I think it's more people either commissioned or wrote in their OCs/SIs to put in game for fun (fenco/savco games have always focused on input from the community through submissions, donations, commissions, etc), not necessarily that they paid money expressly to fuck and fuck over the player.

That is proof that they are SIs.

But there is also the part where the owners of those SIs explicitly and specifically requested that their precious SIs will never be on the receiving end

As in, people asked to turn things around on those characters.
Fen explicitly told us no, and explicitly told us it is because their owner does not want the character to be on the receiving end.

This came up multiple times, and is also part of why they are hostile to modding. Because modders wrote options to desecrate their precious SIs. Which greatly offended them.

Does CoC2 have something similar to TiTS Fated names? I was about to suggest that CoC2 should have something similar to that. But then I realized with how Sav&Co. is very reluctant to give the player any power aside from empty titles and how they put their own OC's way above the player there'll be a conflict of interest.

Does anyone have a download link for the Vivian update bc I don’t really want to wait until it becomes public the writer’s for CoC2 and TiTs may be assholes but at least they are continuing to create content for their games there are too many games with good potential/Premise that ended up being abandoned or put on hold endlessly for various reasons that at least the fact that they are continuing to work on their projects and put out content even if that content is absolute crap is better for me than being abandoned or put on hold

The amount of half breed races is too damn high anubians, batfolk, catfolk, mothfolk, sheepfolk, and taeleer like where the hell did they come from why did evolution get rid of almost all of their beastlike traits only keeping the bare minimum to signal that they are non human. I get that the codex for anubians and catfolk say they are human half breeds but why have them all default to human with animal ears and tail hell even the one orchalf breed follows that same rule. I know my dislike for quint is partly because the taeleer are just humans larping as a different race the damned things look like they just glued fur on their ankles and forearms took a few rabbit tails and ears then called it a day.

I'm sure Viv has her fans. But she just never was that interesting of character to me. Maybe she will be more fleshed out now that she's a companion.

And apparently that's the last companion we will get. I would have wished that paladin girl (Eryka?) would have been a companion before VIviane. But oh well..

It's a text based game and aside from the optional CG's for characters and some scenes there's not much to show. The third screenshot on the OP is a a bit outdated but gets the point across of what you'll see most of the time while playing.

Is it interesting? Depends on what you like. Combat is meh so don't expect riveting gameplay, do yourself a favor and set the difficulty to "Story" to finish combat encounters faster. You can have sex with a variety of characters though a vast majority are varying flavors of femme, so regular chicks, chicks with dicks, chicks with both, short stacks, milfs, "only animal ears and tail" kind of furry, full furries, monstergirls, femboys etc. etc. Writing ranges from "This is the hottest thing my horny brain has ever read and I'll cum buckets" to mediocre, creepy, droning writing (and sometimes a mixture of all of those). Story isn't the greatest either imo. In the end though it's all up to your preferences.

If you're looking for more text based games you can also take a look on their sci-fi sister game: Trials in Tainted Space. If you prefer a more femdom and monstergirl oriented text based game look to Monster Girl Dreams. If you like horror mixed with your femdom and monstergirls then try House of Hellish Harlots.

That looks more like a truth, chars was just 'laying' around and was inserted into the game for fun.

Granted I don't think it's a very good practice long term because I think it's very easy for writer's to run into the issue of writing solely from their OCs/SIs perspective, instead of from the player's (or considering the player's input). I think that's probably part of the issue with content that feels like the player is being ignored or are expected to find this new character hot and if you don't you get negative companion comments or corruption points or whatever.

Not only that. Such chars are interfere with the whole game/story. Sometimes (most of the times actually) its important for progression of a story to add/do/etc. some global scaled things, which concerns/impact everyone and everything. And if character are not a subject of this global scaled event it will ruing, well...everything story related. Other characters, story mood, audience satisfaction, etc.

Like, for example lets imagine some abstract text porn game, in which, hmmmmm...well, some cult summoned a daemon from the underworld, yes....oh, and lets that summoned daemon is a futa....and...and it also have some motherly related internal problems, like it want to be a mother but cant because daemons cant have ordinary children, or something.....emmm, and that cult done this for....mmm...to obtain...ehhh, well, lets say MO` POWER for cult leader to....I dont know, to become local dominant political power, like king or baron or something...literally fuck its way there, okay!? Okay!!!
Now, lets escalate things. That aforementioned daemon started to fuck/be fucked with/by everything that moves in world, in which it was summoned, and instead of full fledged, or at least half breed, daemons copulation results always would be a...some demonic trash, like...imp or something, Im not big into demonology... Now lets say that that imps are a serial rapers, because....because we have a porn game, remember!?
Now, it would be really stupid to add to game with such premise, like...ehhh.....a blonde cat girl, that that have ombre pink hair....and that also is a....pffff....a harlot of a god of love and art, and....emmm...and which also sterile, in sexual plane...ehhh...and which acts like a "oh, I didnt noticed you were there...hey, lets fuck!!"...oh, and which also know a wide range of both offensive and defensive magic...and which also, for some unknown reason, are loved by pretty much everyone...ehhhh and which also...well you get the point, generic mary sue.

That will be really both stupid decision of adding such character and character itself, right!?
Because
a) story with such character are not interesting/funny. She will successfully do anything in first try in one go. Thats nor fire, nor water nor someones work to be interesting.
b) turn story into budget circus, due to her invulnerability/plot armor. Rape daemons invasion? She easily reach the end of a such story as virgin in/of all holes. Descriptions of """""rape""""" scenes will be full of "imp dick missed her hole_name, like a shot with 95% hit chance in new x-com"
c) make progression of a story/and pretty much everything pointless. Because of 'first try success' even dream team from gods or some kind of interdimensional horrors will fall from the mere sweep of her left hand.
d) if its a side character, not the main character, she will overshadow the main character and make him looks like a joke on a player, a really bad joke.

Good thing that was purely imaginary game and nobody done something like this, right!?

Not bugged, she has no new scenes except for a short one when she turns into a demon. It took them a year to add a few talks.
