my biggest problem with arona is the fact that she speaks openly and with pride about all the shit that her tribe has done (raiding defenseless villages and enslaving cow girls) but the moment someone questions her she feels offended and pulls out the racism card.

well arona... the orcs, more specifically your tribe, are the only enemies apart from the demons that raid villages and turn cowgirls into sex slaves, so it's quite normal that brienne dislikes you, she doesn't hate you for being an orc, she hates you for your actions.
""Actions have consequences, who knew?" mutters Brienne."

On the one hand, this is a highly realistic depiction
On the other hand, we are here on a porn site because we want to escape from reality.

And this is from Savin himself, so i gotta imagine that orcs making up the slave population of Khor'minos/getting 'civilized' by minos is firmly set in canon. Not that Arona growing up as a character wouldn't be cool, but i think it would pretty much be a matter of turning the other cheek more than anything else.

Plus, not like any society in the game behaves like they'd fundumentally be opposed to slavery, at least just as long as they're not the targets. I guess maybe the elves, because they're that weak, but that's pretty much it. Minos obviously practice, soul sucking foxes are pretty much built to require it, and half the horses go chaotic evil at 18. Seems like just a case of orcs being just as shitty as everyone else but being called eviller for it because they're orcs.

It's also not like that many of the societies in the game have a very fond opinion of each other, aside from the un-corrupted marefolk and centaurs. If not for the increasing demonic threat, It actually seems that none of them would feel the need to even align with each other or even to care when something happens to anyone else.

Iirc, when you ask Brienne about KM, she happily tells you that one of its biggest moneymakers is all the slaves they bring in from their wars and whatnot.

She's just mad at these specific instances of slavery.

That's kind of accurate, usually when you read very old historic facts about someone having issues with slavery, It was more or less about who were getting enslaved, not often about the act of attacking and capturing slaves, likely since it used to be the most solid way to get some kind of workforce.

Brienne is pretty neutral towards slavery.

I never really got why Arona doesn't hit on Brint. Like doesnt she say that he is her type? Why wouldnt a girl like her consider enslaving that peace beef? Doubly so since this is CoC2: a world where I feel being a sexy guy would get you almost the equal chance of getting collored -- be it by some warring amazon or by hung brute -- even compated to a bombshels. Or hell, with how wide spread alchemy is, TF a guy or a girl into the opposite gender would not be so hard.

Also, I am pretty sure Brint likes Arona, he is just to proud to admit it. Or at least that is how I read it.

And this is me repeating myself, this does really makes both Brint and Brienne come off as uncaring aholes. "Oh it doesn't affect me so I do not care/now that it affects me I suddenly care."

Eh, I'd say it's pretty normal. More compartmentalization than hypocrisy.

If you're fighting in a war, for instance, you're going to mourn losing your own and be super upset about it - despite logically knowing the same thing is happening on the other side.

It's just how people are tbh.
