tbh I never blame writers.

TOBS problem isn't that he's a spiteful asshole or that he wrote a scene a certain way. You can't please everyone, and tbh it's hard interacting with folks.

The problem is that he doesn't have anyone really managing his potential and putting him on smart plays. As people have said, the early Kiyoko stuff is excellent, but he struggles when writing into singular scenes. So have him working on similar setups with other characters/ideas where he's making these big side quest style chains for something.

He's not a bad writer, he's a poorly utilized writer because he doesn't have someone managing him well. Which is causing the community to lash out at him, which makes it harder and harder to give a fuck. Nobody leaves happy.

It's the biggest problem with CoC2 and it's harder to really get then just blaming Savin or blaming TOBS. Savin IS a great writer, and produced a lot of great stuff for 1 and 2. TOBs IS a great writer. But you can't just have writers doing whatever they want, you need to have someone with a plan who is prepping them and playing their strengths. And while Savin is a great writer, he's not great at managing a project like this.

It just leads to a situation where the community and the writers are constantly at each others throats because neither side is happy.

It literally is. He himself called Kinu a spite project and its only the second time he's done this. You can totally blame the writers for having motivations to piss off their audience.

This is also just a save I had made just to prove I had these numbers, the actual nursery count is 955.

Damn. i was about to post mine to flex my numbers just for fun, but now i dont think anyone can beat

Here is mine in comparison, while the number is still pretty big i think the most impressive feat is amount of different species (it took the whole page)

also just realized the Nursery doesnt count kitsunes, imps or the manticores from the windy peaks, while it makes sense since they arent part of the nursery, but i always thought this screen showed ALL your kids

This is some "peak" apologist shit right here with no ground to stand on with the facts that it's for a person that said it themselves that the made things as a spite project and another as a salt mine for the people that would be playing the game. People even got screen shoots and proof to back that up and them doing it in another game.
How isn't it a huge problem that you have a writer that is 100% confirmed making content to spite the players of the game.

And for the point about them not being a bad writer. While personally I think they are bad to mediocre and specialize in making all-right to decent quality writing for this game when it comes to certain themes. It shouldn't be a surprise that people would consider them a bad writer and even more so when you point out yourself that "he struggles when writing into singular scenes." What good writer struggles with writing singular scenes?

And you said their skills lay in "working on similar setups with other characters/ideas where he's making these big side quest style chains for something", when the most of those things we're received with bad to mixed reception. 1; Kinu the spite project that is poorly written and your forced to play as them. 2; after dungeon fox den which they called the salt mine. 3; the wolf mom Gwenyr(?) where you kill teens and are forced play as them and your PC's interactions being pointless. 4; the whore'ing temple for the sex god where you pay for sex in a sex game and if you knock them up after for paying for it they keep the kids and if they don't want to live by the teaching of the whore'ing temple they get kicked out.

I think the only non mixed reception stuff they did was "big side quest style chains for something" was goo cat priest and if you combine the foxes with the one-off content. That's a fucking awful track record for being "good" something even more so in a fantasy porn game when "fan-bait" topics are easy to come by and put out and be received well with ease. Look at Savin.

He's not a bad writer, he's a poorly utilized writer because he doesn't have someone managing him well. Which is causing the community to lash out at him, which makes it harder and harder to give a fuck. Nobody leaves happy.

WHAT?!
This person is cooked, the amount of cope in this post, they are saying things like Savin and TOBS IS a great writer while going on to to make counter points against TOBS and trying say it's a good thing.
This mother fucker out here writing stuff up and ending up giving the same feeling of car salesmen that's legally can't lie to you but is trying to sell a shit box and frame it bad points as great aspects for that car.

LOL, "TOBs IS a great writer" but needs someone to tell them what their strengths are.
What great writer needs "to have someone with a plan who is prepping them and playing their strengths" to make fitting content for this game, if they need that much micromanagement then they are a bad writer for this game. That shit is a choice and if it not they are stupid or blind to how the game works. But those pervious points in this part I just made don't matter because all of the main writing team has made content that fits the game, all most all of their content fits the game with TOBS being the outlier and dropping a Japan/Asian colony in a place that doesn't make sense. That the topic cohesiveness in this project and while cohesiveness is a good part of being a great writer, it is not solely what makes a great writer. The project CoC2 is a hot mess of management but that doesn't mean you can't see the quality of their writing skills in the projects that the made. And TOBS is some of the worse of the main team having poor interactivity, being actively bad, being actively hostile and still poorly written, has mixed and bad reception.

Where are you seeing this great writer TOBS because so far I have only seen them do above average with fox wife and other foxes, goo-cat, bath sheep and all those are the same thing of pregnancy as a center pillar of their content. TOBS being above average at one thing isn't much of great writer.

Feel like offering my two cents regarding TOBS and the kitsune.

Personally, I liked plenty of the kitsune content. I thought Kiyoko and Kinu were intriguing characters, and that the worldbuilding for the Kitsune Den was interesting, such as how the Frost Marches view the kitsune. I didn't mind how the kitsune treat the player as well.
It's probable my autismo, and/or my mofu mofu biases play a role lol.

I do think TOBS frequently struggles with purple prose, and unnecessary tangents. There is that Raphael(?) stuff didn't seem like the player character themselves would be allowed to play a part, which is silly. (Is it abandoned at this point?) It seemed pretty out of place for the game; others have said it was for salt mining. I still found it interesting to read through regardless.

Basically, I think lots of content TOBS has written related to kitsune has been interesting to read. But I'm just some guy. ~( ̄▽ ̄)~*

There are two possible conditions for Ryn giving you her old cage (only one has to be met), 1). She is the Champion's lover (The Champion answered that they Love Her at the end of The Demon of Ice), 2). Her confidence is < 0.

Found the conditions on the page, of all places (they're listed in the Description/Function section of the Chastity perk), you'd think they'd be list on under , but no.

Admittedly i enjoyed the Kiyoko and Kinu content when they were still in the amulet, the little side stories where you can choose how Kinu acts in a situation which would reflect who she becomes as a person (i was thinking it would be an epilogue thing after you beat the game not the 10 year time skip bs). I liked the time you spent with Kiyoko like sure she is a breed machine but there were some scenes with some romance and I was hoping over time you would get some more family oriented scenes between the PC, Kiyoko and Kinu...but instead you get that time skip bs that just completely ruins everything else, it's been awhile since I've played but outside the headpat ceremony and the marriage Kiyoko stays relatively the same but for Kinu the PC is just a deadbeat dad with the only difference in dialog being if you go with Inari the interactions are kinda awkward but relatively pleasant while hime is forced with fake pleasantry and no amount of time you spend with them changes that.

Tldr there was potential but he dropped the ball.
