When did sentiment for this game and it's content sour for yall? For me I enjoyed the game more when we weren't able to even get past the guards to enter the tunnel to the minotaurs' city.

It was either making Kinu and your wife being angry about shit that wasn't your fault and not giving a shit if you die in a bad end or when Savin said that power fantasies are bad.
One was Tobs fault while the other was Savin's and I do not remember which occurred first.
Cait also shoving herself into major scenes without her ever being in your party also doesn't help.

Also I wish to bitch about the temple for the millionth time.
I do not want to build the temple for the retarded prostitute cats and their retarded God as they are evil and I hate them, but this means Cait might want to marry me and I miss the Kas scene.
There is no situation where I get what I want.

Probably earlier than this, but all I can accurately remember right now is Eve getting the dragon spear thing. She and a noble scion PC bond about being in very similar upbringings, only she has no magic, martial skills, hidden powers, cultivation, or anything at all and does nothing but fuck whores and jack off hiding in an inn all day but can some how take centuries worth of dragon life force and be good to go in a week. Meanwhile one of the best girls in the game, Zo, is on the verge of a breakthrough to be slightly better than a mid tier trash wuxia mook and almost deletes her entire consciousness or something. Actually just made me not understand or respect any power scaling in this setting. Ain't no reason after that shit the PC shouldn't be able to do anything with a crumb of effort at all but a lot of post win dialogue tends to imply they are just getting by barely.

Still I wonder what my tipping point is. If we got off of when I first posted my review it was 0.4.41. But I'm pretty sure I checked out awhile before that.
...Maybe not? I started at 0.4.40 and looked down and I don't see anything that could cause such a dramatic visceral reaction like going from a staunch fan to a persistent anti. It couldn't have been right when I posted the review. Right?

I really enjoy games where I have player agency, I like being able to decide if my PC is going to be a paragon of virtue or evil and in the beginning it felt like my decisions will eventually mean something...but then I kept waiting and my choices still didn't matter, and as more and more updates came out my PC felt less like the champion and more like the pack mule carting all the real main characters through the story.

It's either something on the save file which would require fiddling with a save editor and CoC2 is known for being fickle with those and I don't know which field you'd have to edit. The other option would be to restart everything.

Getting Kiyoko and Kinu out of the jewel. A self-serving dick move that helped nobody and only tangentionally satisfied a limited number of people.

I could genuinely ignore and skip around the futa parade like prime Ronaldinho playing Espanyol on a crowded Camp Nou and even play along with Cait's bullshit as the lead probably wants you to but that sort of fuck up nulls any goodwill I could have for it.

Even then, I feel like I'd find it too numbing in due time. Game has too much futa for my tastes, is ungodly limited on what the player can do and would probably find a new way to screw the player over that would inevitably sour me.

Like I said, I can ignore some problems based on taste but the developers took the piss.

It's almost as if treating the party members as shining OCs had visible drawbacks if the person responsible for the OC fucked off or was forcefully ejected.

No one thing I can think of, more of a sliding scale. Every time player agency has been ripped away for petty bullshit reasons I hated the game a little more. The bullshit ending to the dragon isle quest and the final cherry on top Etheruined's ruined ass is where I lost all drive to actually play the game ever again though so maybe that counts.

I see this complaint so often here and it never fails to have me wonder if people here actually play and READ this game. Like how many times does the statistics need to be posted here that basically states vag only women and straight content accounts for, I wanna say, like 60% of all content and is more than everything else combined.
There are only like 4 updates up until like April of this year that doesn't add straight content featuring vag only women, the most recent being the Black Knight update on Sept.11th.

60% of all NPCs. About content? I'm not actually sure about that.

I've never done a tally and neither has anybody else. The big list I've seen are just NPC tallies. I thought I'd do that one day. But that sounds more tedious than fun for the purposes of informing a perspective. So that's probably never coming.

Though I've often thought, where are the lines drawn. Like I can't exactly pretend that the Black Knight and Alante are balanced in this regard.


What about the distribution?
Kalysea has more content by herself than 3 other NPCs combined.
Tarah far eclipses NPCs like Gwyn, Eryka, and Clementine combined.

the most recent being the Black Knight update on Sept.11th.

This is what I'm talking about.

You could count the Vulperine's as an example of females balancing the scales. But while the empath has 2 scenes including the loss scene the rest of that pack has 7 sex scenes not counting variations for player vaginal/anal.

What I mean to say is that content amount and NPC gender aren't created equal. At that particular point of scrutiny, where does it end? Like do I count that the majority of threesomes in the game all have a male, futa, or dickgirl despite their being more females?

Really the only thing that brought this about was a fit of clarity when I realized that Vasha is quite literally the first random encounter where you're not under threat of being sodomized on loss in nearly 4 years. Unless I'm mistaken, the last one was the Painted Demons by B in December of 2020.

I did actually do a tally, for like a 7 month period, and for that time at least, it's pretty consistent.

In fact, for actually meaningful content (as in not one-off encounters or battles) pretty sure it comes out to even higher than 60% in favor of females.

This is besides the fact that female characters tend to get a wider variety of meaningful content too. All the marriages, all the kids, the vast majority of romance in the game? For female characters.

Heck, just peep the companion spread, and note the content disparity there. It's pretty reflective of the whole game.

Did you EVER get the cage?
For high confidenceEtheryn, you have to either catch anal from her or do the Elthara threesome after WC.
For low cpnfidence Etheryn, I'm pretty sure you just approach her in the palace.

I don't know how to edit key items without breaking everything (which is what the cage is, when it's in your inventory).

So we're going to do this in an incredibly stupid way.

1. Create an external save in game
   1. Data -> Save to File -> name it whatever (make sure it has the .coc2 filename)
2. Open the game in your browser. If you don't know how to do this
   1. Open the folder where you unzipped CoC2 -> Resources -> App -> Index.html
3. Open Index.html
4. Open the console. If you're on chrome:
   1. Press f12
   2. Click on the console tab
5. Add the Chastity perk to Etheryn
   1. In the console type: etheryn.createPerk(PERKS.Chastity)

Remove the cage from Etheryn, now it's properly in your key items.
You can put it on anybody now. Go nuts

Yeah not having any say in the life of Kinu once freed was what really soured me on the Kitsune content as a whole. It seems like TOBS wanted to spite the annoy faction of the incest players without realizing that the spite will also hit players who actually enjoyed helping her grow up. Just look at Joker 2 to see how trying to spite your fans will turn out.

And the removal of the cunttail is another thing that soured me on the game. Let players customize their mc how they want. To me that's one of the prime reasons to even play these games.
