They should have made the sprite animations with the side characters HD too. What's the point of watching a few pixels having fun with each other? :/ Even Spurp could do some looping animations with 3 or 4 frames. Even if they would not be as detailed and high quality as the rest of the HD animations, they would still be much more enjoyable in my opinion.

its called Spurple is being lazy at this point, he doesnt want to produce those HD animations as Judgeheath stated previous here in this thread 5 yrs ago(2019 comments) and quote & quote "too expensive to produce" that's their garbage excuse they dont want to risk their small company.

So making tons of food sprites, tiny sprite animations and mods for Darkest Dungeon is not expensive, but to draw some HD animations with 4 pictures it makes everything expensive. One of the backers should have asked: Do you guys have to pay a hundred dollars per brush stroke or something? But I guess if lame excuses are OK for the backers then who are we to judge.
To be honest, Breeding Season was sabotaged by both parties. Although it would be more correct to say that it was utilized by both parties rather than sabotaged. And yes I have read both parties explanation of the situation back then.

i dont know man, there are some breeding season fans here that support cloud meadow project to produce more HD animations majority here in this thread but then Judgeheath and others decided to not produce because reasons.
many BS fans here got angry by that decision announcement, like something fucked up internally in their small studio team.
Perhaps the devs themselves don't know what this game is actually want to be. I understand that Spurp is a foodie, but c'mon man. Why the hell do you have to introduce My Little Farm with cooking into an ADULT game when you know that you have limited resources (according to them) and by doing so, those limited resources are being taken away from the actual thing that the supporters are paying for. Which is, let's all say it out loud: PORN!
And not food porn, my little (fantasy) farm or dungeon crawling for the bored ones. These are supposed to be only secondary things and not the primary ones which they are currently for them.

This game has been a mess for a long time, doesn't help either that they can't seem to be able to do any updates with decent content for a long time.
I wouldn't call a gold mine filled with copium-overdosed patrons a "mess"

I think they could do meaninful updates if they really wanted to. But that's the thing. They don't want to. There is no motive for them to do that. They get paid in either way as we can see that. And when a situation like this exists, it's only up to the moral values of the individuals to decide whether they take advantage of the situation (i.e. milking the project) or not. We already know what they're doing. The only question for us that needs to be answered, whether we would do the same if we were in their shoes, or not.
They are probably ignorant, starved for some quality content, but there is no similar competitor or they are already satisfied with the current results. Who knows, maybe they are also foodies. So they want more food porn content in the game.

Yeah hbomb was a lazy shit. I won't defend him. But spurple blowing the whole thing up, saying he was doing it to help the poor exploited fans, then proceeding to make his personal dream game on top of its corpse seems a lot more malicious to me.

majority supporters at that time before the drama happen, a lot of people paying this game for porn because the art style was so good and it is the driven source of income.
this studio game group fail to see the potential of capitalizing their income and yes it was little too late...
nowadays they are less supporters in this game and now their team got shrunk because one of their team have already left and now they starting to have overwork in their studio.
this is how a studio/small team fails working on a porn game not seeing the potential what was their goal in the 1st place.
the way i see it now, their team is crumbling down because overwork issues(just by reading the kemono site news).
It's funny that it's still missing a solid chunk of the animations that were in Breeding Grounds like a decade ago. It's way better animation now, but still. They have added a lot more to the game, but I agree with Marcos32 and don't really care about the new stuff.
And why don't you care? Because the new stuff they are providing is not the kind of stuff you are here for. They've made a tipical beginner's mistake by introducing too much features, more than they could handle with an unprofessional staff (and I'm not talking about the HD animators here, because they are pros and they did an awesome job). Spurp is also a pro in the artistic field (I really like his works, that's why I'm here and probably you too), but not in game design. WTF the other's in the team are doing? There wasn't a single one of them that would say: Hey guys I think we should finish the core value of the game first (breeding and animation) and only then we should introduce new stuff to the game. And those new stuff should be ero related too. I mean if you really persistent about adding farming features to the game then why the heck don't you make the plants to grow into anthropomorphic creatures. If you really want to make combat a part of the game, why don't you make it more erotic too. The masked lady's Ultimate Fantasy skill (if I remember right) should be the way to make combat more fun (in the ero way). Doesn't it sound more fun already this way?
