Hmm, could be an anti-virus on your pc blocking the app or maybe you have multiple hard drives and for whatever reason it doesn't like being opened on whatever drive it is saved on.

you can use it to open the .swf version of the game.Interesting bug (I assume) I discovered for anyone starting fresh, for some reason it seems until you buy your first cosplay upgrade, all battles seem to give 0 xp 0 gold. Bought gems at first and noticed grinding gave nothing, bought a damage Cosplay upgrade and suddenly it reenabled. So I guess potential softlock if you aren't careful with the starter money in case anyone else is confused.

Played a lot of 0.19 a few months back, finished all the content that was there at that point (up to a bit after the Phoebe plotline). However, it no longer shows a save file available for either the 0.26 version or the 0.19 version that I'd played previously. Obviously I don't still have my password saved after all this time, and while I'd like to play the new content I'd really rather not play the entirety of the game again just to get to the new stuff.
Is there somewhere in the file directory I might find my earlier save files, or a password for roughly that point in the game?

I have never seen this one before. Which XP was showing up as zero? Skill XP (the xp for attacking and getting hit) or character XP the number you get after the battle? Skill XP is capped to your Player level for example if you are level 3 and your Normal Attack is level 3 you will gain no skill XP until your character level is 4.

I fixed your password and gave you the quest item you need to continue. The game is supposed to replace the locket with a cracked one but for some reason in your save it didn't give it to you. Did the cutscene where Camo leaves the camp to fight the wolf solo not play for you?
Also did you use the fast travel in places where the quest removed the arrows?

Still not quite as good as the pre-rework version, I think it was 0.11.5 or something. Even after all these years. It's improving though. I just check in every so often to see if there's any Faye storyline progression. The old version just had such top notch quality art and charm.
Everything was showing up as 0, I know skill XP starting at 0 because you're capped is normal as I had played it before a little a good while ago but lost track of the save file (wasn't super far in so don't mind) so realized it was definitely odd for Player Level EXP and Gold to get 0 each per fight.
I've had a lot of fun with the game after fixing it, so I did some test runs on new games to try to help isolate the issue, and think I narrowed it down decently.
For what causes the issue:
1. Grabbing the triangle before talking to Faye. (How I triggered it initially on the first run you responded to)
2. Grabbing the circle before talking to Faye.
3. Grabbing both the triangle and circle before talking to Faye.
Obtaining Square is locked behind talking to Faye so no issue to test there.
As for fixing, it seems a bit finicky but I believe anything that causes a direct stat modification 'resets' things and fixes the issue from then on, making enemies give proper gold and exp. Tests that did fix it for me:
1. Buying a Cosplay upgrade that gives a direct stat boost.
2. Buying a lollipop and eating it during a battle.
3. Buying a gem but NOT equipping it, doing a battle, then equipping the gem and doing another battle.
4. The opposite of above, buying and equipping a gem, doing a battle, then removing the gem and doing another battle.
Notably, buying and immediately equipping a gem and doing multiple consecutive battles will NOT fix the issue, specifically it seems the above solutions of 3 or 4 must be done.
Ultimately an easy bug to workaround for someone who knows, but also might make a rough first impression to some. In particular the first time I experienced it the mailbox had like $700, so could be a problem if someone gets a low roll on money since enemies don't give any either, you'd be stuck behind collecting change on the ground unless you know to buy and eat a lollipop.
