Brihaus has been in purgatory for a year and a half, if it was really that highly demanded and was preventing the main plot from progressing, don't you think Savin would've reigned Wsan in at this point and told him to focus on finishing it instead of starting a new project every other day? He's released what? Six new characters and two new character expansions in that time?
I'm willing to bet the sluggish pace of the game has more to do with the 40k+ check Savin receives every month.
Eh, no not really. Wsan was working on the Arena, for awhile, from what he was talking about before, and he stopped working on that like 5 or 6 months ago to focus on Brihaus (which, by all counts, is huge at this point). Brihaus was probably not initially planned until the end of KM in general, but it's been bumped up.
I dont think Savin really tells Wsan what to work on at all, from what I've seen.
I doubt how much the game is making has anything to do with anything. The game makes a steady amount, and when they are done with this one....they'll just immediately transition into a new one. There's no actual financial incentive to drag development out.

How is it preventing the main story from progressing then? Does KM's portion of the main plotline hinge on Brihaus being completed? Why doesn't Savin put his foot down and do away with Wsan's dumbass idea of having complete creative control over KM and get some of the other writers on the team working on it? Complete lack of leadership and structure is the probably the biggest downfall of this game and likely the primary reason the main storyline is at a standstill.
Also I admire your faith in the devs and humanity in general to think that the easy paycheck these guys receive each month has nothing to do with the pace at which the game's being developed.

That's wasn't Wsans idea, it was Savins idea from what I know, so putting his foot down seems like not a great idea.
Amd quite frankly? There's no actual reason to, because it's not a problem. As said, Brihaus is probably the most anticipated thing in the game right now. There's zero reason to take someone off something everyone wants to do something vastly fewer people want.
From the devs standpoint, there's no problem, and quite frankly, not a lot of players seem concerned except the odd grumble here and there. People are here for porn, the main story is a side dish.

Immediately after this game, they'll simply start a new game. It is imo extremely likely that most people will stay pledged for the new game also (its what usually happens when devs start new games on the same Patreon). Income won't change much.
There is probably little to no monetary difference between them finishing the game this year and finishing it 5 years from now, because whenever they finish it they'll just roll into a new one and the fanbase will follow because they have the niche locked up.

That's one of the reasons the game feels like a complete mess. Holding the main story back is a big deal because it prevents everybody else from working on future content. This is why allowing only one person to work on an entire hub is a shit idea.

This is basically a non-statement. We're not talking about things from a devs standpoint. That's not something anybody here has ever really done because it's completely pointless.
No everybody understands your point, you're just not understanding other people's point. If the monetary income isn't going to change much, they have no reason to work as hard as possible to finish this game and move on to the next one. Nothing incentivizes them to work at 100% when they could just work at 80% or however much it is and have the same exact outcome. Same money for less work, especially when considering starting new projects is a lot more work than just continuing an existing one.

On a side note, is there are any scene/reference/hint in some scene that point out that demon(s) are actually evil (including previous game) in a more generic/usual sense of a word 'evil', not in a 'imma make u my cock sleeve UwU'? Making someone a cock sleeve is an evil action, yes, but not as evil as 'imma hang u on ur own guts ^_^' in my book, there are some 'distance' between that two actions.

Lets take racists of this 'gaym', as example here, kitsunes. While they bad, from pretty much every point, they are consistently bad. There are no points like 'wow, it tasted like a 'toddler accident' before, but from this point it tastes like an old sock, that get an ability to stand on its own. Its pretty clear this part was written by OBS and this by someone else'.
What I mean is, having full creative control leads to more coherent, if a bit detached from main...lets say plot, pieces, if person with full creative control is not the same person who 'lead' writing, of course.
Quality of writing was not the point, this time.

The bad idea, imo, was Brihaus - or at least it's positioning.

Most things can seem like a good idea at first, doesn't mean it is. There really isn't much merit in Wsan doing the entirety of KM by himself.
You still have to go through a ton of other shit to get anything that isn't Kiyoko. Reception would be a lot more mixed if they didn't like the novella shit.

Tobs, and Savin have gone on the record to state they do have a "schedule" and Savin had an entire spiel about what just what do they actually work on.
I highly doubt consumer input matters or the content in game would have matched the polls they stopped doing on patreon.

There's nothing wrong with Brihaus and it's especially jarring people are putting this on Wsan's plate when almost every main or significant quest is written by Savin or Tobs himself. Even the KM introduction quests are written by Savin. Calise Quest 2 is written by Savin. According to them that also counts as a main story quest. The buck stops with him. If Wsan trully wanted full creative control of KM's story progression he never had it. If they want to flesh out king and quest they could have done so even before Savin took a hard break of nearly a year to write Ryn's quest. Which finished what like two months ago and last I heard he was writing stuff for the Uveto futadom in TiTs.
They're writing what they want to write.
IF they are all waiting on Wsan I'd rather he take his sweet ass time so we don't end up with nonsense with no repetable sex scenes like Gweyr quest, a big nothing burger that is BubbleLords bats, or patently worse and less content like either of the corruption routes. And moreover I'd rather have consistency in tone of a zone versus the clusterfuck that is the Kitsune den. The next main story "assuming it's anything like the rest of the main stories" would be maybe 1-2 NPCs with a repeatable encounter and then there'd be nothing but space until next year whilst you sacrifice potentially good content for the non-content that is most main story quests.
Writing fiction with tons of variables is actually pretty damn hard to do and writing something worth reading that can inspire eroticism and work with your headspace while keeping these variables is even harder. Talk about the writers all you want but their pace is about average (maybe a bit on the slower side compared to other projects) for the scene.
I'd actually say this game updates pretty damn quickly overall.
I dont know what games you guys are playing, but this game usually updates about every two weeks with a pretty good amount of scenes. I follow games that update monthly, every few months, once a year...less.
I dont wanna pick on Summertime Saga again (yes I do its a scam) but it updates like every 4 months with less content than this game every few weeks and it's pretty damn popular.
This is one of the fastest updating games I play, in content and frequency.

- You can now reach Level 7! This level comes with TWO new perks for each class — you’ll pick between one of the options when you level up, or when you switch classes if you’re already Level 7.
- If you encounter Gytha in the Frostwood, you can now confront her more properly. Might be for her own good that she not stay free…
- After having done Calise’s first quest and cleared the ghosts out of Etheryn’s basement, you can now head out on Etheryn’s personal quest ‘The Demon of Ice.’ Return to the Palace of Ice’s temple, where you normally meet Elthara, to catch a ride to the dungeon. This is a Level 7 quest.
- Before you get to the dungeon there’s a travel sequence where you can interact and potentially bone down with some new and some returning characters. Personally I suggest bringing Arona on the quest — she loves big boats and she cannot lie. If you have Ashe’s Mace, she’ll have some things to say during the dungeon too!
- The dungeon includes several new items, new obtainable powers (especially if you’re a Mirror Mage!), a new summon, and a bad end. There’s also up to two characters you can throw in your Wayfort’s dungeon if you want (and have built it, naturally).
- After having finished the quest, a certain Companion will be able to relieve a certain accursed problem she’s been having, which unlocks changes in all of her existing sex scenes and grants access to entirely new scenes.
- If said Companion is at negative Confidence or you upgrade your relationship at the end of the quest, you can optionally reapply said problem after talking to her post-quest for kinky fun.
- New Busts: all the new RynQuest NPCs, updated Ryn busts post-quest, one other surprise elf’s updated bust for the quest.
- I wrote everything in this quest EXCEPT some scenes for said surprise elf, which were done by Fleep. Big ups to him for pitching in.
