Thanks for the reply, yes I gave the pin because I like this style of game, I just thought there was a lack of communication between the couple, but I also haven't played much, I only unlocked one story from another couple. The comments talking about NTR, from what I saw on the game's page, are about Cynthia not really communicating much to the MC about some times she slept with other guys in two routes, from what I saw: the athlete route and the gyaru couple route, where she acts quite strangely, but I haven't gotten to that part yet to give my opinion.

edit:I asked these questions because I'm actually quite picky about games that involve NTR/sharing. I really like it when the couple communicates a lot and it doesn't lean towards NTR at all, unlike the games in my sig, so sorry for anything.

I lurk in that thread constantly, and you're probably reading the last couple of posts that have been harping about it, but if you notice, there's ONE GUY who says it's 'NTR"... it's not. At all. It's 100% NTS. He's literally dead wrong. I think he played one scene like 2 years ago and mis-remembered it. Everyone else has tried to correct him multiple times.

It doesn't lean towards NTR at all. Not sure how much you've played, but each Client has (or will have, not every client is fully done yet) a few scenes, generally with their preferred server. But as Back said above, it's 100% predicated on you taking the Triangle Pins. Plus, each and every scene Client scene is manually triggered by you. The end of day scenes are random, but the one scene that gets referenced (again, it's ONE scene) is a manual one.

Each of the different maids requires different amounts of... hmmm... effort? On your part in order to start NTS stuff. Like one is a Yandere towards you, and she requires a TON of effort to get her to accept the pin. Cynthia, the 'primary' FMC, is indeed the one who mentions it, and she has a weird dichotomy of being utterly faithful to Sergil (the MC), and yet absolutely loves filthy, debauched sex. AKA, she'd like getting 'mind-broken', but would then come back quite happily to Sergil. She even shuts down Clients who take it beyond 'dirty talk'. Dirty talk is great! Them claiming that they own her and she's their bitch now? Gets shut down.

Don't believe anyone who says there's NTR. It's pure NTS, and the dev (Alex) has gone out of his way to say there'll never be any NTR endings or anything like that.

I periodically pick up that game again to see all the content. I'm about a patch behind (besides the patreon-walled one as well), but I literally JUST went through all those scenes less than 3 months ago.

Thanks for the reply, I'll play more when I have more time. As I said before, I only saw a small part of the story, so I just wanted to know how it unfolds. I like sharing, but as long as it doesn't turn into NTR and the MC isn't a passive cuckold who only likes to watch his women having sex without taking any action. I like confident and dominant MCs. Since you've played almost all of it, do you think the MC in this game fits that description?

Secret Care Cafe is NTS (last time I played was around 6 months ago, maybe a little before that), I'd even say vanilla-NTS since Sergil is quite respected and never humiliated, as considering your description I assume you're not into that either.
That being said, SSC is more a game about fun-sex and debauchery, I'd even add a harem game, rather than a game about "a couple who communicates a lot". There isn't 86 stages in which the girls slowly become more open while worrying about what Sergil could think. Once you say it's ok, it's ok, they mostly enjoy, unless my memory is wrong. So it's not 100% what you seem to prefer either.

That being said, SSC is more a game about fun-sex and debauchery, I'd even add a harem game, rather than a game about "a couple who communicates a lot". There isn't 86 stages in which the girls slowly become more open while worrying about what Sergil could think. Once you say it's ok, it's ok, they mostly enjoy, unless my memory is wrong. So it's not 100% what you seem to prefer either.

I'll give it a chance, I've seen many comments saying it's worthwhile, and you said Sergil is quite respected and never humiliated, which is fundamental to me in these games, along with the MC having sex with other women too, so I think the game fits what I like.

Yup, give it a shot. However, the back and forth you just had is pretty accurate. He's not 'dominant' in that he's the one finding guys or playing a role in their NTS. He's ok with it for sure, and even facilitates things. Cynthia is all for it as mentioned, but the other girls require a bit of reassurance that it's something he's 100% with, which he gives. Some are notably hesitant to go further and he'll help convince them. There's actually a SECOND trigger for each girl - Triangle pin is the first, but the second allows you to lock it down as well. But that's represented in game by gentle encouragment or whatever. Like Rai, for example, has this one playboy who's pursuing her (out of super shallow reasons, almost to the point of stalking), and she justifiably hates him. Sergil gives her an alternate take and says, hey, it's free food, sure go out to eat at a stupid expensive restaurant. And if he wants to fuck you... well you like sex right? Just treat him like a dog. Which she ends up doing.

But yeah, for all that he's involved in them getting started, I can't call him dominant. I'm very much on your side of the NTS spectrum that I can't stand humiliation or true 'cuck' behavior (and giving a MC a micropenis is an instant fail for me), but SSC doesn't hit any of those boxes. Sergil, for a VERY few scenes, can be jealous or slightly agonize over the decision, but those are mostly at the start, and it soon becomes just very vanilla/consensual. (The sex is anything but vanilla lol).

*Side note: Since you can see MOST scenes in any order, there is the occasional 'out-of-place' reaction. Assume that all the girls started wearing the pin at the same time and had their scenes at the same time, so if you like wait forever to give Rai the pin, his reaction to her first NTS will be odd compared to how he's letting Cynthia get gangbanged or something. But that's pretty par for the course on scene-collector-games.**

But you can progress them as a harem without a single pin given, and the game works surprisingly well for something that is Harem+NTS. I honestly would never have thought that combo works well, but it really does, and is now something I look for. The fact that even after letting your girls get fucked there's still a wholesome harem dynamic should tell you a lot. The fact that anyone thinks it's NTR is hilarious lol.

According to post #5914 on this thread, most of the endings are pure NTR. It's probably like 90% of all 'NTS' games that are mostly NTR and you have to carefully thread the needle to get NTS....

I spent some more time playing.
There are a total of eight endings: one Pure Love ending, one NTS ending (this actually has two, a fake ending and a true ending), four NTR endings, and one ending where the male protagonist is reverse-raped. I'll just talk about the more important ones:
The Pure Love ending is easy to achieve, so I won't go into details.
The heroine's route, the NTS ending, is probably more in line with the tastes of most people here.
The four Cuckolder's (or Other Man's) endings all lead to true NTR endings (NTS → NTR), where the heroine is completely stolen away.
However, it's worth noting that the game doesn't end after you achieve one ending. It stipulates that within the two-month in-game time limit, you can try to achieve as many endings as possible. This lessens the feeling of depression after an NTR ending. Furthermore, the degree of NTR is very controllable, and the NTR endings require you to actively trigger them. The endings also don't affect the daily sweet events between the male and female protagonists.
The daily events at the end of the game after two months are left ambiguous, with the couple continuing their NTSplay.
For the people here, I suggest trying the heroine's route, but I don't really recommend the Cuckolder routes; you can just view the CGs for those. As an NTS → NTR game, it is quite excellent, and the emotional portrayal is very subtle and detailed.
I am using translation software to reply, so please excuse me if some sentences are awkward or unclear.

I think it could be solved simply by locking some scenes only after certain events, or after having seen prerequisite scenes.

A lot of the scenes are locked after certain events. It's just that having multiple routes capable of operating independently of each other requires not seeing scenes in one route to not to lock the others, unless they're also in that route. To continue the Cynthia gangbang event's line of thought, she has a shared scene with Cookie that requires you to have gotten through Cynthia's gangbang and some of Cookie's events; but it'd be needlessly restrictive if you had to progress Cookie's route to progress the rest of Cynthia's route and vice versa.
