Not only that, but today we have AI generated animated sprite porn that is piss easy to make, and they could easily replace all of the fucking sprite sex with actual high quality shit equal to the farm animations. There's no excuse. With that money they could even just not use AI and hire actual animators to do what the artist who left didn't.
It's extremely disappointing but par for the course of this community. Happens all the fucking time. Those who abandon their projects have more honor and dignity than the ones who endlessly milk patreon supporters because they know they'll get away with it. Just taking money from retards at this point. And a part of me can't even blame them. They know there are suckers, so they'll scam them and get away with it. I only wish I could get a refund because I know this will never be finished.

I think it's just irresponsible people that either don't care about the money, are too lazy to cancel it, or they (somehow) genuinely still cling to some non-existent hope by longing for an idealized version of this game that will never be (maybe because they lack critical thinking abilities? I'm not really sure)

I try to tell myself the majority of people simply forget they were ever subscribed in the first place. It makes it easier for me to justify than thinking most are actually foolish and gullible enough to continue funding something like this willingly.

So I ditched this back when the Dev Roadmap said they were done adding full scenes to the game and that all remaining sex would be sprites.

It's been god-knows-how-many years since then.

From skimming the changelogs it looks like that was for real, but if so I can't imagine how the game persisted since then. Anyone who's up-to-date have any insight? Is there some magical secret porn still in this porn game (at a resolution greater than 16x16p), or are the Patrons just honestly invested in the abysmal bait-and-switch dungeon-crawler that took the place of their farm n' fuck fantasy?

I have been on their discord for months now and I think the guy is a genius, they posted this

"The current plan is to deliver Cloud Meadow v1.0 with the full feature set that was promised in the 2023 roadmap; The ideas after that:

1. on the lead-up to release Team Nimbus will begin preproduction on an interim project 'game 2' which is smaller, uses a subset of the team and plays to their strengths (art and writing) with a simpler genre or format
2. development of 'game 2' will help bridge preproduction into a potential 'game 3' which is likely to be something different and a new IP

The team hired a new production lead and it led to taking another serious look at the rest of development and what's most essential for the v1.0 release (the most quality work possible in the best amount of time) to bring it closer. As a result some things that were up in the air previously are basically cut unless the team gets a surprising explosion of popularity post-release. Cloud Meadow will at the very least have a period of maintenance to sort out any bugs or glitches but otherwise no promises for post release content can be made at this time."

Nah, I think we might've gotten something if the devs and writers were actually good at their jobs. A big Issue with Cloud Meadow boils down to incompetency and an unwillingness to keep it a simple farm 'n sex game.

Using updates to milk money from supporters or those who bought the game is another issue with Cloud Meadow, albeit one that requires barely any introduction. I can go on and on, though I'd be stating obvious stuff at this point.

I wouldn't treat Cloud Meadow as a gold egg laying goose, I'd halt development and hire people who can do the job to finish the development.
