Did you put the mod folder into a folder of same name by any chance?

Here is how it usually work:

Most modders start the path with the folder "game" inside that folder is all the path folders towards what their mod do.
So all You have to do, is copy the mods folder "game" and go to the game where you see the games "game" folder, and the exe/start game function.
DO NOT CLICK THE GAMES GAME FOLDER!
You click on an EMPTY space and choose "paste"

That way, the folder "game" you just copied, overlaps the games "game" folder and places everything inside into the correct folders, or create those not yet made.
If it ask to overwrite anything, choose YES.

Never paste a folder inside another folder with the same name, thats a rookie mistake, one that mess up everything.

Some modders doesn't use this simple "game" folder start, they just add the closest path to their mod, like "mods->girl"
Then you have to click the game folder and when you see "mods" paste your copied "mods" folder into an empy space, then it overlaps from there.

I can make screen shots if it's still sound complicated? ;)
yeah I think screenshots would be more helpful thanks

Ok, It's easier if you have 2 windows opened, one for your Mod and one for your Game.

On the first you see a mod for Peta Jensen, second is when you click that open till you see the "game" folder for that mod.

Last is the Games opening part, where you can start the game, have that in a second window.

Now you click the folder "game" in the Peta mod folder.
Then you go to the Game start window and click on an empty space to indicate to your PC that this is the place to paste whats in your copy clipboard.
Then on this empty space you Paste your copy.

Now it will overlap the "game" folder you have a copy of, over the "game" folder inside the Game Start window and create everything that isn't already in there from that copy of the mod.

If you click on the "game" folder inside that game start window, it's likely for some OS to paste your copy inside the "game" folder, which is the wrong way to do it, because then you have the path:
"game->game->mods"
where it should be:
"game->mods"

Therfore click on an EMPTY space before pasting!

The one who made the mod, made sure every path is inside the folder "game" that you copy, so everything will be installed correctly if you do it this way!

As I wrote before, some modders put a shorter path to their content, in that case see what the folder in their mod is called, navigate till you find a similar folder inside the Games game folder, would usually be "game->mods" and use the same overlap technique I just showed ya ;)
On the Spreadsheet where we find most mods, is also info explaining it all.

The example mod here, you also notice the mod creator has placed info text. This text is very informative in how to add it, as well as that mod is made a special way so you can add the girl as either a girl or a mother, the info text explains how. Peta Mod.png Peta Mod 2.png Game start.png

Hi, there are problems with saving and restoring the game.
After several games are saved, when i try to load the last one i find that the content is from an older savefile. It is not my fault, the screen capture shown is correct but the content is from an older file. I have checked several times. I'm not sure but i think that this happens when you save the game, keep playing and save the game a second time. The new progress is not saved.

I have lost my progress several times.
Are you using any mods which add stuff like events/locations etc?

If not can you send me your save and maybe give me some details on patterns to what you have done in your saves to try narrow it down.

Do you know what a Folder Path is, like... at all??

Wish I could make a video to explain it..

All the folders and files you show here, belongs inside another folder, a girls or mother folder by the looks of it..

You really make things complicated for yourself by going too deep into the Folder Path.

Let me explain Folder Path for ya..

First you have the name of the downloaded Mod, that's a folder, yellow icon.
Then inside that folder would be another folder and so and and so forth.

What I advice is to open the mod folder until you see a folder called "game" That's the one you copy and that's the one you paste.

Because inside the Mods folder "game" would be a PATH, like this:

game->mods->girls->girls name->all the content the mod holds for that girl, like the one on your screenshot.

So by copy and paste "game" you add everything inside into their correct path with 1 simple click!

If you travel along the end path like you did, you have to do the same trackdown insides the games many folders to find where to put it, complicating it too much.

If a modder do not start their mod path with "game" it would start with something like "mods" or "girls" or "mothers", if it's a girl or mother mod, to find that..
Go to main game, open game folder, paste mods folder if your copied folder is called "mods".
Go to main game, open game folder, open mods folder, paste girls folder if the copied folder is called "girls"
See a pattern yet?

If it's a game changing mechanic mod, there should be a very clear describtion of how to add it, try to use the logic I've tried to teach you.

if still not understanding, I'll advice using google for YouTube vids on how to copy/paste to Ren'Py.
