Several possibilities:
1. support starting to dwindle, revenue went down
2. suddenly fell into a redemption arc and felt morally obliged to actually provide their patrons their money's worth (highly unlikely)
3. just bait for next victims

Nothing happened. They finished all HD scenes they said they were going to do: 2 of each monster - one per gender, and one per gender for all the party member NPCs.
After then that they went to "quantity over quality" of small res/pixel/minimalistic animations.
This is, of course, a bad move in general for a porn game, and the quality of the gameplay (nor anything else, really) has not improved at the price of reduced workload from no animations.
They're doing 2 more big scenes for another NPC right now though, apparently. God only knows how many long months those will take. And they're with a human male, so literally who gives a fuck?
I was wondering the hell they are hot-fixing? the background or what like literally there has been 400 or more hotfixes for fixing some numbers. It ain't lol or some mmo to do this for literally straight every month.

They are not fixing anything, they are NOT even actually working on the game at all. Anyone says otherwise has an agenda.
Those changelog / 'updates' are deliberately made for the purpose of Deceiving / Gifting people to pay them money for nothing.
I actually like having a couple human ones thank you. lol But yeah I can't really see where all the improvements have went.
Seems more like a lot of rehashings.
I'm still in the same boat, niether of the bepinex seem to work for me, whatever i do f1 doesn't bring up anything for me, any solution?
Did I understand correctly that the game is not bad, but such a low rating is due to some kind of development process or something like that? So is it worth playing now?

Yeah, most of the negativity is due to a shitstorm related to lead developer shafting the previous project he was an artist on, and the glacial pace of current development.
Game itself is not "good" by most measures, but those measures depend heavily on what you expect from a porn game. The overall quality of execution is definitely above the average. A solid skeleton with a really good-looking skin, but barely any meat on them bones.

Are you guys deliberately trying to misrepresent, or just can't read at all?
This game is spit upon cause It's a scam, one that offers an interesting prototype, took tons of money from backers, but never being working on for the past 8 years, meanwhile using multiple manipulative and deceiving practices to continue grifting uneducated mass.
If you want to play it, now is as good a time as any, cuz it won't ever be improved
