I think I'll start with Gyaruzuma Sex
Personally even if you start with gyaruzuma first, my advice would be play the marina series as soon as you can, since it's the reason why the company became famous and people tend to compare every game they made afterwards to marina ...

btw if you did check my profile anything to say about the list? If it wasn't for that character limit i may even have provided the links right there ... btw a really easy way to identify the game with the heroine name in this site is using the search bar and type "atelier sakura *heroine name*"

So it helped me a lot to filter the best ones. I also left some that you gave a score higher than 7 separate, because I think that below that I don't know if it's worth it, as I'm not used to playing Japanese games I wanted to play only the best ones, the only thing about the list is that as it can't have many characters there's no way to at least put a summary of your opinion, which would be perfect.

Will say though, that if you're just into NTRS, I'd skip the 3rd Marina game. Leans way too far into NTR territory and ruins the dynamic the couple had even on the "good" endings.

The first 2 games are must plays though and the 2nd game has a good wrap up, so you won't feel like you're missed out if you skip the 3rd.

If you follow the entire conversation he never mentioned any of that "pure nts" nitpicking, just best games/wives from AS and as you should know "in general" AS is more of a NTR game producer rather than NTS one.
Most of their NTS they do turn into NTR anyway (the pure NTS games you can count them on 1 hand or maybe 2 hands) so if he really intends to explore the majority of their catalogue then there's no reason to skip out Marina 3 (unless he's a nts purist)

True. But since this is the NTRS thread, I thought I'd just give the heads up to them or other people who have interest in the series.

Ok but that heads up then counts for like 90% of total games here.
I mean forget AS for a moment, NTS that has, at least, the risk of turning NTR is the norm here.
Pure NTS entirely are the odd ones out.
And personally, it should be this way, you're letting your wife/gf sleep with someone else and you don't run the risk of losing her? that's ridicolous imo.
All NTS should have at min a split ending:
- a good ending where you keep your LI
- a bad ending where you lose her

I think you'd be much more in your element in an NTR thread.

In my opinion, many of the Atelier Sakura games had horrible writing or were boring. I didn't like the Marina games because I didn't think she was hot.

I guess so maybe ...
In the NTR thread people don't give a damn about nitpicking, making a distinction, or putting a line, if stuff is hot then is great and is fair.
In here on the other hand you got every single pretentious demands in the world.
Marina 3 is a great game but is not recommended cause is too NTR?
People who say that are outta their mind to me ...

I think he's right about the "realism" aspect, for me swinging is fundamentally risky and only for really sturdy couples. But what I disagree with him is the need for a game to always have that kind of realism, since most ntr games aren't realistic anyway. Like in a harem game, nts games can be idealistic on purpose, as those are just games.
As much as I like uncertainty in stories (not a "purist"), I see nothing wrong with pure nts games to exist. They serve their purpose, as any other type of games. Everyone has their favorite kind, sometimes super specific.
On that note I've seen someone write "NTI" on this forum today, what the fuck is that ahah ?

Agreed in both respects, real life has much more unknowns, though games needn't capture that.

My issue with criticisms of people people overly picky in this realm is there's a subtext here. If I'm talking to like-minded people, there's a wide range of behaviors and events with characters I'd enjoy, I wouldn't call myself a purist. But too often in threads for these games, I see it again and again, posters will masquerade under the guise of flexibility and reasonableness, but then over time you start realizing they have more cheating/ntr preferences to begin with.

You'll see this kind of conversation play out many times in in nts game threads - someone will ridicule others making them sound nitpicky like "bro the couple shouldnt have to check in with each other everytime they fuck other people" - but then a couple pages back or forward you'll see the same poster suggesting "maybe the LI should sneak off behind her husbands back a few times".

I'm not saying Kudoko here is at all doing that - just trying to explain why I suspect a large number of other people in threads like this are rightfully suspicious and can come off as 'purist' when it comes to the genre. For sure, some are totally inflexible and want events 'only this specific way!' , but I'd bet the majority are more evenhanded, they just dislike the ntr fandom creep as I do.

NTS is a sub genre of NTR in the first place

image_2025-04-11_10-00.png

So it's basically like texas hating america while being a part of it ...
The need to keep them separate and being at "war" with them is unjustified

And hell only the LI remaining loyal to you being the the line in the sand is as unclear as it gets for most of these games since one can argue that even the wife "enjoying" it is an act of cheating ...

they just dislike the ntr fandom creep as I do.
yeah this line is exactly the case in point like i said, meaningless hate ...

As proof of how meaningless it is, i give an example
This game
My Girlfriend Affair
So it's this game a NTR or a NTS game?
cause there are fair points on both arguments ...

Edit.
oh there's also this one too
Hoka no Onna
plenty hard to make a line when you reverse the genders?

I don't know what is it that you struggle with here. We have some pretty clear expectations what people want when they play a game in either genre.

In a "netorare" game you have no control. The point is to feel helplessness as someone close to you is being taken away. The sex part is more of a way to put the knife in, the genre is all about heartbreak.
In a "netorase" game you have control and engage in partner sharing. More focus on the sex, less heartbreak.

Some don't care when the lines get blurry, some care very much. I don't give a shit "what is a subgenre of what". I need to be a in a very specific mood to enjoy netorare and would rather not see that shit bleed into the other times when I would just like some casual fun.

I will agree that sometimes the nitpicking gets ridiculous, but in broad terms the distinctions exist for a reason.

You're not separating nts games and ntr games like it's a black or white matter.
That is all up to people's individual perspectives on the matter.
There's a gray area on which almost all these falls on

The two examples i gave falls right in the middle of uncertaintly

Uploaders here don't know what tag to give since they themselves are often unsure most of the time

Boku Daka got slapped with the netorare tag but no swinging tag
why? maybe it's the path where you get jumpscared that your wife is pregnant with the bull's child that made people think that's too ntr?

Or Marina itself since this all started while talking on this series people can argue that "too ntr" goes way before marina 3. in marina 2 she admits that if they didn't have a daughter she would be leaving his ass or even marina 1 there are plenty of lies and broken promises there, like the use of condoms etc.

No, hard disagree. OFC im a bit different because as evidenced by my sig, I dont like the whole eastern world so I dont get into the weeds over these foreign terms.

But in the western world, cheating has nothing to do with swinging/sharing. They're only grouped together in games because insecure harembois hate both.
