It already is. Kinda. "A world where there are tons of beautiful women out there who are more than happy to fuck you" is a power fantasy. There is the whole "get fucked if you're defeated" thing, but that's also a power fantasy too. The biggest consequence for failure is... more sex. One of the first things you see in the game is a guard who obviously lost a fight and got filled with eggs (or was it honey? I can never remember with the bee people). And it's treated as an embarrassing inconvenience rather than a war crime. So bad stuff can kinda happen but nothing permanent and nothing that isn't treated as terrible.

But it never really seems to realize it's a power fantasy. This ties into the worldbuilding and the whole "sex is so casual you can fuck most people after talking to them for 10 minutes or doing a side quest," because everyone acts as though they aren't a part of a ridiculously sex-hungry world until it's time for the pants to come off. So you're treated as 'just another dude' in story, but in reality you've been fucking everything that looks at you funny. It's really strange to hear the writers talk about how they hate power fantasies, but they're literally writing their own personal sex stories where you're UltraChad, Impregnation of Bitches, desired by everything with a reproductive system.

With the porn, it just clashes so hard because what your player character can't do, the enemy victor can do. Weird I have to respect the preference of my defeated foe but they are free to ignore mine? They want to do a sort of serious world but it just feels off. Cait is a hoe yes, but when you look into her religion it is pretty fucked up and your character just randomly accepts that like it is normal.

Eh, depends on how much of a power fantasy you think it already is.

Personally, power fantasies are turn offs.
Puts me in mind of isekais with their bland self-insert protags. Yuck.

i would be careful and get it on sale, while this new game has no where as many bugs as the frist game [which had like 6 repackaging due to balence and bugs] and was lunched pretty well. an update might snap it in half

also game is min max heavy so don't put the difficulty to high when you don't know what to do

Considering the staff's idea of a power fantasy is you having choices and being involved in the plot, yeah.

I already consider it in its current state to be a power fantasy, yes there are instances where the player has no control but so far you got harems, you get to fuck gods/godlike plus the whole sex on combat victory mechanic. Not to mention the majority of characters fall in love with you in an instant like Kas.

We talked about the split awhile back, there just...isn't as much money as everyone seems to think.

There's 7 or 8 people on staff? And the Patreon pulls in 32k a month?

32000x12=384000.
384000 divided by 7 people, is like...50k. That's not a huge amount, and thats before taxes.

Now, that's not counting Subscribestar or Steam money, but its also not counting the several authors that work on commission, or whatever business expenses, or Patreon's cut (5-12%). So around 50k per person is probably a decent ballpark. They aren't rolling in money.

Still if vivienne is a female companion thats a punch in the gut for male lovers.
In regards to patreon money we dont know shit about business expenses as thats kept in house so we can disregard that, maybe the cash is not much to anyone living in America but does everyone in the dev team live there ? Eh its a bit irrelevant as nobody would pay someone less if they lived in a cheaper area.

I mean why invest in a companion that nobody will use? The absolute majority of players won't care or interact with a male companion. Its the same in TITS, very few people want to invest in a character for such a small audience.
