Why do you keep railing against people in this thread? It's been established multiple times that the people who actively participate in discussion here complain and hate on the game for fun, sure this thread can be a bit of a circle jerk sometimes, but it's one of the only places we can go where extreme negativity about the game or staff isn't met with a ban or being mobbed. I really don't see the point of playing devils advocate or legitimately trying to defend the game on here unless you're trying to provoke people, I can understand wanting to start a discussion, but calling people out for something that has been going on here since around the initial release of the game seems nothing but malicious to me.

Except each of the "gods" have pretty much admitted to enjoying fucking with mortals and genuinely don't care what happens to them. So I doubt Mallach would go out of his way to make them immune.

Besides that I also remember the story where Cait's mom declared exclusivity to her dad and was able to somehow convince whatever council of whores it's that or nothing is kind of stupid. So they can declare exclusive relationships, it's just Cait doesn't think you're worthy of one and immediately thought so. Even though her dad was dicking around himself by the sounds of it so she'd be okay with it, given how much she adores her dad.

It's just Raf-Raf seems to be most vocal about how iredeemably shitty CoC2 is and seems to hate it wholeheartedly, and it makes me scratch my head why they're still playing. It's like coming to an ice-cream shop every day, buying the same treat and throwing it on the ground after saying it tastes like garbage. At some point it starts looking silly. I don't love this game but I do like parts of it a lot. Lemme tell you if I hated coc2 I wouldn't be coming back to it or this thread, I'd come here once or twice to vent my frustrations and probably move on.

IDK, sometimes you just have a love-hate relationship with a game. You should see the Pussymon thread: that one is full of people who hate the game (and rightfully so—it’s absolutely terrible), but still come back in the hope that the one character they like got a half-decent moment. Until somewhat recently, I was one of those people and man, sometimes you just have this vision of how it could have been in your head, and you just can’t let go.

Hell, I’m still hoping someone, someday, will redo Pussymon’s general idea in the future, just somewhat competently.

I pointed out a counterintuitive behaviour and to you that's...provocation? I'm "calling out" some comments now because I haven't been here for that long, and I'm still surprised my experience has been so different and that coc2 managed to inspire such a negative reaction.

What does he get out of having followers? There's no evidence that they get power out of having them and money is worthless to him. Why would he go out of his way to keep them alive? I don't even know of the tattoo is his work or some sorceress they somehow recruited.

And it's just a fuck you that Savin is known for. Anyone that asks for something he goes out of his way to incorporate in the story a fuck you towards those groups of people. People wanted a sense of exclusivity with Cait, so he writes a story about how her mom - who somehow has enough political power to bully the head priestesses, Mary Sue~ - into allowing her to only fuck Cait's dad. He did the same thing with Anno and some guy Ausar that tries to pick her up by saying they should make puppies together. Because people wanted to have puppies with who would be one of the worst moms around.

Savin has always been known for this. Even since the beginning. You give the guy way too much credit.

It's blatant provocation. Like I said, some of your responses seem condescending, and most human beings would respond and retaliate to that, especially online. I also find it hard to believe that you can't see why people are negative about the game with the hundreds of posts that explain just that.

Constantly challenging and trying to undermine someone's opinion is bound to eventually annoy them. It's not like having the opinion that the game is mostly shit or that Cait content is NTR because she expressed feelings for the PC is something worth trying to change their mind over. That's a given man, but it seems that guy is really a fanboy. We like to piss on some "devs" but this guy really wants to start a fight defending the devs/writers that we know very well that are a pain in the ass. We play the game and discuss their defiiciencies, and rare good pints that they make. Soo, as you say. "We want to hatefuck the game to cuddle on it later".
