RPGM - Abandoned - College Life [v0.3.9a] [MikeMasters]

I can’t seem to say enough good things about “College Life” by MikeMasters!

This game is so well done that I even advertise it in my own game to try and bring more people’s attention to it.
As for the game itself, this is NOT your normal style RPGMaker game… it seems to be more like a Ren’Py/RPGMaker mashup that really immerses you into the story as you play the MC looking to make his way through ‘College Life’ on his own and uncover the plans that his father seems to be orchestrating behind the scenes… why did he want you out of the house as much as he did and can you juggle your new life on a college campus and discover your dad’s plans while you also try to find your place in the world?

The characters within this game is ONE OF THE BEST FEATURES, each one of them are not your ‘run of the mill’ cliché trope of characters that others place in their games. These characters have real, believable lives, struggles and secrets of their own and the friendship/relationships that you build with these characters are PERSONAL ones that hit you in the FEELS sometimes!

Whether it is the quiet and shy, Kara who seems to wish to fade into the background but longs for a life different from the shell and wall that she has built around herself; to the outgoing, fitness-loving, tomboy that is your roommate and who puts on a ‘brave face’ after having been deeply hurt from a previous relationship.

To compliment and help solidify the deep, personal bonds that you form with these characters, is the amazing artwork and renders that help to pull you deeply into the story and have you fall in love with the characters.

The game itself has a TON of content that the creator (MikeMasters) installs into this title with every on-time update he provides. Even if you use the skillful and well done ‘Walkthrough’ done by F95’s own QLeaf, you are looking at nearly or over 10 hours of gameplay and fun.

This is a title that is worth your time and support and this is what games SHOULD BE from those that post their titles to Patreon.

I don't particulary like to review unfinished game but since dev asked for it and since it's pretty far into development process I will do it.
Really solid example of RPGM game. Renders are mostly above average and dev has clearly improved a lot since the beginning. There is always place for further improvements but it's solid to say at least. Gameplay is pretty typical for RPGM games tho it has a few unique features that make it interesting like skills or phone. Plot isn't something special but in adult games it isn't really bad. Main female cast is above average when it comes to look (especially Kara and sister) and much above average when it comes to their characters. Game is developed in a really solid, steady way so it's a pretty safe choice for anyone into it to support this dev. Unfortunately, in my opinion game has some serious issues with engine restrictions and how story is developed that make it pretty hard to get into when you're a new player. It's trying to present a vast area with multiple romance targets but in reality it makes it annoying to navigate thru as all questlines feel linear and you have to navigate thru whole map to trigger an event just to go back to your room to go sleep. Yes, there is a fast travel but it still feels way too linear for such a huge area. Another issue is in a skill system which is unique but useless as it's random and save system always let you get what you want. These flaws give me a feeling of fake complexity and might be hard to deal with for a new player. I personally don't find a place for an incest in such a realistic setting but that's just my perspective. All in all really solid game with a great, communicative developer that's worth supporting or at least trying. In my eyes it's really above average even tho I find its fake complexity annoying and I'm sure developer will keep improving. Thumbs up for this one

I played this Game 10 times or more, i love it, and i cant wait if Mike bring new content to this game, one of my favorite games here, i think is the most intensive game i played in this section, and all of you, play this game, this man was my first patreon support, and i will support him a few more years ^^ i hope he bring more and more content to this.

Story: Fairly good, nothing we haven't seen before.

Graphics: Really nice 1920x1080 HD renders, beautiful models and more importantly, they're actually realistically proportioned which is a welcome change from similar games.

Gameplay: Surprisingly good for a RPGM game, has fast travel options instead of ridiculous maze like level designs that only serve as timesinks, no uninspired forced level grinding or gear treadmilling. All in all it has a nice progression pace, that never seems too slow or too easy.

I'll give it 4 stars for the graphics alone, and the gameplay easily makes up for the rest.

obv Spoilers:

a bit grindy, i would recommend to only Play with walkthrough/guide.
the redhead with "big brother lisa's face" has no sex Scene yet (only kiss and she takes off her pants). but there are h Scenes (1 full sex Scene) with your roommate (short haired Girl) and some massage Scenes with the Dr. and 1 BJ with the School director. and you walk in and see the Tattoo Girl having sex with some rdm guy.

even though i think Gates: the opening is better in almost every aspect, i still like this game. i really like kara (redhead BB lisa face) and the Tattoo Girl. and the shorthaired roommate isnt that bad either. i love the whole School environment, wish more games would use it... it's just such a no brainer for a porn game, and imo always works.

there is no incest in the game yet.

Excellent game with original gameplay. Congrats to the author MikeMasters. I think that the story is good, and the different choices makes the game very interesting. I really thanks for the free version
