Perhaps it's not the exact same subset of people and critics of the game can be different from each other, really weird idea, I know.
After a thousand pages you all kinda read the same to me tbh

I was expecting that we be able to say no to sex without permanently getting locked off a character entirely
But you’re not locked off from her entirely, you still encounter her out in the wild. What’s up with you guys and getting mad over things you’re literally making up on your own?

Well that's racist.

He was obviously talking about her new expansion, not the sole roaming event.

or even basic ass parenting.
I for one love being time skipped into being a shit absent father.
Obvious sarcasm. Much like in books, movies, and videogames, execution always trumps intent.

He's clearly conflating the option to remove her for the night and the option to prevent her content period. No need to be persnickety over such an obvious misconception.

MFs really being saying shit like this and then call the characters in the Cait content groomers.
I mean. I feel like I get your point. But...
They are. Even if that's not the intent of the writers... somehow. That's how it's written.

And it IS indeed a bit... Odd.

Like. Whatever the word of god or intent was. Most people are either going to either knowingly make concessions because "it's a porn game". Or just accept what it is.
What that is is grooming children in a whorehouse, to work at the whorehouse upon adulthood.
Not taking a particular high horse or anything here, mind you. I'm just calling a spade a spade.

That said, Caim in Drakengard is more merciful than these folks. Heh.

0.6.6 Patch Notes:
  • If you have helped Shar move to her tower, finished the Cloister quest, renovated the Wayfort, and never kicked Zhara out of your bed when she’s approached you, she and her goons will approach you about moving into the Wayfort.
  • If you accept Zhara’s offer, you’ll either get new guards or a new source of income to supplement your fort.
  • There are several new events for harpy-related mischief (and a chance to be treated to a reverse gangbang) in the fort once they’ve all moved in. Poor Daliza gets bullied even more.
  • In the fort, Zhara can act as both an alchemy bench and a shop for all flavors of harpy egg. She also has some new talks.
  • Zhara’s firstborn chick has a name and face now, and a special interaction if you’ve got Agnimitra in the party when you meet her for the first time.
  • Zhara’s pregnancy content’s been patched up and expanded for her living in the fort.
  • All of Zhara’s night time visit sex scenes have been touched up to work in the Wayfort. (Thanks to Tobs for helping with the edits here!)
  • Atani’s firstborn kid can now be named, and has new hangout and play options (by Skow).
  • Fixed a bug that made Restrained apply Stun instead of Stagger. oops.
  • Fixed a bug that made Kitsunetsuki’s effects not have the proper duration
  • New Bust: Zhara’s daughter.

But he specifically said “locked off a character entirely” and then followed it up with “fucking them off from the plot forever.” It’s not really obvious at all when he’s very pointedly trying to push the narrative that the character is gone from the game when you tell her to fuck off (which is a lie).

I'm going in with high hopes, hopefully I can be an actual father to my child and not speedrun their life and be a total deplorable cunt with daddy issues like a certain white haired kitsune I know.

Technically Kinu.
Really? I’m not aware of their ever implementing that “magical dildo” feature they once mentioned that would allow female PCs to impregnate Kiyoko; so to get Kinu, a female PC would still need to temporarily grow a cock, right?

The roaming event is not part of the plot. It's a random encounter, nothing like the expansions she now has. Comparing the two should make it obvious what he meant. You're being far too literal and obtuse about this.

It's obvious to literally everybody but you, dude. Just stop.

On the wayfort: For real though, the wayfort is a complete mess. It's just this weird mix of characters that they just throw in there with absolutely no relation to one another. It's just really jarring seeing these completely different NPCs with nothing in common share the same space with each other.

Had to double check
Word of God from the man himself

If you get the ghostlight piercing from (I think there's two sources and one is evergreen), you can knock up Kiyoko.

I'm fine with the wayfort as a concept in the same way that I really liked expanding a base with many different characters in Suikoden. Mind you I'm not comparing something as expansive and fun to engage in as that to something like this. I'm just stating that the concept works even with NPCs that diverse in temperament and function.

For starters, large amounts of the wayfort are dominated by Daliza random events, bee x plant, plant x guard interactions.
These becomes very annoying very quickly given the little variance. This is to the point that the best place to skip days in the game is in the fox den with an unfucked femKeros. As at least you won't have your rest or steps taken over by events you can't stop.

It's also a bit of a wasted vehicle inside the porn space to begin with:
  • Your own base of operations to which you'll assumedly be housing an ever expanding cast of characters and very few companions (no companions now that I think on it) take advantage of that fact.
  • It's exceptionally small given the function it's meant to serve. (limiting the random Daliza events to the proximity of around where the Caravan/Alraune are would go a long way to making the place more pleasurable to be)
  • Be warming options that are far smaller than they should be.

And for me personally it's missing that small bit of flare on top of these things. No unique flavorful effects for fully upgrading it. No special items linked to it's development. Only a single special vendor. I guess the summoning circle counts but those scenes are some real mercenary work if you catch my drift.

It being a mess is sort of a charm point for me, it feels like a legit town with all kinds of people now. The only ones that probably straight up don't fit the tone are Behemoth and the gambling demons. Behemoth since he's just mindless and could easily hurt someone (it's the reason the centaurs want to get rid of him if you spare him). The gambling demons since they don't have an obsession that can be worked around like Farrah. They just want fun. Fun that can easily be turned on innocent people.

In retrospect, Farrah probably should be gotten rid of now that we got the wandering caravan, too.

Agreed that the wayfort lacks so much variety and connecting content, but the silver lining is that the game is in active development, so there is a big chance more systems and support will get implemented into it. Might just not be the main focus/priority for the staff and writers at the moment. That or someone ponies up the cash to commission a writer, or becomes a community writer. Regardless, fingers crossed we get more stuff for it.

It was originally supposed to be the Corrupt Champ's equivalent to Hawkethorn (Or somewhere else, can't remember), but was eventually mashed into all champs. That's why the first residents were demons like Farrah, why a completely corrupted Jae'lyn goes there, etc. Unfortunate it worked out the way it did imo, but it's not like the Wayfort would feel as lived in as it does if it was Corrupt Champ exclusive so I guess it's a net positive?
