Thing is, an ntr fan probably understands best how visceral the revulsion to it can be. They just fetishize it.

have stopped watching/reading many a series/novel because during their run they have the female love cheat, take a detour with others before the happy ending, just move on or the like. Sometimes it's for a good reason like it's only done to prolong the series, extend the development, or because it just betrays the authors' premises, like when a relationship is supposed to be
meant to be, they're each others'
the one etc. (True Blood is a pretty good example_ though I did keep watching). In which case I guess I'd allow myself to complain.
Other times it's my own bias, sexism? or just because of identification with the male (I heared a woman complain about either that Tony Soprano says to his wife
you're my life while he was professing love to his therapist or about the Madmen guy calling his wife a
whore for deciding to leave him for another guy after he cheated on her with everything in heels)? Anyway, in
that case I know it's just a legitimate plot that I happen to be unable to handle.
Point is, all the disclaiming and clarity required of devs in-game for ntr typically corrupts the plot, not to mention breaks the immersion. It is unparalleled how much they try to warn you in-game (
and they still get flack). See, the fact that the fetish is the revulsion includes any potential details of the situation in the plot, which can sometimes mean it comes as a surprise, or despite every effort against it happening, i.e. forced upon the player. So yes, technically excluding "forced" or
suprise NTR does deprive at least some subset of readers/players of a kind of plot...
Furthermore, the way many anti ntr people would have it, means even legitimate presentation of NTR situation is disallowed, which compromises the integrity of the composition (of a plot) or the mechanism (in a game type, where NTR is like a bad end or non-ntr is like a win). This latter point of reality/immersion/integrity is common gripe of many readers and players of various genres/fetishes when the execution by the dev isn't perfectly built/believable, and goes unnoticed or is otherwise discussed seriously. But dare someone say,
hey, why is the mean/slutty/angry LI suddenly asking permission from wuss/oblivious/asshole MC to cheat on him...
