Damn, what a ride. On a serious note, I do kind of hope that the subscription bleed means these projects will finally finish. Quicker they're done with this, the quicker people can figure out ways to make them better... and hopefully not make it easier for Fen and Co to just spawn a sequel off people's work again.

As someone who's very much learning to be a not-terrible manager on the fly and dealing with young technical staff who report to me (and I actively hate this job, which is why I'm looking to get out into a non-management technical role anywhere else) ... god I fucking hate the way everyone associated with the Fen-Den talk about their former colleagues. It's not even funny or cathartic, it's just plain nasty.

Pausing to stick one more knife into someone on your way to showing them the door doesn't make you a cool badass TRUTH TELLING artiste, it just tells me you love the moment where you have the most power to set the narrative and they have the least: which is naturally why you try and hurt them one last time.
It really just showcase shit culture, to be honest. I can't speak from experience but the signs aren't particularly great. That's why having a proper lead would be good. Alas, they're stuck with that muppet.

I still call their claim of William's writing "not passing standards" bullshit. Something happened behind the scenes that we will probably never know and can only speculate. They're already implementing half-assed content in both CoC2 and TiTS but suddenly when William does it they all of a sudden know what Quality Assurance means?
Speaking as someone who just recruited Agni on their save, I have a suspicion this Quality Assurance bit's a bit all over the place. You'd think someone would at least put more stuff on her just due to being a damn companion. The Fucking Pink Monster of Airborne DST's behemothic content looks even bigger in comparison when Agni shows up.

My honest guess is that it's because, 1:William's stuff was actually far too popular for their liking, especially since people kept mentioning it even in the discord and 2: It's also because William (sounds like he wasn't the only one who did so before leaving as well) actually retorted to their bs instead of just shutting up and taking it.

Also unsurprisingly Savin unlike his delusion, is not some golden goose for the writing, the actual good lore came from Fen and the good, interesting writing came from some of the other writers.
Given I've been playing it, I now think Savin sometimes hits on a good nail. Unfortunately, most of those nails are spent on Cait and his track record isn't all that amazing with her either.

Truth be told, I feel there was a way to channel him into producing something actually good but you'd need a proper person to check him on his shit with the power to manage things. I genuinely think CoC2 could be salvaged but I doubt it would be with this crew. I'm even more certain it won't be salvaged with Savin playing manager as well.

Still, I'm surviving through this playthrough so far. Got Agni back, picked up Cait's bumbling dad, stumbled upon Quintillus for the eleventh time so far and have ignored it constantly, fixing the Wayfort now. Probably gonna go hit the Kitsune Tree to meet up with Hisui Senko Kohaku, even if it means going through the Tobs Zone. Hopefully it won't try to get Kiyoko off the orb as well.

Additionally...

Hmm. No filter this time.

TL;DR
Rubbish.
Holy mother of ego's batman! Who knew Savin and crews confidence(and others) issues ran so deep?

Shit these clowns make tobs look like a saint lmao
If nothing else, he gets partial points for being up-front about being an ass. :KEK:
Who knew we'd live to see the day where TOBS is somehow more mentally composed than the rest of his compatriots(and that's saying something)

I am curious as to what, if any, progress has been made in regards to the situation of modding this game. I know both Fenoxo and Savin have gone on record to say they won't support it officially, but that of course doesn't mean it's impossible.

It is entirely possible but no one is going to do it because the effort isn't worth it when you can just make your own game without all of the baggage. (there are some game-play mods)

For baggage see the last two thousand pages of complaints.

Oh, believe me I've read the baggage. For what seems like such a loveless marriage people have between themselves and this game it's a wonder how someone hasn't gone and made some sort of spiritual successor without what one percieves as "the bullshit".

You'd also think that after constant years of up-and-down development and endless infighting, more people would have jumped the evidently half-sunk ship by now, players and creators alike.

Especially considering the reason for said ship being half sunk is the never ending attempts at scuttling by said captain/s of the ship, whether out of spite or sheer mental incompetence.

Because even tho there are valid complaints(and some less so) against this game it does have a lot of hard work put into it's creation. There have been game(s) from members of the dev team that have died so even with the experience of working on these types of games it's hard to keep them going.

Nice art for Cait. Them opening the character creation way more is pretty alright too. You guys can fine tune your abominations more before becoming cum cannons. Charmers became a third pillar now, with charm powers being their own thing. I wish they'd just roll the mages into a singular mage class, but that's just some minor OCD in me so I ignore it.

> The Accuracy bonus from Agility has been reduced by half. To compensate, all characters now have a level-based passive Accuracy boost: this should equal out to about the same for max-Agility characters and provide a nice boost to low-Agility characters’ hit rates. Poor Arona can finally swing straight!

We're no longer Stormtroopers, yay. :sneaky:
