While a thiccer and fluffier Cait appeals to me in theory, the art for it is kinda offputting. Something about the face. Ironically, this was the same issue with the thicc expansion for Anno from TiTS.

I'm with you there. The "Thicc" version of Anno is waaaaaaaayyyyy worse. The excessive proportions feel gross (and well.. excessive), not sexy. Feels exactly the same way for Cait. I get that it's a matter of taste though. Fortunately you don't have to use it if you don't wan to.

I think it's just the fact that its text based (with generally quite lengthy chunks of text between choices or actions on your part) opposed to visual that leads to this illusion. Smut is clearly the basis here, the clear focus. If that weren't true, the primary antagonist wouldn't be a psychopath trying to fuck you and the rest of the world into submission for really no other reason than that's what demons are supposedly like. She's about as complex as a marvel movie villain. You wouldn't be able to solve pretty much (or just conclude) every situation with sex, and there wouldn't be numerous entire species that are completely dominated by sex.

This game is often verbose, but it's not especially deep (or consistent for that matter). That's not intended as a criticism, just an observation. It really doesn't need to be deep (or consistent) to scratch that itch or appeal to the fetishes of its base. If analysis and head canon is your fetish, you do you, just don't expect that the writers put as much thought into each individual concept as you did.

Leothran Cait's artwork is a total and complete MESS, i'm surprised they didn't used the promo-art on Fenoxo as her profile pic, the one they went with is WAY WORSE IMO, nope, keeping my cat-slut as a domestic cat for the time being till they fix that, just...too distracting having that DERP face peeking on the edges of the screen while i'm trying to focus on the written description lol XD.

I wrote that pretty late last night, so my intent might have been unclear. I know what the game is all about; I'm not saying that it could be some literary masterpiece, or that the devs even put that much thought into the writing (although some of them do), just that it could be better. I'm not some smoothbrain who's impressed by flowery language, but someone who appreciates good writing and would like to have more than he's getting out of this.

That and they took away her delicious brown skin tone to make her pale white. Now that I look closer, thicc Cait is also more pale. What's up with this trend?

What in god’s name??? Why is her tail only pink compared with the gray fur? I find it very distracting IMO. Besides that, the overall bust looks like as if Cait went full goth lol.

It could do without the furry appendages (she's got catcher's mitts for hands bro) and the dinner plate eyeballs, but overall I prefer her new look. Her priestess uniform seemed a tad *ahem* modest for her, so the slightly exposed areolas are a nice change. Now if I could get a full-body portrait of her in her witch's outfit.

I think that is the point of Leothran. They are more thicker, have more mass then your average cat folk since they originate from colder enviorments. The thing is, Cait is not fully covered in fur so that is why she looks weird and fatter then your average Leothran.

I think the thing that bothers me the most is that cait no longer looks like she's a priestess, just some woman in skimpy clothing. I honestly dont know why it looks so offputting but for me personally i thought her main motiff was that she was a sexy nun and now its suddenly abondoned, makes it feel really different from the original cait.

Yeah, she looks like non combatant NPC. Her whole motif is that she embodies healing/white mage slut archetype. And you could read it from just her image alone. Now she just looks like your average harlot.

The color of her hair is one of the parts that was done right, oddly enough.

DCL's art showing her hair as solid pink was the one that was in error, according to the first paragraph when you inspect Cait's appearance in-game:

Caitriss is a lithe and athletic catgirl standing at about five foot eight, or a little over if you count her big, perky cat-ears. Pale skin covers most of her body, and she sports a cutely feminine face with a small, upturned nose beneath a pair of big, blue eyes with vertical slits. Her face is framed by short, not-quite-shoulder length hair that's clearly blonde, though her locks have been highlighted with a bright, bubbly pink color.

But then the new art screws something else up instead (aside from looking meh in general):

Her ears and the long, flexible feline tail behind her are both completely masked in pink, giving the cat-girl a playful and cheery look.

Her ears clearly aren't pink anymore...

Actually, hold up, haven't checked if her text description changes when going half-leothran. That could be it.
If anyone has already done it, please check her appearance to see if they changed the line about her ear color.
