The stats do matter, and they do have an affect on Claire! The CG scenes vary due to the stats, and it affects how Claire handles certain situations, you can only put so much into the game since artwork, assets, spirits, ect, aren't free! If the stat requirements aren't where they need to be then certain hidden quests will not show up. The stats and how you build them up is up to the player!Cool game though it's less of a game and more of a VN with walking. I do appreciate the devs ditching the ugly-ass stock RPGMaker assets and making their own NPC sprites (though their diversity at the moment is poor).
My biggest problem overall is how poorly balanced stat gains are. There's a lot of them in the prologue - and then nothing. How come jacking off a horse in Hookton nets Claire +2 Depravity, but FUCKING one later doesn't? Probably because it's repeatable, to prevent grinding it, but it would be relatively easy to add a stat gain as a one-time thing...
Content for a Defiance-based dominant Claire seems almost non-existent at the moment. Raising Defiance locks you OUT of scenes, which is predictable, but pointless for a porn game.
It brags about the very classic 'YOUR CHOICES MATTER!' RPG shtick, but doesn't really deliver as far as scene variety comes. All it comes down to is checks on Claire's Depravity or Defiance. Some of the scenes in-game currently miss such variations.
The game also desperately needs some kind of characterization system for Claire - let me dress her up. It's nice that her portrait changes depending on the highest stats, but I'd really like to wear more outfits other than the default peasant girl one.
There's also a couple of REALLY embarrassing bugs I found through MV... like placing a player transfer event on a non-passable tile. No player is going to be able to find this bug, because they can't walk into the tile...
You only have 4 stats which are easy to know, I respect others opinions but these games aren't created by major gaming studios! And you really should go on the Patreon page to make suggestions, most if not all of your comments have been discussed by other players with the Dev.
RPGMaker, is basically a modern version of the old DOS games which are nothing more the Visual Novels, rather then looking at cheesy text graphics and typing in 'key' commands you get (depending on the dev) graphics, CG art, a slightly more immersive game! ANd I haven't ran into many if any RPG games that come close to what your looking for. The only other RPG that comes to mind thats world is built like nothing like the typical RPG games you come across is Threads Of Destiny.
And keep in mind this is an overhauled game, the previous game looked like most RPG games you come across on F95, its missing Rathepike which was a vital part of the original game. Once things get settled in with the revamp I believe the focus will be improving upon the game!
