Looking forward to the ten year anniversary of development.
When was there last a new scene? 2021?
Edit: After replaying a little, I suppose there is quite a lot of polish added. Not sure if 10 years worth, but the game feels very fleshed out and like an actual game. Maybe I was a little too mad. Great stuff, just wish we got big-pixel animations instead of the small-pixel ones, but even the small ones are good.

So, two years of development SPurple said, I didn't play it, but to me, as an outsider, it looks like they are making as much progress as Breeding Season did. It has been what, 7-8 years? No finished game?
This is pretty much a scam taking advantage of people who cannot accept breeding season is gone
so their social manager is pretty much THREATENING more delays

am playing through the game and I beat tro's labs boss and got got sent back but my quests are stuck as "Finds Tro's Lab" and "Enter Tro's lab" and it wont correct itself granted this is good for farming exp because I can fight the boss again but doing it multiple times does not fix it and I want to move on so does
anyone here know of a fix? nvm updated versions and because I picked up the logs it is bugged.

Only just heard of this game, it sounds pretty good based on the steam reviews. The thread reviews here are not so favorable. Apparently it's supposed to hit v1.0 this year, but it's only in v0.2.3 and with like 4 big updates still on their roadmap.
A lot of the hate comes from drama over breeding season, essentially much of a he said she said between two of the devs on the previous game, one of whom jumped ship and founded this one. The rest of the hate is due to the looooong development.
The best way to judge the game is to take it for what it is, ignore everyone else and go based purely off what you saw in the game and what you enjoyed or disliked. There are, after all, quite a few people who worked on this besides the main controversial figure and I think their efforts deserve to be recognized.
In my opinion there are a few things that could go a long way, such as adding number shortcuts to attacks (1-4) in the combat like in Darkest Dungeon so you don't have to drag the mouse around a lot or sound effects like garbled noises to represent speech.

At least tell the important part of the story. The dev from this game was the main artist from Breeding Season, and thanks to some legal bullshit, when he left, all the art that he had done for breeding season couldn't be used anymore. Breeding season was a scam, sure, and the guy left accusing it, but here he comes and does the same thing. This game is in develop for what 7-8 years? He promised 2 years.
