He could have just executed it better. Why does Kinu basically act like a fricking brat in both versions of her. If ANYTHING Kinu should probably dislike her mother a bit and buck against the B.S traditions of foxingdom as she has a barbarians blood coursing thru her veins. A kinu who would have told you and asked your dang opinion on her marriage choices would make a lot more sense as she literally asked you about every dang thing in her life before that point. Tobs just wanted to force this bratty nonsense bc that's who he wanted Kinu to be. He could taken out the entire advice choice b.s during childhood and just made her a brat from get go so that people could decide whether or not to even partake in his content. You don't actually influence Kinu in any true poignant manner its all fluff. I like the idea of Kinu i just dislike Tobs execution.....I really like Rindo but i'm not gonna lie, I want someone else to write her family dynamic. I just KNOW he's gonna pull some my kid hates me for his mom being a concubine or some trash frickin annoyanceTobs:
"Kinu is ultimately a story about growing up and leaving the shadow of your parents, which is why so much of her story is told through her eyes without the involvement of the player character as the champion. It is a story about coming into your own, taking what has been handed down from those before you and passing them down to those who come after. This entire storyline where you as the champion influence her stats, skills and weapon in her childhood eventually comes full circle where she has to fight her own battles and you as the champion are not around to be in the picture all the time.
The champion's detachment in this storyline is deliberate, building up from the very first events where point-of-view swaps happen; at the end of the day, she has to struggle for her own beliefs. As the player, you're able to have agency in directing her; as the champion, much less so."
