Book 1: The Blade and the Whip
To get away from it all, Coley returns to Voodoo Island, with Kit, Harry & Lon in tow. Coley tells Kit the full story of what happened when he was kidnapped by Rev. Swinborne. He meets up with Maria, who he knew from his previous trip, and asks her to dance with him for the tourists. Lulu, the voodoo priestess, warns him of "The Black Widow", a new sorceress on the island who's an "evil beetch". Coley saves Kit & Lon from a shark, almost at the cost of his own life.
Book 2: Caged Heat
Coley arrives in Palmettoville, and is eyed suspiciously by Chief Beasley, who suggests he can get a room at Palmetto House, but advises he leave town quickly. Coley interrupts Billy beating up Joey. Joey tells Coley about his friend's murder. At Palmetto House, Carolina is quickly smitten with Coley, and moves him into her room. He tells her he's looking for a "gang of killers". Beasley, who realizes Coley is a lot nicer than he seems, discusses the murders with him. Rich girl Samantha Bishop invites Coley to perform at her mansion; both she and her friend Douglas O'Hara are attracted to him. Miz Liza, protective of Carolina, shows her how wild & uncontrollable Coley is, then offers him the formula for the voodoo sex potion-- something no "Mojo" has ever had before-- if he'll just leave her alone. Coley does, and shacks up with Joey instead. In a bad part of town, Maggie O'Hara has her way with Coley, then tells him she has videotape evidence of one of the killings. He urges her to take it to the police before anything else happens. Kit arrives in town, introducing herself to Carolina. On his way to church, Joey is kidnapped by Billy.
Book 3: Hard Throb
Back from his travels, Coley has returned to California and is working on a new film with Harry. To stay out of Chief Tanner's way, he's mostly stayed around Harry's house, but is beginning to feel cooped up. Laura, a reporter hoping to snag a high-profile job, wants to interview Coley. After putting her off, Harry changes his mind and agrees. She tells her younger brother Cortland that Coley specifically invited HIM to come along. Outside the studio, Coley makes it with a trucker, Tommy, who hopes he'll see Coley again. That night, Coley, Laura & Cort watch one of Coley's movies-- in bed-- and soon things get extrememly wild. Afterwards, Cort feels he's "ruined" his relationship with his sister. To both their surprise, Coley tells Cort he really wants him, more than anyone he's ever wanted before. Cort moves in with Coley.
Book 4: Destiny Coast
After 10 long years, Coley returns home for a reunion with his mother, Lorna Lee, and his first true love-- his brother, James. Both are astonished to learn he's still alive, and as they come to terms with events-- past and present, Coley's influence begins to take hold on all around him, including his mother's art class, her maid, gardener, pool boy, and others. We slowly learn the details of why Coley left home, what happened to him, and his late father. Before leaving town, Coley puts on a show at a local bar frequented by gays, and saves James from a crowd of gay-bashers. He encourages James to be a free spirit like he is, and assures him that nothing will ever come between them again.
