Maybe I'm stupid, but this is a game that's all text and no graphics, and you have to use your imagination?

Yes. There was also a image pack but it didn't illustrate every scene, far from it.
It's a text game, even with the image pack at most you had one image for 1 out 20 scenes.You have to read it and yes, use your imagination.
Don't pass on it too fast tho. There is a lot a fun in reading some of those scenes, especially if you try to create a character that you like (you have a lot of options)
Edit : I'm pretty sure you can find fan art for most of the characters, there is even a hentai comic about CoC1 Original.

There are only two mods out there. /hgg/ and Xianxia. /hgg/ is about building up the general design style of the base game and expanding it with a lot of new content. Xianxia is more off-the-wall turning it into a heavily Chinese light novel inspired cultivation game, part of a subgenre I think called Xian.
Between the two, those explanations hopefully give your heart a sense of which you'd prefer. In terms of quality control, many people have gripes about Xianxia's English errors, code, and balance, but "quantity over quality" appeals to some.

is my recommendation, and the test builds are on an imageboard. Main version updates soon, as the final test patch is in code review.
Only download the specific version you want. No need to download linux version on windows, or the flash version on android.

In the past, there was UEE/Revamp, but it was long since abandoned and both /hgg/ and Xianxia build off of it.

I had expected more mods of this game by now, a shame but thank you for the recs

with new mermaid TF(Fetish Zealots at the boat are rewritten and have a rare drop undershirt that begins the TF), a couple dozen sex scenes, new unarmed combat abilities (Fists of Fury perk unlocks new combat styles when unarmed if your fist or claw mastery is at least 1. Claws use Natural Weapons perk also)
Also saving to file and loading from file is fully cross-compatible between all releases now, so you can load your flash save from PC on your android APK.
Couple dozen sex scenes and a lot of non-sex scenes. Etc. This isn't my site, so I'm keeping it short.

Does anyone know how to get the slug parasite encounter in the bog in hgg mod? Over 150 trips to that place and nothing.
