As a hobby project I love making environmental stuff myself as ive an old copy of 3ds 2015 Design (has a bunch of cad/AEC objects built in). Right now I'm working on a roller coaster since I was frustrated seeing only stuff in the daz store like little tyke rides.
Cool to know! Now I know who to contact if I need some environments.

Now that we can see her whole body now, I did some Kim's screenshots to help me identify her. Sharing them here in case any one wants to join the hunt.

Her hair is obviously the same as Nora but painted pink or fuchsia or whatever they call that hue ( ), and she has a lot of moles, which I didn't notice before (some would be impossible, but I never notice that mole closer to the right eye). Almost certainly a G8F since no G3F is known to have been used in this game. She (her morphs) looks like a Mousso's to me, but the brows not... Didn't have any luck yet... Browsed Mousso's, P2Design's, and Fred Winkler's catalogues to no avail (of course, it could've escaped my eyes). She has natural brows (that is, not fibermesh) which excludes the likes of Emrys and most of Jessaii (the latter's characters also are not full of moles like this one).

I'm also curious to know about Mirken's daughter (forgot her name). She uses Jill's hair ( ). Other than that, I have no idea... My hunch is she's some Renderosity character...

Any thoughts on the new update?

Hey! now we're talking about something im fairly experienced with!

I dont like the get rid of walls thing, as eliminating all those reflections often gives a very different appearance.

I'd strongly recommend changing everything to watts, as not only does it change the units scale, it literally changes how emitters scale as a function of surface area. Cd/m2 is luminous power per unit sold angle per surface area (which makes zero fucking sense to me why the denominator has two "spacial dimensions") - whereas watts is luminous power times luminous efficacy.

Or in other words, the same size ceiling light not only will look different in cd/m2 vs watts, but a light a quarter of that size will scale differently between the two schemes. There's a reason why most of the best looking modern PW environments all switch to Watts default.

As a hobby project I love making environmental stuff myself as ive an old copy of 3ds 2015 Design (has a bunch of cad/AEC objects built in). Right now I'm working on a roller coaster since I was frustrated seeing only stuff in the daz store like little tyke rides.

I'm confused on your question where you say "i build on the olymp on the project". Are you talking about something you're trying to make and want advice on?

wow jo that is the hammer!

Very impressive, for HDRIs I would get some kind of skymap, shouldnt need to worry about ground because the trees are tall enough. As far as scene optimization is concerned, I would try and re-use as MANY textures as possible - so like if many of the buildings have a "stucco" or "white marble" wall texture, use that same texture on most buildings, this will save a lot of memory!

Also, I would group the buildings into "Zones" if you havent already, then "sub-parts" of those zones so you can easily hide large parts of the scene to reduce memory usage. Ideally, if you're just making a render of the Parthenon, you can turn off all the other buildings behind you and it will run quickly.
