addition and give the game character, but at the end of the day I came to the game to view the MC content, and if those scenes are written and I can enjoy them, than I won't complain.

Also as a backer who gets to see some of the early stuff that the dev shows on discord, he's actually on Dungeon 4 sprite and portrait implementation, with the most recent pixel art to my recollection being the bad ending with Nora. Some scenes are just missing because either the pixel art or CGs aren't done yet, but they've been commissioned.

That said I do agree that TDL gives too much priority to the character polls on patreon. Love Aurora's scenes and all, but it feels like she's smothered all the other MC storylines. Kailee barely gets any love for some reason, when she's the character who's been given the most setup and than is left to just exist with no future scenes because no one's voting for her. So Sad.

Think that TDL needs to get some balance between patreon-voted content and the character content that the game needs or that he's setup and left on the back burner for too long. I also think that he's not the best when it comes to emphasizing new content and what people would like about it. I remember that I didn't even know Kailee had had scenes with Amelia until it was revealed in a later post after that specific update for example.

I love the most recent dungeon, and do know that he's planning on taking a reprive to focus on side-content before jumping into the final dungeon by adding more side-quests and character content so let's see where he goes with it.
