VN Ren'Py College Kings [Act 2 v6.2.5] [Undergrad Steve]

Been a while since I have played this. Can anyone help me make sense of CK1, CK2, Acts, Episodes, Before Rework, etc? I'm confused on where to start (restart). Skimmed through the changelog and that only seemed to add to the confusion. Is this simply a two part game i.e. CK1 and CK2?

Eh, old numbering got thrown out the window. They made CK1 a first season or entire game depending on their mood. CK2 then is the next season (or sequel). Broken into Acts and Episodes. Before rework they had a different writer that sorta ran the story into the ground. The main guy Steve, took the reins back and reworked a couple updates and tried to fix things since the story didn't make sense and characters had multiple personality disorder. Now, the story isn't as divergent but it's still.....well...what it is

Even tough I didn't install any mode and did the 'save fix' in the main page I can't carry my save.
Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

So... Completed episode 4 saves will crash regardless of stats and paths. We have to start over from episode 4 or earlier saves than episode 4 (probably, haven't tested), No episode 5 starting point on path builder, Episode 5 scenes not added to scene gallery.

Without a shred of doubt and suspicion, we can call this update "Incomplete". Not to mention all the bugs, glitches and errors we have to navigate to complete episode 5. We can only try downloading again after a few weeks and then play CK.

It feels like it's too much to ask from the developer to publish the game after fixing most problems if not all the problems.

It gets worse I'm afraid.
After examining the files more thoroughly, we appear to be missing renders for entire scenes...
I redownloaded from another source just to check whether it was me, but it's not.

From my findings and checking the images.rpy for the update ("ep5") the following are missing:
animations missing (anim folder missing):
ep4/scene 93d/animations
ep4/scene 122d/animations

whole scenes missing (renders):
ep4/scene 92
ep4/scene 124b

It appears they either didn't make them in time for 5.0.0, or QC missed it
Hopefully they fixed this in 5.1.0.

Does this game even get any QC? Every release is more broken than the last. I find it hard to believe testers would miss this many issues. The games borderline unplayable on every release, especially if you don't want to start over since saves never work.

I've sort of fixed the gallery, which was stored in variables.rpy. Few bugs in those scenes too for the main game aswell, concerning missing variables and replay end calls, have been fixed.

Every time I visit this thread, it's always full of people just saying how buggy it is, the crashes they get, how to do this/that, what version to download, what is Act 1 and Act 2?... it's insane.

Well read around and see what other people are facing. One big mess. Just face it before start pissing off please! This game has become a mess. But be my guest and play on...... But NEVER EVER react this way on me please! As you look from the beginning is has become shit! and at last to you. Enjoy the gifs............ Wonderful indeed.

Just paste into your college-kings-2 folder (copy game folder to your game folder) and overwrite if asked. I unren my game so I have access to the files.

I'm not trying to Hate on the game or anything, I haven't even downloaded it yet, that's why I am asking a out the Tag so I can make an informed choice if I'll like the game or not, I only want to know if there is a voyeurism scene is it two random strangers we'll never see again or will it be lesbians or will it be a "Future love interest" with some other guy and we get to claim her later? I don't want to argue about what's is NTR or sharing or some other controversies, I just want the facts of what's happening and how that scene plays out if that is an actual tag in the game or is that a incorrect tag?

i think at the first day of school you can peek and see one of the girl ducking with a some guy, later you can beat that guy, but totally another reason. maybe there are more peeks, i dont remember, as i know, there is not ntr or something. you can say your ex to another guy like her and you can say to your friend, dont mind if he take date your ex, but nothing happening on that date, you can duck your ex while she date with your friend

Episodes 4 and 5 were put together, and the second half of episode 4 you're talking about is episode 5

Initially it didn't work because there was a conflict with being with Autumn and Lauren and I think Penelope that causes issues. Then it got patched to work again but I read somewhere that sone newer variable makes it not work again. Last I did it, it worked but it's extremely complicated and you have to be playing a very specific way with specific girls you're pursuing and Loyal, Popular, Confident bars. Pretty much, you need a Mod

which version was your last time? was it without mod? probably at this time i cant do it?
i have Penelope, only Autumn and Lauren at same time what i dont know how. always only the one of the sister want help me out with the list.

Appreciate the work you did. Any clue if there's a way to salvage saves? Every one I have in episode 2 gets the kiwi or some other kind of error. Not sure if that's something only really the dev team can try or if it's possible to get working if I fiddle around with the code in unren?
