This last update seems to have taken steps in the right direction, like the clues in the manor, but some stuff still feel repetitive, like the blue and green bars which are a chore to refill compared to how quickly they can be emptied which can lead to multiple "game overs" in a row. Alongside the constant reset of dream locations, which make even less sense now with the dream house. I believe the game would be more enjoyable if it wasnt necessary to have to find keys/items to reopen doors constantly, even moreso when most actions cost energy.

I tried it out, but the game feels a bit too clunky. It just doesn't feel right with no diagonal movement and the collisions feel a bit too rough. I also think having some auditory feedback on your actions and when NPCs interact with you would make this game not feel like a demo

Does the initial choice for the DNA scanner matter in any way? Except for the dialogue fluff and the appearance within the "prologue" section, that is.

Maybe this will sound stupid, but maybe you can make MC gender selection at the beginning? For example possibility to start as a girl already (with corresponding dialogues), slowly becoming more feminine, for those who don't like gender change fetish? Because overall the game is very interesting and complex, and many more players will play the game if there was a possibility of such choice.

I've been through this many times. What you're describing requires developing two separate games.
I also have no interest in writing that kind of story.
I personally think you don't need to have a fetish to enjoy it, just how you don't need to have a fetish to watch Ranma 1/2 or Onimai or whatever seasonal gender swap anime. Though I realize it's big ask for an adult game.
One of them counts towards a perk, though it's not necessary.
The 4 unique pregnancies one, I guess?
Btw, the shrooms visuals are supposed to be random, but is it really intended for them to look the same too? It adds nothing to the game that I rolled for 4 or 5 different shrooms to look exactly the same.
It's an elaborate multi stage puzzle.
So, yes, it's deliberate.
