I remember seeing some walkthrough or guide in one of the pages of this thread but I would really appreciate it if someone pin the walkthrough to the main page.

I've been trying to find the Malice enemy in the Forest, but for the life of me, I have never seen it. Is there some sort of condition, other than it being night time, for it to appear?

Also, I got to the decontamination chamber, but it still won't let me get through the DNA scanners(I have something blocking my mouth) and I have no idea what to do to be able to progress in the Lab because I can't get the parasite removal recipe.

Not sure if there's any plans for it... but some kind of 'gallery' mode where you can see the effects of various enemies, but without the occasionally arduous journey to get to them...

In the meantime, I'm going to start looking for how to cheat and break the game in new ways XD

As I've said before, someone really need to pin the guides/walkthrough to the main page so that it's easier to find. I am not a masochist. I'm not gonna read through all the 1600+ posts and 84 pages.

you can use the search function if you really need those guides
The guides are all over the place. There is not one single compiled version. And next, you're probably gonna suggest that I waste my precious 2 days of weekend day-off gathering the scraps instead of using that time to spend time with my family.

I totally understand your point, and respect it, since we are in similar cases each others.

Usually, in order to look for a "guide" of any kind, is preferable that you search in the latest post at the time, or latest post after the last update release.
As another consideration is search " I made a guide/walkthrough ", since most of the complete guides start with that.

In our case, the latest guide is this one, a guide made after the last big update of the game.
The latest update is more of a story type update, rather than a playability one.

Remember, all of us are here just for a good time. Trying to do something with out free time.
If you find this game too much complex, or confusing, you could give a look to the side story of this game. A game much more simpler than this one, and round in its design; so you should not expect any bug nor dead ends. Plus, it have a little guide built in it, so if you somehow got stuck, there's always an option for start again.

Anyway, have a good night.

What the big guide is missing is any explanation of "real world" events. I'm currently stuck on "Nanami is tired all the time. Why?" Or whatever it says. Got Yuri's birthday party done, can't find Nanami anywhere except the maid cafe, where she just does the same blushing things every time. I know Kari mentioned the park, but I don't see Nanami there and it's always raining when I go.

And yes, I've tried searching the thread, but F95 is almost as bad as Amazon about popping up unrelated BS in search results.

Speaking of the park, what's the deal with the weird tree, and is there any use for the mushrooms?

That guide didn't said anything about those events you relate for, since those came in the latest update for story-related content...

I have to say, that it isn't totally clear how this new story sequence actually work, since it's still in development... The only real hint we have, is check the diary, in MC room (Look in the desktop pc; it should have an option for that).
The diary will tell what you have left to do. But It could be a little bit buggy, if you didn't really tried to follow the order of events...

Well, as I said, I already did Yuri's birthday party. I can't find anything else after that, and it was its own separate objective in the diary on the computer.

On the subject of the Mind and Will bars, I've never been able to figure out what those mean. I know that in the beginning, if you choose the first blue dialogue with Kari that indicates your Mind bar will go to empty . . .

But beyond that, I've never been able to notice any effects.

It used to be tied to nightmares, right? Or was it progressing your transformation? I got slugs once, but without the after-effect it used to have. The mushrooms in the forest always give me the same vine nightmare, and the only other thing I've seen (2 or 3 times, I think from low health) is the place where you can actually walk around a little, and talk to a spooky ghost-whatever, but then you walk out the door and that's it. 20250325v1, BTW

Actually, if I want something interesting to happen, do I want those bars empty or full? I don't even know.

And the green bar, I've never noticed anything except you're locked out of some dialog choices if you don't have enough for what the choice seems to require. And I don't even know what the effect of those dialog choices might be. Very few times has a dialog choice seemed meaningful. Most times, you have to go through all of them anyway. An indication of the difference would be very helpful - that is to say, something that warns you a dialog choice is a one-time opportunity, and excludes the other choice.

In April of this year, the author made a post on Patreon explaining planned changes to some stats and mechanics, (not sure if posting that here is allowed, and it isn't necessarily helpful anyway, since it's proposed changes, not current state) but unfortunately, for Mind and Will, he just said "Mind(Blue)-Unchanged Will(Green)-Unchanged"

He did also say, ""Cohesion" doesn't make sense anymore since Dissonance isn't used in the Mind drain formula, so it's been removed." Which I guess makes me feel better about not understanding what those do, either.

I would swear I understood this game's mechanics better when I first played, but that was years ago.

One not spoilery tip I'll volunteer to anyone about the "real world": After the beginning portion where school events are pretty unavoidable-- If the diary on your home computer says to talk to Kari or Yuri, you should probably try going to school, going to the bottom-left corner of the classroom in the middle left, and interacting with the desk to advance time until it's afternoon. Then one room north for Kari, or north and across the courtyard to the library, where Yuri's in the top left. You can only do one per day, and there doesn't seem to be anything else to do there after the beginning, so save yourself some time looking around unnecessarily. Or correct me if I'm wrong. I wasted SO much time doing laps around the school checking rooms with no-one in them and at the wrong time of day for the right rooms.

Ohh... so it seems I may have broken that by going out of order, since I already did the birthday party. And I wasn't complaining at all about the incomplete state of the game, just asking for a primer on the current mechanics. It honestly didn't even occur to me that there were two "routes." I just thought maybe story dialog would or wouldn't change based on my current state.

And thank you for your answer, BTW!
