Maybe Internet did too much damage to my perception of Undertale (despite the fact that I love the game myself), but... am I the only one who finds this needlessly edgy? Maybe it's just 24/7 Tobs bullying on this thread, but even the specific example with Kitsune gives off the vibe of "I hate this entire village, I wish there was a lore-justification to destroy it, how about a justifiable power-wise genocide".

Not to mention, the logistics behind it would be... well, awful, to say the list. I get that it's just a concept and idea, not an actual suggestion or proposal, but still, imagine a game that is already struggling with adding content people like suddenly spending months of devtime to write an entire route a fraction of the playerbase will play.

I will sound like the devil's advocate, but when there are actual developers who would wasting devtime adding alternative endings, gamemodes and routes (ehem, YandereDev) in their game which is years from being finished, I can't help but feel like it's a good thing nobody on Savin's team is working on something like this. Not to deny their many other missteps, errors and stupid decisions, of course, those still exist.

I'm not a particularly skilled writer but it feels like there is space for a genuine corrupt route, in particular a "palpatine" plot. The cult leaders goal as far as I'm currently aware is basically he's going to drain kas power into himself, not counting any possible backstabs etc along the way. You can make friends and political alliances the entire game, and while of course theyd probably throw deus ex machinas in to prevent it or semi reasonable explanations like gods detecting something wrong, there seems to be a opening for the mc to be a heroic paragon of justice and love while taking the cults research, preventing or altering the attempt to take kas' power, and taking it for yourself.

Which is very very important as a plotline, because in one of the bad ends (minus their "not canon" comments) is a ending where kas has essentially absorbed all the gods and probably the "thing in between"'s power and is essentially hollow from it, presumably from the time gap between seeing your character, who was frozen, which could be thousands of years etc depending on game magic logic, and probably her gambit to have children being unable to work anymore for various reasons, maybe she got hp Lovecraft style knowledge that broke her or made her like a computer.

A lot of text but my point from that is imo there's a solid setup for a undertale-like genocide route, a totally optional, underlined "if you do this you will betray all your friends and those who've put faith in you", where you take kas' power and presumably nobody knows. You leave your friends, maybe you get a expanded power set like the batter from off, and you do a fast surprise attack, let's say the kitsune den first. You face the npcs, but more importantly you face kiyoko and kinu, characters that (possibly) you're more connected to, and they get justifiably hurt and angry. You slaughter/defeat kitsune, corrupt them until keros appears. You make keros a superboss, you absorb him, and you use that power to leapfrog to the next zone, each zone having minor npcs and npcs you've probably liked before, corrupting party members into the forms kas shown you in dreams, their personalities becoming distorted and broken, your power skyrocketing, encounters with power far beyond what you would normally encounter, until finally you sit on a throne, but at what cost? Maybe you have 100s of sloots, minorly altered husbands or wives, but no equals. You betrayed kas to fulfill your goals, your party has been altered to submit to your will, and maybe the entire world. A puppet master with only an eternal puppet play. *Babam* corruption of champions 2
Only issue with that vision is that no way we'll ever be allowed to off Kinu or Cait, so Palpachamp bout to have in his council Darth Skanky jerking everyone off under the table and some goddamn fucking hippy who can only talk about zucchinis. I'd take lonely at the top over that shit.

Large but not quite big post
Fair points except idk about Undertale, never played it. All I know is bone eyefire guy in the hoodie :LUL:

Although you have to admit, it would be nice for a champ who has taken on the title "Dark Knight" to have something reflecting as such. Very much lacking in the corruption of Corruption of Champions 2. I'm not asking for a horde of slaves like in CoC1, just make my corrupted champ feel corrupted. They're not good bois/men/gals so them being all "Ohhh oh nooooo demons" feels hypocritical for them

Are there any Events in the game that TF the MC like the TF Event where Brint turns into Brienne?
If not, are there any plans for MC TF Events like Brint/Brienne's in the future? Or are those types of TF Events really exclusive to your companions?
Thank you.

Not gonna argue about the logistics, but the whole concept of the foxes as a whole was born of spite and saltmining by Tobs' own admission. He was even gonna marry his bacon fox off to someone else Takahiro-style, no choice given, until Savin of all people talked him out of it. And IIRC that was after he'd already given her some content.

Not sure if i'd ever pick such a ending because ultimately i'd rather just forget the fox village even exists and enjoy the highlife in KM, but hardly anyone's fault but the weaboo's that spiteful shit calls for spite. Like, honestly, with how them foxes behave, were it any other game i'd say that village is pretty much built to be wiped out in an evil ending. Hell, in a more self-aware game offing Keros, the cat groomer god and all them others could even be perfect ending worthy.

I'm not touching tui until her Arona blowjob is removed or at least made optional... it makes no sense in my pov for her character to blow Arona a day after she lost her virginity

Events :unsure:not really but there are items that you discover/find while exploring the lands and during events that change your appearance such as the Witch's outfit in the Old Forest or think the Royal leathers

I have nothing against the reasonings. Kitsunes are quite hateable and honestly barely belong in a game like CoC2. Tobs biggest strength as the writer is creating salt, similar Midus touch, but instead of turning stuff into gold, he turns it into salt. So I can't blame anyone for wanting to alter his content in the way he would hate. But I also can't help but finding people rooting for an entire genocide route where you murder/corrupt(?) many characters in the game a bit... edgy?

This is going to sound weird, but if Tobs' writing makes me want to commit to an idea which would ruin his vision - he won. It means that he now lives rent-free in my head, while I am thinking about ways how I can screw-over his characters that, ultimately, will never make it into the actual game. And I refuse this. I'd go insane if I've kept Tobs in my head all the time.

God forbid Corruption of Champions have real corruption options.
I mean there's corruption and then there's... that. It would basically mean making a second game on top of the first but with more of a focus on the stuff you'd find in an angsty teenager's livejournal than porn. Either way it's another one on the pile of 'never going to happen unless someone mods it in'.
