Well, at least I know I'm playing something incomplete that may never be done. But hey, fun so far so I'll have fun for awhile!

What's this "song of ice and fire syndrome"? Sorry, I don't know what you are referencing to.To put things in perspective, if you use the Walkthrough, which has been last updated in mid 2019, +90% of the current content has already been there. The first playable release has been in 2016, seven years ago. The game obviously suffers from the 'Song of Ice and Fire' Syndrome. No reason for such slow development other than the devs having run out of ideas or being too comfortable with the financing model of unconditional, unending, subscription-based fan support in exchange for one or two exciting new scenes every month or two.
'Song of Ice and Fire' is George R.R. Martin's famous saga that gave us the HBO's 'Game of Thrones'. 'Game of Thrones' is actually the first book in the series, published in... 1996. The fifth book, 'A Dance with Dragons' came out in 2011 and the sixth has been written for 10 years now. In the meanwhile, the TV series, which premiered in 2011 had its disappointing final episode broadcasted in May 2019. You can actually see the young actors playing the main parts grow from children and teenagers into young adults throughout all those 9 years and 8 seasons. What's this "song of ice and fire syndrome"? So if I understand correctly, "song of ice and fire syndrome" means needlesly large breaks between releases? Yep, would make sense then. Still, I'm about to finish Overgrown: Genesis and well, the game is simple, but enjoyable. Has some mechanics to mess with, so it's not another powerpoint presentation with illusion of choice, so I'm hoping Claire's Quest will catch up to that and make a decent game in the end. No sense in complaining or something, as I'm satisfied with previous product, all I can do from now on is to patiently wait. Thanks for the information!'Song of Ice and Fire' is George R.R. Not just that, but also something I'd call 'narrative sprawl' whereby an initially focused story becomes an epic journey that takes forever to complete, with so many unfinished subplots that each upcoming update feels like yet another episode of your favourite soap opera. It not just this game's weak point, as too many lewd games available here are perpetual works in progress, but this one is actually too good to be allowed to dawdle. So if I understand correctly, "song of ice and fire syndrome" means needlesly large breaks between releases?
Yes, it's an annoying bug. You may use the in game cheat menu to teleport Claire to another location.hello. l found a bug. when i exit the inn i got stuck in the water. The location is narfu village. This happens every time after all quests for thieves are done
Yep, that's also true. Claire starts off as a poor peasant girl, my general plan when starting was to run away into safety, try to find whether my family is alive and if so, bring them to me, and make a living somehow, but instead I end up as what? Breeding ranch owner, nun, hunter, mercenary, prostitute, shield-sister (or something, I'm not sure what Aslaug called Claire), oh, exorcist for the little boy and alchemist with that gypsy girl too... What else? It's all content and it's all nice, but I also lack the "main plotline". I dislike that we are kinda pushed into being a hero, my mentality would be something like "fuck off boys, as Claire I'm a big fucking noone, don't expect wonders". You made me wonder how the ending would look like? I mean, I guess we could try and retake the continent, but once more, Claire is noone. Let me compare to the previous game as I just finished it today, Overgrown Genesis, there we at least were vaccinated against our will and had some "solid allies", but Claire is alone for the most part, really, how does she plan to wage a war? And even if, why would she be the leader or any participant? Not just that, but also something I'd call 'narrative sprawl' whereby an initially focused story becomes an epic journey that takes forever to complete, with so many unfinished subplots that each upcoming update feels like yet another episode of your favourite soap opera. Personally I think this game works best if you play it the same way Skyrim works best: Sure, you *can* do everything in one playthrough, become the Archmage, the leader of the Companions, guildmaster of the Thieves' Guild, etc. But the game is much more satisfying if you choose in advance what kind of character you're going to "roleplay" and play the game only doing the content that fits the character you've chosen, dedicating a different playthrough for each archetype.Yep, that's also true. You could in theory do that, but since none of the subquests are completed you will choose or happen upon more than one 'adventure' in the same playthrough, especially as they are not mutually exclusive, connect at many points and also completing tasks in one quest raises stats, which are later required to complete tasks in other quests, not to mention items found and money earned... The other way of raising stats is by using in-game cheats (which is fun-spoiling a bit for me) or using trainers, which are unlocked through.... different subquests (Defiance Trainer in Mercenary Quest; Seduction Trainer in Brothel Job; Intrigue Trainer in Scholar quest and Depravity Trainer in Ranger quest). Beastslut Claire (Ranger) needs to be thoroughly depraved for the player to get lewd scenes (+30 Depravity to wear bear outfit, for example), so she should have substantial experience in selling her body or otherwise slutting around through Sisters of Fertility questline, for instance. The Beastwife Breeder job has entry requirements so high that Claire needs to be a seasoned, filthy rich degenerate to unlock it, which I don't think is going to happen through one sub-quest only. She may buttfuck the Unpleasant Man at the Inn in Rathpike day in day out, but will only gain +1 Depravity, no more, same with any other repeatable events - there is only a once off stat bonus to them. And the cooldown periods between each of Isobelle's breaking-in sessions seem to tell the player to go out and do something else.Personally I think this game works best if you play it the same way Skyrim works best: Sure, you *can* do everything in one playthrough, become the Archmage, the leader of the Companions, guildmaster of the Thieves' Guild, etc. But the game is much more satisfying if you choose in advance what kind of character you're going to "roleplay" and play the game only doing the content that fits the character you've chosen, dedicating a different playthrough for each archetype.
So my playing of this game is more like, one save for Beastslut Claire, one save for Prostitute Claire, etc.
I agree, that would make a lot more sense. But well, first of all nothing is stopping me and I want to be able to load back into the game in a few months, play whatever is new in 0.23 (or whatever the next version is) and go back to doing my own stuff. I also don't want to limit my save slots and memorize which one is which one, it would be lovely if I could name them, and the most I've loaded back was around 1,5 hour, as I missed my chance to get thrown into Meat Pit, so once more, if I didn't save regularily I would be kinda fucked.Personally I think this game works best if you play it the same way Skyrim works best: Sure, you *can* do everything in one playthrough, become the Archmage, the leader of the Companions, guildmaster of the Thieves' Guild, etc. But the game is much more satisfying if you choose in advance what kind of character you're going to "roleplay" and play the game only doing the content that fits the character you've chosen, dedicating a different playthrough for each archetype.

My current playthrough, which reach the end of available content has 21 opened quests/jobs: 3 main, 7 secondary, 1 minor and 10 jobs. Apart from the Prologue quests and jobs none of these have concluded and at no point I had to choose one over the other. Having 7 separate saves for these 7 subquests is pointless and counterproductive to be honest. There is no Prostitute Claire that couldn't be a Ranger Claire, a Mercenary Claire, a Sister Claire or any other Claire in the very same playthrough. There are 3 prostitution jobs available (4, if you include the prologue whoring in the toilet, but this one you lose upon completion of the Prologue) that may be taken repeatedly at any stage in the game, provided she has enough energy to perform them. Collecting cum from farm animals either by hand, mouth or any other orifice in exchange for money could also qualify as prostitution, sex work for sure.I agree, that would make a lot more sense. But well, first of all nothing is stopping me
I think you can still get the Meat Pit treatment, even if you arrived at Rathpike safely or agreed to pay off the thugs. Just explore the Rathpike's Undercity East.as I missed my chance to get thrown into Meat Pit,
Well, it's a lewd game featuring taboo fetishes first and foremost, so a healthy dose of porn logic is to be expected. Too bad that everything now seems to be heading in the beastie direction, as if the titular quest is to establish a ranch for girls who prefer furry quadrupeds over human males. This or magically growing a dick atop your vulva so you can have the best of both worlds! Your catatonic mother can wait. And second of all, still, you are a poor peasant. I don't think Claire's home was a ranch. How did she learn how to properly take care of horses? By getting fucked by them? One lesson of lockpicking and she is a master thief?
It's high time I gave it another try. It may be less overgrown than Bubba's back, who knows? And third of all, there isn't really any game mechanic to follow. I'm going to once again compare it to Overgrown: Genesis
Exactly. I need to say that I don't mean it as a bad thing, it just shows that the game is far from finished. I think enforcing us to chooes one way of playing over another is equally stupid (let's say, if you have 15 defiance, you can't perform any prostitution jobs), like, why? It's one of the laziest ways and cuts out content for no good reason. You put a stupid wall saying "no, you can't access content "x" becouse you already chose a different route and are accessing content "y", load a save and have n different playtroughts to access everything".My current playthrough, which reach the end of available content has 21 opened quests/jobs: 3 main, 7 secondary, 1 minor and 10 jobs. If you look closely, there is not one lewd or even a chaste romantic scene involving Clare and a grown male with pure intentions who could become a love interest to her. I have my theory why that is.I'm waiting for more Slayer content as I think it's a girl (the old couple reffered to her... "her"), Aslaug, the redhead with a kid named Leon and gypsy girl. But no, I'm not into lesbian either, it's just that I have no real other choice, what else is there? Futa? Rape by kids? Like, come on, characters that I mentioned are the only one that are consensual and have some personality attached.
