i made a new save 3 days ago and have been ignoring cait so far, been close to a year since I've last played this game so am I going to be losing out on good content if I never progress with her?

When she says children, she means it in same way as how in Christian texts, humans are referred as "children of god". They are just her apostles: mortals that have given their souls over to Lumia. Same thing that Champion will be able to do.

You forget occasional 'cool game wanna check it' followed by 'why it tastes funny?'.

And I personally havent "played" this 'game' for....I dont even remember how long. I literally open game files in IDE, compare it in git with previous version to check wheres new content, and then just ctrl+f there some keywords like 'fuck', 'cait', 'pc.flag' and other to check how much more shit they shitted into the 'game'.

Not weird at all, Patreon doesn't care beyond what affects their wallets. So they do the bare minimum to appease the banks and are inconsistent in even doing that.
