I mean, that was to be expected. The question is how exactly will it end? As far as I can see with the info present in the game, as soon as we get the actual criminals out of the city the mercs will probably ease down a lot, since without the actively corrupting faction in the city the warlord-come-king can actually divert resources to rebuilding the old infrastructure and said warrior-king really doesn't seem to be a malicious person himself. But I also think getting the thugs out is only the halfway point of rathpikes restoration, since because of the recent history there is still a lot of damage to be fixed. Not to mention, restoring the military power of rathpike will probably be pivotal to getting the continent back ironically.Yes, the Thieves' quest line leads to this
Velos is a bit more complicated. The only thing I can see right now is purging the nobility from the most debauched and corrupted individuals/families. Given that I sided with the doctor, I assume there will be a way involving her and furthering her chimera research. Whilst of questionable morality itself, a chimera army would definitely help in fighting the monster hordes.
