Without having to go back and check, it was probably a death of a thousand cuts kind of thing for me. Small things here and there, and just a general disinterest in what the updates were for a good long while.

I see this complaint so often here and it never fails to have me wonder if people here actually play and READ this game. Like how many times does the statistics need to be posted here that basically states vag only women and straight content accounts for, I wanna say, like 60% of all content and is more than everything else combined.
There are only like 4 updates up until like April of this year that doesn't add straight content featuring vag only women, the most recent being the Black Knight update on Sept.11th.

I am trying to cage Ryn again, but when I go to it says that someone else is already wearing it. I did not place it on Alissa yet. It's a save that has been through many versions (615 days) so I have no way to figure out what happened to it. Can someone help with the flags that need to be changed to get the cage back? Thank you!

To clarify here, I DO NOT have the cage and HAVE NEVER put it on anyone. Can someone share their save where it is available so I can search the flags please?

60% of all NPCs. About content? I'm not actually sure about that.

I've never done a tally and neither has anybody else. The big list I've seen are just NPC tallies. I thought I'd do that one day. But that sounds more tedious than fun for the purposes of informing a perspective. So that's probably never coming.

Though I've often thought, where are the lines drawn. Like I can't exactly pretend that the Black Knight and Alante are balanced in this regard.


What about the distribution?
Kalysea has more content by herself than 3 other NPCs combined.
Tarah far eclipses NPCs like Gwyn, Eryka, and Clementine combined.

the most recent being the Black Knight update on Sept.11th.

This is what I'm talking about.

You could count the Vulperine's as an example of females balancing the scales. But while the empath has 2 scenes including the loss scene the rest of that pack has 7 sex scenes not counting variations for player vaginal/anal.

What I mean to say is that content amount and NPC gender aren't created equal. At that particular point of scrutiny, where does it end? Like do I count that the majority of threesomes in the game all have a male, futa, or dickgirl despite their being more females?

Really the only thing that brought this about was a fit of clarity when I realized that Vasha is quite literally the first random encounter where you're not under threat of being sodomized on loss in nearly 4 years. Unless I'm mistaken, the last one was the Painted Demons by B in December of 2020.

I did actually do a tally, for like a 7 month period, and for that time at least, it's pretty consistent.

In fact, for actually meaningful content (as in not one-off encounters or battles) pretty sure it comes out to even higher than 60% in favor of females.

This is besides the fact that female characters tend to get a wider variety of meaningful content too. All the marriages, all the kids, the vast majority of romance in the game? For female characters.

Heck, just peep the companion spread, and note the content disparity there. It's pretty reflective of the whole game.

Did you EVER get the cage?
For high confidenceEtheryn, you have to either catch anal from her or do the Elthara threesome after WC.
For low cpnfidence Etheryn, I'm pretty sure you just approach her in the palace.

I don't know how to edit key items without breaking everything (which is what the cage is, when it's in your inventory).

So we're going to do this in an incredibly stupid way.

1. Create an external save in game
   1. Data -> Save to File -> name it whatever (make sure it has the .coc2 filename)
2. Open the game in your browser. If you don't know how to do this
   1. Open the folder where you unzipped CoC2 -> Resources -> App -> Index.html
3. Open Index.html
4. Open the console. If you're on chrome:
   1. Press f12
   2. Click on the console tab
5. Add the Chastity perk to Etheryn
   1. In the console type: etheryn.createPerk(PERKS.Chastity)

Remove the cage from Etheryn, now it's properly in your key items.
You can put it on anybody now. Go nuts

I think I lost perspective due to negative bias. Because I definitely didn't think of the things like marriages, pregnancy, and children.

Yeah not having any say in the life of Kinu once freed was what really soured me on the Kitsune content as a whole. It seems like TOBS wanted to spite the annoy faction of the incest players without realizing that the spite will also hit players who actually enjoyed helping her grow up. Just look at Joker 2 to see how trying to spite your fans will turn out.

Still I wonder what my tipping point is. If we got off of when I first posted my review it was 0.4.41. But I'm pretty sure I checked out awhile before that.

I think it's his general personality but I believe I sorta just added him to the party and never bothered with him afterwards. I think my team was pretty much always Brienne and Cait. Think someone managed to add everyone in battle which would've been fun but I didn't try that.

When did sentiment for this game and it's content sour for yall? For me I enjoyed the game more when we weren't able to even get past the guards to enter the tunnel to the minotaurs' city.

Definitely has to be the post-orb Kitsune content for me. After that the whole Etheryn bullshit, the Cait temple bullshit, and just little things here and there.

I still believe a lot of the hate for the game would have never occurred if out character had agency and we had the ability to role play.
The complaints about content or characters would still exist, but would be simply minor annoyances instead of massive hindrances to enjoyment.

Sure we pick how our characters look, our background, and class but is that really all a rpg is?
For someone who based their game of a DnD game we essentially play a game run by a shitting DM who makes his pet NPCs take the center stage, but hell at least in a tabletop setting you could control what you say.
The Mass Effect dialogue wheel, Voice Hawker in DA2, and Fallout 4's four versions of saying yes still allowed one to choose our tone when choosing and option or personality of the character while we are a boring schizophrenic idea of a character who changes depending how the author wants us to act with their character.

I'm not asking for major branching paths, but the ability to at least give my character personality in various ways to answer or interact with people and quests. Just asking for minor dialogue changes and for authors to stop making our character their mouthpiece.

He failed from the offset by making them another long list of characters who disrespect your character and are fuckups who despite that have large amount of people the love them with the drunk dipshit fox being the worst.
Being the biggest douchebag in a game filled with them doesn't make one want to see them grow or get redeemed.

Look, there are many reasons why people dislike him but I do not think that is the problem here. Many people here dislike Arona and Kiyoko, yet they still have fans. Quinn, in contrast, does not.

The biggest problem he has right now is that he does not have bottoming content. That's it. Most of people here play as guys. We have dicks. We want to use them. Quinn refuses to bottom, despite being a bunny prettyboy, which either leads to disintrest in whatever he offers or puts his flaws to the forefront. Imagine if Arona did not have bottoming content -- that would immidietly kill most of playerbase interest in her.

Unfortunatly, he will probably never recieve an expansion where we can top him considering he does not have a writer.

The image that DCL made for him sucked. The character read terribly ("tell me about Tolus" "Never",) and was some half assed wanna-be Cassanova who was written to flirt with all the girls. If you didn't like NPC x NPC, Quint was meant to facilitate nothing but that.

Also I really do hope Savin is not so dumb to not only allow classes to be only be unlocked through Quint, but then also make it so that if you want to save any cultists then you need him as well.
Fucking Cait would be getting less favoritism then Quint at that point.
