I really don't understand how this game only has a 1.8 rating, I know it's the "download the game, use the gallery code, get off once or twice and forget about it" game but the actual gameplay REALLY isn't that bad.

this is some wishful thinking but the whole gameplay experience became so boring, BS(breeding season) fans never ask for dungeon crawler game and devs made them more difficult to finish their project.

Devs added it in order to stay in "early access game development" so they can milk more new players in steam.

Devs and S-purple themselves never improve their game from the previous BS game.

And literally nobody is going to see it that way, because of two things that go hand-in-hand:

1. S-Purple pretty much played an integral part in Breeding Season, a project that flopped due to reasons directly related to said person. As a result, this is now a stain on their reputation.
2. S-Purple exacerbated everything by starting another "breeding simulator with porn" project shortly after that flop.

Had the new game been something entirely different - ideally, not reminiscent of Breeding Season in the slightest, e.g., a dungeon crawler without porn and breeding - , then the project would have had a fighting chance. Such striking similarity, however, made the backlash even harder and sealed its fate AT LEAST amongst people familiar with Breeding Season. Not to mention that updates, whilst far from the worst in terms of frequency, can often be summarized using two lines: "Balance changes" and "Bugfixes", which is a tell-tale sign that the "development" is slowing down (if not stopped already) and the focus starts shifting towards "support".

Lastly, the game tried to incorporate both porn/breeding and dungeon crawling - "Jack of all trades, Ace of none". Nothing more to say.

TL;DR: S-Purple is a scamming piece of shit and Cloud Meadow will end up like Duke Nukem Forever, an absolutely disappointing pile of shit that took forever to develop.

no new HD animations, they already stopped producing HD animation at year 2017 or 2018, if you look JudgeHeath(game developer) comments in the older pages started page 90-onward just by reading it.

It's mainly that that people are (rightfully) pissed at the Devs. S-Purples stunt with breeding season had it in hot water for a good chunk of it but right now Its the dev team and their inability to move the game forward. So yes while game is indeed fun and just extremely fucking interesting, it feels unfinished, and it'll probably remain that way until someone fires a part internal team or the game gets abandoned.
THAT is why the game is so despised.
