Just Corrupted Academy from what I can tell.
I'm not playing that many adult games these days and I haven't really kept track of how many were Renpy titles, but I'm pretty sure I would've noticed if any other game just closed itself every 5 minutes.
It's a problem I've had since the beginning of this year and it can be almost impossible to identify exactly what causes it, since a lot of factors come into play, like hardware, drivers and a combination of such.
In my case it all started when NVidia began focusing on their new 5K graphic card drivers.
My card is 4080 so updating to latest would normally not be an issue, but since late Dec the new drivers was not 100% compatible with older card types and every driver update since has been a nightmare for many card users, even 5k owners mind ya.

But back to the Ren'Py issue ;)
In my case, only Ren'Py games appears affected and it's random when the crash occurs.
Can be at starting a game, can be after a few minuts, or hours, but eventually a crash would happen.

Had irl friends, who work with IT for a living, come over and help me find a fix.
Full system and BIOS checkup, everything worked and set as it should be.

What I did was roll back my Nvida driver to the last stable one from mid Dec I think it was..
(Note to using old drivers: It's not a good idea in the long run, as other drivers update accordingly towards the latest drivers)
Then I even lowered my proccessor setting a bit by using Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility.
Performance Core Ratio was a 57x, changed it to 54x
This is essentially underclocking the main processor and it helped a lot, however crashing can still happen.
So finally I went back to also using the first solution that worked at the beginning, then stopped working with an Nvidia driver update, which was:

Start the Ren'Py game, click shift+g, you see the Rendere setting at a pop up, it's default is Auto, changed that to middle setting, quit, restart game.

If crashes still happen, try the last setting.

In my case Ren'Py games very rarely crash now, but they still can, so I save often ;)

I tried that yesterday after reading your initial post about it.
Changing the renderer did nothing for me, in fact the middle setting triggered an immediate crash. Funnily enough setting the framerate to a fixed 60 seems to have slightly improved the stability, although that could just be confirmation bias.

I have played other Renpy games since the start of the year without any issues, but this is the first one I tried in 2 or 3 months, so that may or may not have something to do with it.

Guess I'll have to see how long I can tolerate constantly saving and restarting every 5-15 mins but thx for the reply.

You're welcome :)
As said, it can be a lot of things.. out of curiosity, is your CPU an i9 by any chance? and what graphic card number?
From your post I guess it's NVida and you use the latest drivers, if so it would confirm that it's not yet time for me to update my NVidia drivers, as I'm waiting for them to release a stable one for older, as well as newer, cards ;)

Yeah, it's an i9 and a 4070.
Don't think my next card is going to be an nvidia but that's unrelated to any issues with this game.

Click this white field above:
The 2nd option helped me a lot, I downloaded Intells own tool and chose the older version as my core isn't named Ultra, or whatever the newest gen can have on it.
Running the tool shows core stats so to speak and changes can be made if you know what your doing.
I wouldn't play around too much with it without knowlegde.
But as the screenshot of anothers advice shows, Ren'Py runs better with Performance Core Ratio 54x
So if yours are higher than that, it can be one of the issues of the Ren'Py crashings.
Mine was at 57x so used that tool to underclock my core.
I don't feel much difference, but have an idea that underclocking slightly might even extend it's lifetime, as overclocking can cause it to burn out faster?

Interesting, thx.
I never overclocked a system, or underclocked it for that matter, but I'll take a look.

I know that all the action in the game is done by the white player
What if to make a version where all the action is done by a black guy?

vids black.jpg

How do I know - how many players would be interested in such mod?
Is there some way to get a vote?

So having played for a bit I have to say my biggest issue is that honestly it feels too easy to corrupt people even early on. In the first batch of students, without even having passed any new rules yet I was able to keep all their grades up as well as getting in their panties within like 2 weeks. by graduation every one of them passed while being completely corrupted, as well as most of their mothers.

I think the main "problem" is the training during the private talk at home with the students. If you do that every day, it boosts corruption so much.

Gentlemen, who has a guide (video) how to make mods? (girls or mothers)

It's pretty easy as long as you know how to cut and convert videos to webm (and are ready to put in the necessary effort to make all the videos and pics necessary) at least as long as you don't want to add Events as well.
