I can't even get the game to boot up for some reason. I have tried multiple versions from multiple distributors, I have tried to run it without WINE, with wine, and from the console with wine, I have rebooted and reinstalled multiple times, I have waited for a sum total of about 2 or three hours for it to load, and all I get no matter what I do is a black screen with white text saying "Now Loading..." and nothing ever loads.

Does anyone have any idea why this is?

Misc information:
OS: Linux Mint
GPU: integrated
The game boots up, does not crash, does not ever load.
I have waited upwards of an hour without interrupting the process just in case, still nada.

You can just add it to Lutris, if you do not want to add it to steam as well. I use it with wine-ge-8-26-x64 (on the GoG version) and it runs fine.

Under the advice of several people in this comment section.
1. I have installed Lutris
2. Ensured that CQ is using Proton 8.0 (using the method from )
3. Ensured that CQ is using DXVK v 2.4.1

However, now Lutris simply does not launch it in the first place. no window opens, no process in the system monitor shows up, and the "play" button becomes perpetually stuck on "launching...". I don't recall if I even got to the loading screen from my original comment the first time i tried with Lutris (before steps 2 or 3).

Edit 1
I ran [lutris -d] and this is the console log:

EDIT:2
SOLVED!!!

Turns out the issue was i somehow managed to install an ancient version of Lutris. Some other guy on the Lutris forums had the same issue, so I suspect we both simply followed the same woefully out-of-date article. Thanks for all the help.
