What in the world have you been reading? The story of the game is what you can read if you do look at the dialogues.

This is plain and simple, explained in no uncertain terms in the game, for update after update.

If you are a mechanic/salesman and you have a guy who does the grunt work while you window-dress for success, do you just abandon him, your golden goose, while becoming the dumb idiot that thought he could get anywhere on his own?

Alice and Elsa spend so much time with MC because they need him to keep doing the grunt work and be the patsy for anything and everything going wrong: elsa has a trust fund and spends her nights shitting on guys in bars - Alice is the heir to the boss of the compaby: they have money on tap and the money flow never runs out - they are having a blast while MC is shouldering everything for them.

I'm not doubting its true, but I don't remember Elsa telling the MC she gives blowjobs to get out of trouble. Could you point me to when it happens in the dialogue?

There are ways this story goes forward with unrealistic behavior across the board.

This is the best explanation of my interpretation of the story yet. People got bent out of shape awhile back because I called MC a "loser". He is, this is not some vague thing.

The story is him deciding he wants something bad enough to stop being a loser. And maybe as he becomes less of a loser, he'll start finding other things than simping for Alice to make being a better person worth it.

It is abandoned? Last info was 2,5 month ago on Patreon.
It took a whole year to bring out the latest update, so you can get an idea of how long this is going to take.

why man why... I've been waiting so long, I'm going to run out of my younger wooden years before this game finishes.
We have to make a top of the games that take the longest to come out and another top of games that will never finish.

So I know where to go to get enough motivation to kms? My will to live will propel itself vertically downwards from a bridge after viewing that list... With how it do be, It will probably be easier to list the games which take the shortest to come out and will finish. So I don't finish myself with how long it takes to scroll up and down.

Yall are missing the point I'm trying to bring across. When I say I find it idiotic to call MC a "loser" or "douchebag", it's because the character doesn't align with the morals, principles and thought processes of losers and douchebags. Sure the actions from outside give that impression, but that's about where the similarities end.

MC either got called a incel, a loser, a simp, or a Nice Guy™.
  • A incel is a guy who fails to get attention, relationships or lays from women in general because of physical shortcomings or mental "limitations" (shy, awkward, insecure to the level of self-sabotage).
  • A simp is a guy who bends over backwards to get validation from women, so much so that the relationship dynamic is very disproportionate in terms of gives and gets between the two parties. It's often out of blind/naive affection.
  • A Nice Guy is a dude who does good deeds to women expecting sex or affection in return. It's fundamentally different from a simp but both can be "incels".
  • A loser is someone who's a failure in general. It's vague and it's mostly used as a insult.
Those labels are rooted in "normal" emotional frameworks.

Here's the thing: MC got cheated on by ex-gf and ex-best friend. Ego is born as its own big boy within his mind as a defense mechanism, it's emergent psychopathy. And psychopathy reframes intent. It stop being about love and becomes more or less about power and control as means for self-protection.

From the beginning, MC been at a tug-of-war between himself and his Ego, which is practically its own character. The Ego has its own agenda and has been the driving force behind almost every action in the story. Whenever Edward and Ego are 'talking', you can see them going at it: Edward wants to assume good intent, Ego weaponizes distrust and encourages emotional detachment and Ego stays winning.
  • He sleeps with his neighbor not out of attraction, but because he needs a win. An ego boost.
  • He makes her jealous afterward not as an emotional reaction because he wants her, but because her longing feeds his self-image.
  • He goes after Alice because it aligns with the Ego’s endgame: getting the damn oil baron's daughter.
  • He hangs out with his "friend" not for companionship, but as a means to a bigger payoff.
There’s a consistent pattern: none of his choices are emotionally driven in the conventional sense. He doesn’t care how others feel. He doesn’t assign moral value to actions. He only cares whether a choice is useful to Him.

That's why I fail to see your point about "finding other things than simping for Alice to make being a better person worth it" as an implicit goal from the writer/dev. At no point in the story is the question "does the end justify the means?" ever asked, neither by Elsa nor by the Ego, which are the two main decision-makers in the story.

He doesn't—at any point—have lovey-dovey thoughts about Alice. She's a shiny object he wants really damn bad to show it off, a trophy. He doesn't do Alice's homework (aka simping for her) to please her or get a pat on the back, he’s doing it to secure access. Same reason he smashes his face into a door: it creates an artificial opportunity to interact, which would otherwise be impossible from their current social standings. It also allows him to create an opening to talk to her without giving away his intent which would put him in a vulnerable position and Ego doesn't want him in vulnerable positions.

What I'm trying to say: the loser/incel/simp/nice guy labels do not apply to a character who doesn't operate on the same emotional mechanisms as everybody else. I think it's hella reductive.

Ooookay, why I'm little nervous, when I saw big "The END" at the end of the current version? Why there is no thing like The END of current version. Why there is only The END, which looks like the END of the whole game. I hope I'm wrong ....

It's only at the beginning you worry about the MC's name. After a while, it becomes acceptable and I can tell you - the story in this game and especially the dialogues are jsut something else - that is if you are not looking for the MC to be a walking alpha with big d getting girls out of nowhere

Yeah, the dev is let's say 'unusal'. The synopsis of the game is one of the worst I have ever seen and in 5 years he didn't think about changing it. I think you need to be a bit eccentric to come up with such an usual story for the AVN with excellent dialogues. There are only a few games out there in which you are trying to understand the side characters, their role in the game, background and motives. CC is one of them. I have a feeling that even if someone tries to tell the dev that 'The End' screen at the end of the current version is misleading - he will ignore it. Anyway, the game is still in development so I am hoping this is not a true end of it

The writing in this game is without a doubt, amazing compared to other avns on here. Obviously a big chunk of the it reminds me of my friend who would spend hours with me on call talking like elsa during his second year in masters in clinical psychology. With that being said the dev does try to make the mc somehow semi competant when poking holes in elsa's philosophical curveballs.

Obviously there is a clear bias towards elsa's thought process because i feel like elsa is a self insert of the author in this story but that is expected given the plot has to move forward somehow, hence you have to dumb down one side of this back and forth, in this case it's edward. All in all this was an amazing find and im probably going to do something that ive never done and probably go ahead and support the dev's patreon as i really want him/her to see this through.

i like this game a lot , no doubt, the best writing and story plot i ever came across but at this speed, this game never gonna get completed. there have been many more slow burn good games, faster pace than this but those too get abandoned, so there is a need to little speed up

That seems unlikely to happen. I discovered the game a couple of years ago only, I believe. And I love it. In that time, I've frequently read about the slow development of the project. But also, this time (meaning after the last update), it's the first time that I'm genuinely worried about the future of the game. As far as I know, there hasn't been much work (if any) put on the next update of the game during these last months. And the developer has stated his worrisome views on the project in one of his posts in his Patreon.

I only hope that he finds a way to continue telling us this story. Being completely honest, I even don't mind that much what formula he uses for that. And I'm one of those rare pals that genuinely don't care about lewd scenes in these games. I'm relatively old and porno in this type of games does not make it for me any more.
