Fair points, honestly. I guess maybe it would be more accurate to say that it would allow CoC2 avoid some complains and comparisons with OG game, but clearly not all problems, as illustrated by people having similar issues with TiTs. And I do have to admit that despite those problems. it's... hard to say that CoC2 is unplayable or downright awful. I mean, the game has a LOT of well written scenes that are enhanced by the primary gameplay loop and despite some bad moments, it's rather difficult to say if they outweigh the positives.I take issue with this specifically, for two reasons.
One, its already pretty well received. The number of positive reviews for this game dwarf negative reviews, by a lot. I wouldn't say the atmosphere in this specific thread accurately represents the games reception in general.
And two: you only have to flip over to the TiTs thread and notice that that game isn't called CoC2 and still gets largely the same complaints to see that that's not the primary issue.
I guess it's kinda like Skyrim? Where despite many quests chains being filled with plot holes and stupid moments that make no sense, it still leaves a positive impressions as a complete package for most people?
