Updates are a bit weird in the sense that, depending on the person doing it, they can seem wrongly structured. The initial response when seeing something, be it a game in development or some other sort of project, at 0.9 the immediate thought typically is "cool, that means it's near completion" which can be wrong as the 0.9 is just the version number. The game had 9 versions released at that time, with who knows how many revisions, marking it as version 0.9, the nine being the minor version titling and the 0 being the major version titling. Until the major version numeral is 1 the game is not complete and due to how minor version titling goes the game could loop back to 0.101 depending on how long the game's development take, but I digress.
Suffice to say, the game is currently on version 22 revision 1, hence the v0.22.1 and when the game was at 0.9 it was at version 9 revision whatever and should of been correctly titled v0.9.1 for more coherency possibly. Regardless, version number naming conventions are quite silly.
