1.0? Final event? Is it going to an end?? Last time I was playing 0.22v... Is it over or you will still working out on this?
SMH at so many people not understanding how version numbers work... for the 982nd time, they aren't decimals, and you can't use them to estimate a project's total progress toward completion. 0.22 doesn't mean "22%", it means "twenty-second major pre-release revision". Depending on the given developer's plans and workflow, there could be one, ten, a hundred, or a thousand updates between that and 1.0. I haven't played enough of this game to know whether the last update ended in a way that it feels reasonable for the one after it to be the finale, but I do know you can't tell that by looking at the version number.that is a BIG jump in version number. somehow i doubt that much work got done...
thing is, dev broke their pattern here. so this jump in version number + (hopefully) misleading wording on the change log doesn't mean what i think it means. but i want confirmation of this, not some "it might not be what you think it means" i already know that ya smuck. as for ingame story progress last i played was v0.22.5b and the game was still quite far from story completion if dev stuck to his original plan. so while yes, version numbers usually mean jack crap, when a dev breaks pattern on a project that was prob too big for an average solo dev to handle, IT IS cause for concern.SMH at so many people not understanding how version numbers work... for the 982nd time, they aren't decimals, and you can't use them to estimate a project's total progress toward completion. 0.22 doesn't mean "22%", it means "twenty-second major pre-release revision". I know that. I'm just surprised. I also didn't played for a long time, so I dunno how it looks like pre 1.0, so I dunno if it's in a perfect place to wrap it up, or it could be easily continued.SMH at so many people not understanding how version numbers work... for the 982nd time, they aren't decimals, and you can't use them to estimate a project's total progress toward completion. 0.22 doesn't mean "22%", it means "twenty-second major pre-release revision". I mean, you can write "for the 982nd time" or something similar, but it is totally reasonable to be confused when there is a big jump in version number out of the blue, THIS jump goes to version 1.00 AND you have a "final event" in the Changelog.SMH at so many people not understanding how version numbers work... for the 982nd time, they aren't decimals, and you can't use them to estimate a project's total progress toward completion. 0.22 doesn't mean "22%", it means "twenty-second major pre-release revision". I can't speak for the dev, and they're usually relatively active here so they might clarify it yet but I think there's a few things contributing to it.I mean, you can write "for the 982nd time" or something similar, but it is totally reasonable to be confused when there is a big jump in version number out of the blue, THIS jump goes to version 1.00 AND you have a "final event" in the Changelog.
The game should not be finished from what was previously in the game (out of the 5 LIs 3 had actual penetration scenes with MC with one of those being in doubt about it), but it is still confusing that there is a jump to 1.00 with a "final event".
Really something like this have happened? And because of those morons We can lost such a promising vn? I was waiting so much for content with teacher, and with mom. I also wanted to see dads "redemption" but would accept any outcome. I'm sorry for this dev, I was his a supporter for some time on SS, but for economical reasons I needed to stop. But I stayed with him in a heart, even tho that doesn't mean much when person doesn't have for a rent...I can't speak for the dev, and they're usually relatively active here so they might clarify it yet but I think there's a few things contributing to it.
There's the bottom line, dev doesn't have a lot of patrons and is making about 10% of the monthly rent where I live off of this project. They've needed to pause and take a break before for a decent while. It's a lot of work for what they're making off of it.
There's been previously planned content that ended up getting cancelled because of community feedback. Dropping the father content probably cut down the amount of the planned story the dev could reasonably tell. Not to mention it's apparently something they were looking forward to making so it probably added to any sense of burn out there. Not to mention the dev has been harassed over that planned content even after cancelling it a few times, so parts of the community have definitely been a pain in the ass.
Still if it's actually finished next update that is kinda disappointing to me ngl, but I can't really blame the dev if they're making an early end to the game. I do hope that we at least get a sex scene with every main girl by the end of it.
Something like that did happen but saying it's why this is ending might be a bit of a stretch. I haven't heard it from the dev, I'm just giving potential reasons I can think of off the top of my head. I also don't know for sure if the Dad doesn't get a redemption (I personally hope not, been hoping plane-kun would turn him into an isekai protagonist since he first left), all I know for sure is the swinging content was cancelled and I assume that cuts off at least a lot of the Dad's story. I don't even know if the hissy fitters are even a factor in why. For all we know the "final event" could just be a finale for the main story with side content still to come, although that's probably copium.Really something like this have happened? At least he don't abandon this game completely and giving this update, even if it's a early closure.
call me the odd ball but i actually prefer the opposite. i'd rather abandonment/indefinite hiatus than a rushed ending. reason being MAYBE that one in one hundred thousand chance happens a dev will come back to their project and finish it properly. (you should never let me gamble, i'd lose all your money, yes your money not mine! LOL )At least he don't abandon this game completely and giving this update, even if it's a early closure.
Not sure but you can find the 1.00.1a on the dev's itch pageWhy title of this thread shows that the game is completed and that we already have version 1.00.1a here, when in OP all links are still to the previous version 0.23.1b ?
Thanks I just went already to itch and now I download this final version from there. Not sure but you can find the 1.00.1a on the dev's itch page
