Hey everyone, I've started this game and grasp pretty much anything except one thing: how do I remove the "circumstances 1/4" modifier? I would get 144x but the 1/4 modifier fucks that up. Any idea how to remove that one? I don't quite understand what triggers that one.
Hmm if it’s the modifier I believe you’re talking about, that modifier gets added when a circumstance damage isn’t caught up to the rest so for example: HATE, INJU, PLEA, are all level 2 and EXPO is level 1 then the other 3 circumstance damage will have that “1/X” until EXPL is level 2 like the others so try to keep them all around relatively the same level

I think the biggest problem people have between the Tier 3 into Tier 4 breaks is the lack of control over them, or at least a perceived lack of control. Having a more concrete way of influencing the Chosens actions seems like a decent conclusion to me. All of the frustration I've personally had at this stage is when I'm just waiting for the Chosen to actually do the actions I need them to do, though it's not particularly difficult to sculpt their actions if you don't go hog wild with the Tier 3 breaks. I don't actually think much needs to change for this section of the game, other than having a way to more directly influence the Chosens actions during combat, and perhaps a progress recap at the end of the day. Like if one of the Chosen gains 120% towards Impregnation, the info screen at the end could say "120% > 300% Impregnation progress" (300% being the total %). I think being able to see exactly how much progress you've made in a day could at least improve the feel of accomplishment from each day. As for having more ways to Influence Chosen actions during combat... Maybe 4 new upgrades that give you an ability to trigger the Chosen into activating their new abilities like Slaughter on command once a day per chosen, and they're more likely to use the corresponding ability afterwards? That way you can build them up using surrounds and circumstance damage, then get a guaranteed trigger of whatever you're trying to go for, and increase potential progress at the same time. Just my 2 cents.
I think that sort of idea would be really great honestly, Something that feels like you’re still influencing the chosen but also leaving the concept of them corrupting themselves intact. I like this because personally I enjoy the T3 and T4 parts of the games or at least enough so that I also don’t feel like it needs a complete rework or something, I feel like this section of the game is sort of like you allowing the chosen to corrupt themselves after all the corruption you’ve done to them previously, similiar to the T1 breaks but on a grander scale and the T4 breaks earn their names as “Punishers” for how much they relied on their ability.

And this kind of influencer kind of thing I can also see as not only as an upgrade but also maybe a perk or modifier of some forsaken defilers, I talked about some forsaken defilers maybe having some minor perk like reducing/increasing the threshold of T3’s or the ability to modify certain t3s like making slaughter more deadly while also increasing % more or making it less deadly but reducing % but I influencing the probability or being able to proc it once or twice a battle is a really dope idea :D

I tried this out real quick and here every level is the same and no other girl is on the scene. So the "highest circ." modifier is a mystery to me. The same thing happens once every level above is 3 and below 2, an 1/4 modifier. Don't really know how to fix this cause everything is the same level and the totals are all the same.

The "highest circumstance" modifier is just a balance point that was addled to throttle the power of purely going for Injury a while back, you don't get rid of it you just have to deal. Trust me when I say the game is better with it, PLEA and EXPO were almost worthless in the old balance which was obviously very strange for a porn game.

How do you specifically get Negotiation Distortion? And what type of commander would you use for that? Haven't actually tried this route yet.

i dont really know the way but distortion is not a expecific comander u need to break her in a certain way and reach a certain trauma level during a fight after that u can a least that was how i always used temp in my chosen

The first such path is the Morality/Confidence Distortion. In order to start on this path, the player must avoid breaking all Morality and Confidence Vulnerabilities other than T1 Confidence (use of 'begging'). The target must have been hit by Force Orgasm and Broadcast in the past, and then must be brought to 100k PLEA in order to initiate the Tempt defiler action. This is challenging to achieve, but the rewards are substantial. More information is available in-game once the distortion has begun!

The second is the Innocence/Dignity Distortion. In order to start on this path, the player must avoid breaking all Innocence and Dignity Vulnerabilities other than T1 Dignity (use of 'hiding'). The target must have been hit by Inseminate and Sodomize/Torture/Force Laughter in the past, and then must be caught in an Orgy that lasts at least 10 turns.

The third is the Morality/Dignity Distortion. In order to start on this path, the player must avoid breaking all Morality and Dignity Vulnerabilities other than T1 Morality (use of 'violence'). The target must have been hit by Force Orgasm and Sodomize/Torture/Force Laughter in the past, and then the entire team must be brought to at least 1G ANGST. Finally, the Distortion may be triggered during a custom sex scene (follow the purple highlighted buttons from the Shop menu).

found in the guide now which one is the negotiation i have no idea ... must be the violance since u can custom sex scene

Negotiation is the Morality/Dignity distortion, yes. The easiest way to get it is to go for orgies, it's hard to rack up enough trauma fast enough otherwise.

btw it was some time i didnt play this game what can i do with the aproach in info?
Its basically the “meet” system that’s for forsaken but for chosen instead, with the added concept that the chosen will end prematurely if they’re too angry or tired along with them resisting your actions at times, the negotiation distortion plays a role with this in that you can do more with them and they won’t resist unless you try to take their virginity or something like that

This is also where you trigger the negotiation distortion once you meet the requirements for it

I would like to add that it seems negotiation doesn't give a lot of EE in contrast with tempt. I often get 100 EE from the first tempt but negotiation seems to give only 30.

Hello CSdev, I'm running into an issue that is consistently causing the game to freeze. I experienced this on R31, ported my save over to R31b, and was still experiencing it. The only change I have made is swapping in the provided portraits pack. I've attached my save and the steps that will cause the freeze.

Also CSdev, just a quality of life request, it would be nice to have a single screen where we could see ALL of a forsaken's position bonuses whether or not they were active, and even better if we could do so for multiple chosen at the same time. The Position and Deploy screens only show currently active position abilities (besides abilities for the currently viewed position), and the individual forsaken screen doesn't even show active position abilities. Perhaps they could all be available on one of these screens, and colored when they are active? I like to compare abilities when deciding who's next in line for the breeding pits.

You basically have to meet two requirements to start Negotiation. First you need to have breaks in Innocence/Confidence (I think you need at least tier 2 breaks in both but not 100% sure that tier 1's don't also work) without breaking Morality/Dignity(tier 1 morality is allowed but not tier 1 dignity)
Second you need all chosen on the team to have at least 1G Angst each

Once both those requirements are met you can approach them in their info screen and select Negotiate to start the distortion. You'll know you got it if their info screen is highlighted purple. (Doing this does mean you skip the battle for that day)
Once you get to the final battle you'll have a special attack against them called appeal. It deals a set amount of resolve damage depending on how many times you've used the Negotiation action when approaching them, it also doesnt scale with damage so you can start using it on them without having to bother with captures or surrounds to weaken them first.

The Dominance Defiler fits the damage types you'll need initially so its pretty useful and if you have access to forsaken then training one to the point they can do the assist raid training action can give enough angst to the chosen team to fill that requirement as well.

Did that pregnancy mod ever go anywhere? Kinda want to knock some magical girls up.
Dev turnaround might be too high for any real modding though to be fair.

I think progress on it was put on hold until they were finished with exams or something? That was last I saw though

So there is something funky going on with the chosen relationships in my current save. I have two forsaken, Axiom and Stalwart who are twins. I set Stalwart as my 'Bait' going into my current loop. When the Chosen Whisper (not to be confused with my forsaken also named Whisper) appeared she announced that she was Axiom's little sister, which if Axiom and Stalwart are twins is a correct but unexpected interaction. Looking at the deploy options, both Axiom and Stalwart get an intimate capture bonus against her. When I capture Whisper with Stalwart, the text refers to Whisper as Stalwart's big sister. The last point is definitely unintentional, and not sure how much of the other stuff is intended. I've attached my save.

I think there are a lot of other ways to handle that. You could balance things differently so it isn't so trivial to lock girls down late game. That or staying in line with the girls allowing the girls to sin on their own, you could make it so the MC offers to fuck them in return for leaving or stopping his attack temporarily. That feels more in line with things than the current system imo. I imagine at that point the girls could rationalize how willingly fucking the bad guy instead of allowing him to continue hurting people would still be the "right" thing to do. Knowing they're going to get raped anyways at that point... Lol. That would leave less time of just standing around and getting hit and could be tied into new combat strategies just the same. That's also them easing into fucking the bad guy willingly and easing into consensual sex with him. Just another option, it could always be an alternative?

I'm not sure a game mechanic revolving around you kind of intentionally having to play "bad" for multiple weeks is ever going to feel okay. I hope you're successful in improving the feel of that area of the game, whatever you decide to do with it. I'd like to enjoy the T4 break stuff as much as the earlier gameplay.

I hope these alternate options make its way into the first run. I've gotta say as somebody who likes to restart from scratch frequently, I don't think there are many ways to play the original run. I feel like I pretty much do the same thing every game, part of the reason why I took a break from the game. I tried a bunch of different strategies and really only one worked consistently. Always buying out the same upgrades at the same points. I think the initial run needs some love/attention.
I'd definitely recommend trying out the Distortion paths and seeing whether you enjoy the game more when pursuing them. When I start a new campaign, I find it pretty interesting to look at the first team of Chosen and decide which path I can send them down in order to result in the strongest possible Forsaken for the next loop, because the different paths result in very different Forsaken attributes. Furthermore, the Distortion paths allow you to defeat the Chosen without any T4 breaks. It can still be nice to get the T4 breaks for achievement purposes, but it's arguably stronger to finish the loop quickly with the Distortion in order to have more days for training.
I think the biggest problem people have between the Tier 3 into Tier 4 breaks is the lack of control over them, or at least a perceived lack of control. Just my 2 cents.
Having a T4 break progress recap at the end of the day is an excellent idea. That sort of "make things more clear and satisfying for the player" feature is one of the things I struggle with, so I appreciate the suggestion.

As for allowing the player to push the Chosen to use the T3 actions more often, that might be tricky. The Chosen already use the T3 actions at almost every opportunity. The only exceptions are Fantasize (where I'm still looking for the right balance) and arguably Striptease (where they only use it when it would actually decrease damage to the surrounded Chosen - if there's already a stronger Striptease in progress, or if their own increased EXPO level would cancel out the damage reduction, they don't use it).
Found another bug, don't know if this has been reported or not. This happen when after I train the chosen from round 2 or after I choose them for combat. I played on easy mode with cheat enabled if that makes any difference.
There's something very strange going on with the Forsaken list in your save. Judging by the fact that you have 69 million Evil Energy, I'm going to assume that you edited your save (rather than pressing the +100 Evil Energy cheat 690 thousand times). Nothing wrong with doing that, but it does mean that I can't necessarily fix whatever went wrong.

Thank you very much for tracking down exactly how to trigger the crash. It'll be fixed in the next version.

I'll add it to my list of things to implement. That also might be an unobtrusive place to put info about which Forsaken Punishers the current team of Chosen will be able to use if you manage to convert them.

The first part is working as intended, since the Chosen don't actually "know" which Forsaken you put in the Bait position. When they have a special relationship with multiple Forsaken, they just pick one to name as their motivation for fighting you. Hopefully Stalwart doesn't take it personally.

Stalwart thinking that her twin sister's little sister is her big sister is, of course, a bug. The way the relationships were generated there, Stalwart and Whisper actually both consider each other to be the big sister. I see where the error in the code is, so it should be fixed by next version. In the meantime, at least it shouldn't impact the gameplay.

Well, true enough. Though I doubt it's because of the edited evil energy since I can use the forsaken from the third round and the only difference that I can think is that I don't capture all the chosen in the second round. Will try to do more testing though.

Edit: Tried to restart it again and not using CE this time, but is the commander's suppresors can't trigger the T2 break ? Feels a bit weird since the suppressors and the thralls function similarly. Also I just remember, but my bugged forsakens did have multiple tier breaks and multiple relationship interactions at times, so it might affect the bug?

Are the distortion paths explained in game yet or is it still something you need to know about beforehand and follow a step by step guide for? Last I checked the distortion paths sounded like inputting a cheatcode or something lol. "Do X, avoid A, B, C, orgy for 10 turns without breaking so and so vuln", not really the kind of stuff you'd figure out through normal gameplay alone unless you were stupid lucky. That's the kind of issue I'm often talking about with a lot of the game mechanics. Lemme check the textfile (For version 29, last I played)

Yeah...those aren't really reasonable for the player the stumble on or figure out on their own. Why doesn't it just allow you to choose to distort a girl a certain way and then give you a list of requirements for that distortion in game? Like starting a questline. Should the distortions really be hidden from the MC like that? That's the "metagaming" issue I'm talking about. You need outside knowledge to play the game. The MC should be involved in shit since the character is the one acting. The MC should be like "I want to distort the girl in this way, so here's what I'm going to do", and give the player a list of requirements, not the other way around. I hope I'm explaining my issue well enough. It's kind of a complicated thing to describe.

It's not like you can't hide some parts of the requirements from players, but I feel like distortions and other things should be incorporated into the actual game more. So it feels like people are playing a game and not following step by step walkthroughs. Maybe it's already planned, so I'll wait until that patch to try them out if so. The implementation is really important to me.
