And hell, tragicomedy aside, that Savin offered to pay BubbleLord for his 'work' explains even more. Like, even Tobs was working for free up until some time ago. And we out here wondering why this game got so much random shit in it, probably because the lead relies on what's basically fan-content
Unless you just skimmed over it, you should have had a conversation where she invited you to come to her school to talk to her students. From 8:30 am to 12:30 pm there should be a star panel at the most northern square in the city. After the event you can fuck her.

Not only was Agni a comission but her writer stated that unless they get commissioned for more Agni content she's never getting anything else, so this barebones character might be all that a companion slot brings

Not all that weird, considering it's very much not a good thing. You said it, just look at TiTs. CoC2 is way tidier, that's easy enough to see, but i'm pretty positive most people in any kind of managerial position would think thrice before relying on randoms who (rightfully) treat the job as a mere hobby. It's... stupid.
Damn, if true that's pretty sad. Not for Agni, fuck her, but for the state of the game.

Whether or not it's a good thing is subjective, frankly. Now, the lack of a core focus is a bad thing, and at best the fan submissions/commissions don't improve it.
Now, the reason I say it's weird that you were making such a vehement complaint about the issue is because... Well, you're clearly following the works. You were phrasing it such that it seems like you think it should be a deal-breaker, but it obviously didn't stop you from picking up CoC2 after the other works.
That somehow made it past the team, when they have an entire thread on the forum warning about submitting a companion and all the expectations and requirements for one even being accepted? Seems like they either aren't following their own guidelines, or they really don't care at this point.

I haaaaaaaaaaard skimmed Alieh's content so take what I say with even more grains of salt than you normally would an internet stranger. Basically, on a Kass romance route, you're kinda the cool step parent that let your step-daughter stay with you. For the pure/anti-Kass route, I'm fairly certain Alieh doesn't fuck with how her mom or the other demons get down. So you're like, both the opposite of everything her mom stands for and the ultimate symbol of "suck it mom!" rebellion.
