HTML - College Daze [v0.517a] [G28]

The writing is exceptional and it really hit's the domination angles in a natural way. I find myself going through the game because I find the characters and story arcs real interesting. Extra bonus points for impregnation related content.

Probably the best game out there, absolutely the best HTML game out there, brilliant, amazing writing, so much choice and replayability. Just play it already if you haven't, there's stuff for everyone.

Have to say this game is one of the best examples of quality and consistency of releases. We get regular releases, the game's story is progressing. Characters develop, choices appear to matter and the videos/pictures fit most situations where they are used. This game is 3 1/2 years old but because of the steady release schedule we have now a lot of content both in multiple choices that can be taken but also in repeatability because of how fleshed out our options are. There is so much content that the community literally made a mod to allow you to go back in time to playout multiple paths in one playthrough.

This game is dense and it actually get more content and options are the game progresses. When the game first came out it was semi linear before you meet titus. But the dev has gone back and fleshed out the options you have and allowed for more clues and information to reach the player earlier if you invest in those choices. Yet the games still gets new content on the story side progressing time and the story forward.

Choices Matter.

You have so many options that actually change outcomes that you can't explore all options in a single playthrough. Results of a choice may not manifest until days after the fact. If you recruit a girl to your side you wont know she is protecting your friends until many days later.

You can permanently change people appearance so the pictures and videos used for the character are changed.

You can side with different factions in the power struggles of the game.

You can be kind or cruel. Allow people autonomy or steal their free will.

The story.

The game's story actually allows you to use the power you have gain in so many different situations you don't feel they are just narrative tools for the writer but actually abilities you can use. This is important in a story about magic and spell that you actually feel you can use your spells in the game relatively freely vs narrowly defined moments that many games that have spellcraft in their story.

Lots of it. With both stills and video., as well as text descriptions.

Characters.

The characters in the game are varied in their opinions of the Main Character. They have agenda's separate from the MC and depending on your choices may join forces with you or not. Rio seems to be the only scripted ally in the game, with others being harder or easy to get onside with the MC. Some character's personalities can be changed dramatically. While still others can be forced into you faction by removing their free will. Saving a character can make them eternally grateful, some will join you because they hate their current leader. There are so many characters that you can't explore them all in a single playthrough.

Conclusion.

One of the best games on the site lots of options in terms of kinks. Some supported with more content than others. Pretty easy to avoid content you don't want to partake in.

This is a true gem for a lover of either power fantasy, mother corruption and general corruption.

For a V0.390 it has A LOT of content available, with many routes (not finished and with low cohesion), it feels more like a v0.5+ game. The amount of decisions you can take are phenomenal, and with a pace fast enough that it will not bore those looking for a fast fap.

Only bad aspects is lack of pimping or sharing content, more long-lasting choices and more kinks or transformation options.

Hopefully this game will continue to get heavier and not lighter, as with many corruption games.

All in all, 10/10 gem of incest, corruption and power fantasy with good potential.

You can play this over and over again without getting bored and surprise surprise, seeing the same sex scenes again. Because it uses a skill/magic system which changes the way you treat girls. Amazing just amazing. Gems like these should NOT be abandoned and be taken to completion.

A power fantasy game such as this benefits greatly from a sandbox format, providing the increased freedom that power would logically bring to allow the player to stretch their power.
Instead, this game presents a power fantasy in the form of a choose-your-own text adventure, with a singular mediocre storyline the game railroads you through regardless how much you'd quite prefer to stop a while and smell the roses.

The worst part is that there is no reason this could not have been a sandbox, but with a storyline the player progresses at their own pace. Instead, the car starts and never stops. There is some exploration and freedom available, but not much to speak of.

That is, until you hit an arbitrary date limit, the game hard locks, and you are unable to continue any further because of the game's misplaced priority on the main plot. No more exploration, no more talking to characters. You get unceremoniously smashed against a brick wall and told to come back later.

It's a waste of potential for what would otherwise be a fun game.

Top-tiered Html game out there. There is a HUGE amount of choices and the impact is well considered later in the game. It's replayability is on an insane level! Very, very good game! You gotta be into MC though (duh!)

Staggering amount of text. Non coherent character pictures. Bland and therefor hard to remember names. Weird description of dialog choices. You have no idea what "green light" means. So you have to try it, see what happens and then rewind the choice. Rinse and repeat. No color highlighted dialog for different characters or even the main character. Did i mention the staggering amount of text?

I have been a patron of G28 for a very long time now, and that should tell you something! he is very communicative to his followers, always seeks input in the form of votes as to how the story will progress, and actually takes the time to converse with you, which is rare these days..

the game itself is simply amazing, one of the very best. there are so many choices and routes to take, it honestly will keep you coming back looking for diffrent ways to do things, and to seek parts of the story you missed.

All in all, a very polished project, i am a huge fan, and i look forward to G28's next project with extreme excitement!

How ever! I hate games that don't let you do what ever you want as a player.

Limiting your choices in one way or another!
Lets say that if i can interact with 3 people and i have to choose one and only one! I will miss out on the other 2 and never have what i missed even if later i get options to set me on this path. Rather then a story where you do this or that but never have both i would rather say this game needs a RPG element!

Give me a quest! Let me talk with and corrupt the characters on my own. Let me set them the path i want!

Have repeatable events just so i can see what if i picked the Green/Pink/Brown or what ever other light is available.

Absolutely massive game, filled with choices. Many of the choices have an impact on how scenes play out later in the game, and even after several replays I am certain there are still tons of scenes i have never seen.
Good writing and story, definitely one of the very top html games out there.

Probably the best HTML game on the site, in my opinion. Many branches, most to all are incredibly fleshed out. Updates are consistent, and consistently full of content, game have excellent replay value. Not sure how I could give anything other than 5 stars!

This game is a masterpiece of content. I have played though it every release for about a year and I still find something new each playthough.

Probably one of the better HTML games out there, but it's still pretty flawed. The most important thing for a (mostly) text only game is the writing and it doesn't disappoint in that regard. There's a ton of content and it's well written. Image/GIF selection seems good but I personally never get much out of that part of these games, especially if you overuse the same 10-20 famous porn stars in every game.

There are a lot of choices, but they mostly don't do much for me because such a high percentage of the content is mind control related that there's usually just the one non-MC option you get to pick. Now, I already hear you saying "what do you mean, this is a mind control game, don't like it, don't play it!" There are different flavors of mind control and I'm fine with stuff that's more along the line of influencing or enhancing, but a lot of the content in this game is just straight up personality transplant type stuff or scenes that the girl won't remember after you're done. This stuff does nothing for me. It's kind of akin to sleep rape or dream sequences in normie incest games, I don't get the appeal. There's also a bunch of content where you turn men into bimbos, which is another thing I just can't get on board with.

The other problem this game has is that there are just too many girls. At some point you lose track of who is who except for the main girls and it just turns into a procession of "do that thing again, but with some new chick" and it distracts from the relationships with the main girls. Structure also kind of takes a nosedive once you fully arrive in the dorms and you have to like scroll down to see all the options of things to do and you don't really know how to proceed.

A lot of scenes have extra variants if you do them in a certain order so you kind of need a walkthrough for this game if you want to get something specific out of it. Many scenes also make less sense if you play them in the "wrong" order or they don't actually acknowledge things they should (like taking a girl's virginity), but I guess that's just a general sandbox problem.

Overall, there's some decent maledom/mind control/incest content here, it just feels kind of bloated and complicated to play and I wish the author had made something more focused and linear.

Truely impressive number of different ways to play this game. I LOVE how may different girls there are, ways to seduce them and ultimately different ways to enjoy the game.

I have put more time into this game than any either VN. Writing is good, story is good and I'm continuously trying to tinker with which activities I do when to see if I can get 'better' outcomes.

I ....uh....ugh......

I found this game two days ago and it basically ruined my life. I wish I could give it six stars.

The writing is simple, but efficient, well put together despite its complexity. The pictures are nothing special, but used to great effect to enhance the sexy. The plot is engaging and probably solid enough even without porn. The characters are (there are so many of them!) decently distinguished and well written.

It's got a LOT of fetishes, including my all time favorite impregnation, but also I'd like to shine a special spotlight on the vast diversity with which you can interact. I can enslave or romance any girl, or anything in between. Frankly I have a run where I romance all my girls, but also collar them.

The downside is the game is a mess. It's good and bad, and truly is fun to play and waste time digging through it, but its a real commitment.

In short, play it. Support the Creator. And for god's sake spread the word.

College Daze [v0.300c] review

Genre:
HTML real-porn Multiple-choice pick-your-path branching story VN.

Positives:
+ Many paths.
+ A lot of content, both text and visuals.

Negatives:
- Lacking "gameplay". Choices are mostly just guesswork. You'll have to play this game multiple times to figure out what the different choices do because it's rarely explained in-game.
Is it worth it to save your energy for later in the day, instead of just using it immediately on what's available? Well, yes and no. Sometimes there's options later on in the day, other times MC just goes to bed with unspent energy. You just never know what the day is going to throw at you unless you've played that same day before.
- Hidden/obsucre variables. Some choices lead to +1 dominance or something of that nature, but what this stat actually does is often not explained. And again, there's often no logical connection between the choice and the outcome.
- It's a "story" game built around replaying the game. This just never made any sense to me. There are good games which are made to be played multiple times, but these aren't story focused, and for good reason. I could go on about what makes a good "replay"-game but I'm not going to bother here.
When the scenes and texts are the same across multiple playthroughs it just becomes boring repetition. You don't immediately sit down and re-read a book you just read. Nobody does that.
- Unsatisfying ending. When you reach the end of current content the story just stops, leaving a lot of things unresolved. For a game that's been in development for as long as this one has, I would have expected the "main" story path to have reached a satisfying conclusion. But no. That seems a long way off, if it's ever going to happen. It seems the dev is just adding on more stuff at the end in a never-ending-story sort of way.

All in all though, this game ain't bad. It's got a fairly unique story and there's a lot of content in here to enjoy, especially if your kink is real porn games.

This a great HTML and 3 stars feel harsh but in the end for all the content and all the writing i'm starting to find it really unrewarding and kind of boring.

I think my main problem is that it has tons of characters and loads of different abilities but they all end up in mostly vanilla H scenes, some get a little rough and there is incest but so much of it is just generic porn hub stuff.

There are so many characters and so many unexplored kinks that i think this game really misses a trick.

For my tastes there is too much writing i'm kind of lost on the plot and have started skip in large chunks of it, but as i said above this mainly gets me to another vanillaish sex scene.

I feel like this game should draw to a close and the dev should work on something new. I'm not saying that in a bad way (the dev is great) the game is just becoming very tired and its in danger of going down the glassix route. As the content in crease the quality decreases.

TL;DR: What a wild ride! College Daze has so much content that I do not know if I can fairly review it because there is so many fucking options on what you are able to do. Play it without mods on your first round and play until the end of day 16. There are so many small choices that have larger impacts down the line that it would be quite the challenge to get the same ending twice, even if you tried. It’s so good!

The Good: The game caters to many niches, and if you feel like you don’t like what the game is offering you are almost always clearly telegraphed when to select another option. The incest is a huge plus! You decide yourself how good or bad of a person you are going to be.

The Average: It’s a text game with pornographic pictures and videos to clue you in of who you are talking to or what the sex scenes looks like. This is great for the most part, but sometimes you read one description, but the video or pictures do not agree with it.

The Bad: The game is not very clear with when stat requirements would matter until the last third of the current game, when I suppose the dev figured out how to add it in. If you are careless you can run into the midpoint and have a fair few undesirable outcomes because you were a couple of EXP away for the right willpower or intelligence stat.

Story: Great!

College Daze is the story of a college freshman who, upon arrival at college with his mother(’s friend without cheat code) and co., discovers that there are shining lights floating around the campus that he can, somehow, draw into himself on onto others to create magical effects. Most of the time the effects are sexual but can also suddenly be fatal if you don’t read the description. The MC discovers that he has been gifted these powers by a Succubus locked away in a shadowed dimension seeking freedom. What the MC does with these new powers is completely up to him.

Characters: Great!

There are so many characters! In a single play through you must select away so many people because there is no way to do a min-max or optimised play through. All characters are nicely fleshed out so that you feel like there is a point in exploring them. There are MILFs among the school faculty, babes all around and your classmates are a bunch of bros (and hoes). There is no way for me to describe each one of them, because the characters you will interact with in your playthrough will very likely not be the same ones I interacted with.

Gameplay: Competent.

It’s a text-based game with multiple choice for important decisions. The game branches out in many ways depending on what order you play it in, and you may find that you run out of time for certain things, since time will almost always progress to the next timeslot when you decide. There are rare exceptions where you can get many things done in the same timeslot, but without you will rarely be told what moves time forward and what doesn’t. Even with mods this is not clearly communicated since time ticks forward a few “continue” clicks in.

Visuals: Amazing!*

*The pictures and vids that have been put into this game are really good! Otherwise, College Daze has a boring UI with standard text. It is easily read, however. Normally I don’t like real-porn games because I find them lazy and a bit exploitative.

Summary: Great!

College Daze is a banger game. I’ve played it several times during development but this time I decided to do a cheat-free playthrough using what knowledge I remembered and liberally used feature of stepping backwards to undo bad outcomes. In my last playthrough I toggled incest mode with no other cheats and made it my goal to romance and impregnate all my immediate family: mom, sister, aunt, and first cousin. Even when I tried to limit myself to these four, I still ended up with the additional: roommates’ mother, childhood friend, childhood friend’s mother, English teacher, sister’s roommate, cousin’s roommate, the mother of a nunnery, and the most recent conquest: the daughter of my mother’s friend during the daughter’s wedding. Finally, and not least: a succubus queen and her servant that she gave to me.

And that was me trying to restrain myself! 10/10, but also terrible. This took hours of reloading previous saves to figure out what I had to do, when and where to achieve my goals.



Wishlist:

> I wish the incest dialogue was a little more consequential. At most it is “oh, but we’re related… oh, well”. Once you’ve used some pink lights on a relative their resistance almost completely dissolved. The only hard counters are the stat requirements for making them your lovers and convincing them to have a child with you, but actually having sex with them is just about finding a pink, purple or brown light.

> I would like more pillowtalk in the game. Sex scenes usually end and then you skip forward in time to when everyone is dressed and moving on. The game specifies that characters under the influence of lights (unless purple or brown is used) will remember what they did whilst under the effect, but since you leave before it has a chance to wear off properly it leaves a gap in narrative of how characters rationalise what they did after the fact. You can have sex with your mother as early as day 1 (non-penetrative) using pink lights, but she doesn’t ever bring it up even though this would have been a massive taboo breach that she was aware happened.

> More femdom. There is a heavy focus on male lead or male domination. I want the women to take charge more. Some of them are better for this, but most don’t have anything resembling agency but instead let the sex happen to them.

I find this game very hard to rate. On the one hand, it comes with a clear vision and a decent story. The matching pictures / videos add a lot to the experience and the UI is both minimalistic and functional. The dev clearly put a lot of effort into this, which should be acknowledged.

But there's one BIG problem with the game: The choices are mostly guess work. You get these awesome powers and then you basically pick whatever you feel like. Due to the spell colors you have a general idea on the outcomes, but you never feel in control of what you do. You're more like a passenger.

How I would fix this problem: The game needs some kind of quest system to keep track of the storylines and characters. I'd also add some kind of hub passage where you can see all possible interactions for the day. Maybe add a NPC overview screen as well.

I kinda feel bad for giving this only 3 stars, because College Daze is one of the best HTML games out there. The issues I've mentioned kinda ruin the experience for me, though. I'll gladly change my rating if they get addressed in some way.
