So basically nothing new, I'm aware of the new ui, this is why i left the game in first place, I just wanted to wait a bit till everything is resolved before jumping back in.

i say this because i am asking the same question...
You would have a better chance of a response if you repeated the question. But having gone back through the chain of replies to when the question was originally asked, several months ago, I see it's about being unable to access the Nexus. If this is in Act 3, then it's not yet possible to access it again. If it's before Act 3, then I must have played the content too long ago to remember anything about it.

Act 3 talk to Lyx, goblin girl
Lead 5001 "A Strange Barrier Lyx had no idea what to do... Apparently the Nexus crystal is too advanced. I should sleep on it, maybe I'll think of something..."
Act 3 Gaia Dreams, just keep sleeping after you talked to Lyx

The timer mechanism ruined this game for me, it was in my top 5 of all time, now it is absolute rubbish.
I just ignore the timer, and still just go to my bedroom and wait for afternoon or whatever.

ok, the only leads i have are lynx was stealing stuff form college, and left white sand behind... and no matter where i look, i Can't find her, so i`m stuck
the other lead is about lynx obv, since it says i need to talk to someone who knows about magic about the barrier, so i'm double stuck...
there's a guide on page one that gives the directions of the exploration areas
Lynx is listed as "goblin witch"

you should be able to find her at the beach that you can acess when going to outskirts (assuming you unlocked it after beating the funny medieval speaking woman)
