And not better for being able to complete most of the game's tasks and get rid of bugs, or for more frequent updates. Not once every 4 months ?

Claire's Quest has got to be the best hentai RPGM I have ever tried to this date since the past 4 years (among games with 'RPGM' title) Not only did I love the artwork & CG scenes but also the storyline is quite immersive as well. It really got me curious how each main story & sub story would unfold for her, I wanna give a huge round of applause to those that worked hard into making this game. I also like the fact that this game has all variations of hentai activities minus the disgusting ones like scat and futa (except for urinal..) and I do hope they don't add such contents in future rather keep on doing with what they were doing. So far Valos & Rathpike islands are available, and two more islands are yet to be implemented in later updates which I am very much interested in. There also many variations of monsters in the game as well. The last update was 2 months ago, I really hope they release the next update as soon as possible. I highly recommend this game to all hentai RPGM lovers, you won't be disappointed.

the problem with the game is that they add new storylines with each update instead of focusing on older ones (Star citizen style). the farm stuff still isn't fully in the game. other than that the game is great

that's true, this is the 25th version of the game and yet a lot of the old missions in the game have't been finished yet which was a bit turn off for me
I think they take too long to release updates but every time they do, they end up adding content to various quests or new stories... they should focus on finishing the ones that are incomplete or they will never finish the game.

so any idea if the steam version will get a patch to make it the complete version? cause if I remember correctly this game has 3 versions that thats a fucking mess
Most likely not officially. Most likely the content removed from the game violates steam policies and several laws in places they do business.
That's a common issue with Patreon games.
It does make a lot of sense business-wise, if your game is decently popular it's safer to milk it for as long as possible than get a quick burst of cash from releasing a finished product. Not all folks that support the current game's development will stay to support the next one's.
That's why so many games like this are perpetually work-in-progress. That being said, it is quite different than Star Citizen in that if they wanted, they could likely finish stuff up eventually, Star Citizen is most likely never going to be what was promised. And nobody expects cutting edge technology from most porn games, but SC actually sold itself partially on how incredible it sounded at time of announcement.

as far as I know it has some content that the steam one doest have due to steam rules hope someone can explain it better to you
IIRC, the Steam version lacks the Shota content by removing the Urchins quest line. But it has an exclusive quest where Claire becomes a landlady. The version on here is the complete version with both questlines in the game - which I believe is the Patreon version.

i'm honestly quite surprised how quickly main quest content dries up, sisters' questline is cut off as well sadly. is there any hope this game gets finished in a reasonal amount of time? months or a few years of waiting is totally fine, but since the first posts about this game are like 6 years old here it's kinda worrying, cuz i like the game a lot

Due to the way the devs are given support to continue developing the game I believe it will take a long time.
That's kind of the crux of the problem, isn't it? Why is a job quest among the most expansive lines in the game? Including the outfit variations, there are 80 images for anal, 44 on the swing, 32 BJ, and 12 for the marriage. That's 168 images... multiplied by 3 to eventually cover the dog and the bull, plus you say Claire getting bred. That is an awful lot of time to devote to a single, non-essential job quest when the actual story quests are still incomplete.
That seems like a poor use of resources - it makes more sense to focus on the plot quests first, then take a breather with some ranch content in between. Is this something the patrons have been clamoring for? That's the only reason that would make any sense to me, but even so, 8-19 images per variation, times 4 variations each, seems excessive.
I like CQ because there's actually a good game underneath the porn. I actually bought OG on Steam, and was so impressed by CQ v20 that I considered joining the patreon - but seeing how things shook out over the next two years, I'm really glad I didn't. Which is a shame, because there's still so much promise underneath, but they seem to be suffering feature bloat and unlikely to ever finish the game.
