If you do change any puzzles in a significant way, could you post the prior solution here, if it does not spoil or hint at the current solution? I feel like it would be helpful to know the thought process in making/solving that sort of puzzle and it would allow people to give more detailed feedback.
On one run I found a random key lying on the ground, Plus the slime key and skeleton key for a total of 3 keys. One for the hut, and I'm guessing the other 2 were for the chest and basement door, but I got stuck in the grey dimension before I could test the random ground key on the chest and haven't progressed any further. I'm guessing escaping grey zone involves dropping all her items as hinted in the journal, approaching a colored tree from one direction then turning 90 degrees and walking out but that wouldn't make sense since the needle cannot be dropped. Maybe the needle doesn't count as an item? Going on that assumption there's 3 colored trees with maybe 8 different movement patterns to test on each but it's pretty easy to run into the pink monster on 3x speed which crashes the game and I just couldn't be bothered.

Finally got the right proportions with the talking trees help but the game crashed when I laid down in the circle so still no heavy rain for me I guess.

Sorry about that. Seems like a "fix" I did in one of the hotfixes that caused that. Updated the mega folder.
-Swapped around rusty chest and simple chest locations.
-Fixed the ritual crash
As a heads-up:
5/5 conditions = heavy rain + pregnancy
4/5 conditions = heavy rain
Male + 4/5 or 5/5 conditions = heavy rain + summons Venus
-Removed sparkle from Staff. Maybe I'll put it back in, I dunno.

I don't intend to change the puzzles in the new area.
I feel like the process is standardized enough now. You just need to extract useful information from journal entries.
I admit, expecting people to use a cup in the WC, then bringing it to a microwave(oven?), that appears to be uninteractable, then using the cup on the freezer door was peak King's Quest.
I tried the new version that you posted with the forest and I think that the journal is a step in the right direction for a guide of how are you supposed to do the things in that dream/area. But still, I'm unable to do that potion in the cauldron that requires (from what I understood) 3 mushrooms, one being the death candle (the ones that emit light during the night), the mindsap and the echo fungus.
I can see that the journal gives us lore and hints that tell us how to advance, but I reached a point that I can't go forward. I discovered that void-forest with the shadows, how to go from the hut to the orange tree then to the slime next to the white tree so you can recover the other key to open the chest inside the hut or the other one that's buried. I obtained the green book to identify the mushroom, I got them, and when I tried to make the recipe nothing happened. After that, I don't know what else I need to do.
And I have to admit, I was reading the last note from the corpse of scientist in the grey area and I got scared when the four-legged beast attacked the MC while I was reading, I didn't expect it. I think that this new area is heading to the right direction ,is spookier compared to the other ones even if this one only has slimes and trees (for the most part atleast). But it migh be the hardest one to decipher compared to the other ones.

Is the portal to fairy lake broken in the latest version or is there another step after the green sparkles?
The puzzle about hydras seems impossible. Idk, using heated water cup on the freezer door was more obvious than that. Am I missing something important from the note?
after i have the new paint ( with crystal, egg and dusk ), i paint the door but i just wake up .... Seriously, i don t know what to do ....
alright, I managed to get the catalyst, still have no idea how I was supposed to guess it though. Now I get no result when combining lilyth and true hydra, both with and without a key. I also tried to hold the key in hands while brewing, but still got no result

Yeah, looks like true hydra doesn't spawn some times and the catalyst just picks a random false one. I think I fixed it just now.
While testing I've also seen a seed where hydras don't spawn at all. Have no idea what causes that at the moment.
Have you tried pressing enter, space or z?
oh I see, so I was just lucky enough to get a bad seed. By the way, does the seed affect an entire save, or a single dream?

It's generated at the start of a new game. But you should be able to use your current save.
Thanks for you help, I have created a new save anyway and managed to open the rusty chest this time (hooray!). Now I have another problem with an elixir that should let one pass through walls. If you gather all necessary ingredients and try to brew it, nothing happens. Maybe the quantity of frost caps is wrong, given that you can actually get more than needed for the recipe. Other than that, It's nice to see that you've found a use for almost all entities from the demo version in this area
Someone posted a guide more than a year ago page 39, some things are probably outdated but a lot of stuff are still relevant (I stumble across this game a few days ago and that guide helped me big time).
BTW, since one of the main aspects of the game is transformation, it could be nice to get turned into some monsters you encounter, like broodmothers, banshees, ghosts or slimes (turned into a slimegirl).
Maybe by "interacting with them" too much your MC starts to acquire some of their physical traits. Pale skin and demonic eyes for banshee, glowing eyes for ghost etc...

The guide is severely outdated, IME. Even back when last I played through, which was some months ago, it referenced dreams I didn't get and actions I couldn't take.
