Pretty sure I’m gonna get banned from the site after my recent comment on the backer update. But like cmon, this update has one new scene, interesting mechanic changes but I havent started a new file in almost five years. Nor do I feel the need to in order to experience slightly less mediocre gameplay

Can anyone tell me here of who TOBS is and what they have done to gain the ire of everyone here in this thread?

Can anyone tell me here of who TOBS is and what they have done to gain the ire of everyone here in this thread?

TOBS is the short handle for The Observer. He's one of the main writers for CoC2 and the main figure responsible for the Kitsune colony.

He's earned the ire of some people here for a few reasons, but the main ones were:

1) The Kitsune are written in a way that makes them annoying and unsympathetic.

2) He shows a clear disdain for the player in all his scenes, making sure that they are always the "dumb outsider".

3) He's overly fond of purple prose, making anything he writes devolve into a boring slog.

4) The Kitsune are clearly meant to be Japanese. TOBS is a huge weeb. The result is a writer who knows nothing about actual Japanese culture writing it based of his anime.

And many others, but my thumb is tired.
