Agreed this game has literally nothing to do with the first game. Not the world, no characters show up from the first game hell I don't even think there's a mention of the first game, the only thing they share is a name.

Extremely brief mention at the start of the game and when Kass lore dumps about leaving that world to go to Savarra. Besides that, no the games have nothing in common.

Ah ok it's been a hot minute since I've played the game let alone the beginning of it. But it's ridiculous that they think they can just briefly mention the first game and think that it can now be considered a sequel that's not how that shit works.

As it turns out, the statements of several people were right. This was not the team to develop a sequel to CoC. They neither have the capability nor the desire to do so.

Savin seems like the type of guy who likes to be in charge and be the "face" of the game but when it comes to actually taking responsibility and being an actual leader they can't do it.

Not looking forward to CoC Unlimited Futas, unless the fighting engine's top notch.
I'm of the notion that a sequel could have been good if given the right lead. Same start but have it be the city that was formed from the camp the champion from the first game established so that you can sort of work using the setting from the previous game.
Just say most of the old cast died from the passing of time, give the old protagonist proper respect (which I believe Savin isn't keen on for whatever reason, he's wrong) and maybe have it be that most people took the peace their ancestors fought for granted and nobody's quite strong enough to handle the threat yet.
It's honestly not difficult if you don't treat the literal prequel, the reason this thing came to be, as some sort of leprous husk.
Well, that's fucking phenomenal. Was it too expensive to get someone to do so? Pretty sure a lead dev can't exactly go "eh, why bother" to something so latent on the literal title of the game.
Like it's not even a poetic title, there's no other angle to something called "Corruption of Champions". By that logic, thank fuck Savin wasn't handed the ropes of an actual professional project, he might've turned a Final Fantasy into a snowboard game somehow.

There has been a couple of community writers that has mentioned interest in corruption. Jstar did corrupt Drifa.
And Bluebird and me likes corruption. The catch is that we prefer men. There is always a catch.

Head to the main forum and check out the “gripes you have with coc2” thread. A thread meant to be a discussion about problems users have that could lead to potential improvements is largely just a circle jerk and any legitimate gripes people have are ignored or dismissed outright.
Again I say, there’s no issue asking people to give you money for you to write a railroaded interactive sex game where you have all the say and decision making of what content is put in. I'm 50/50 on the Ryn gripe; I get the whole confession bit n sex scene has a lot of ppl mixed (like myself), while I'm not a Elthara fan but I don't see how ur getting cucked but I don't like that you are forced to share. Elthara is the SQUADS' girl (Wsan or any writer telling me otherwise can get bent) and u get to choose how u participate with in in some weird pro sharing way.
What I don't like is that you don't get anything with low-confidence Ryn, the MC doesn't initiate their own little reward or event for her nor does she do anything with the MC.
All Of This is FACTSIt is a crappy ending.
Like let's for a moment try to perceive the authors point of view.
The ending where you can split her with Elthara, a moment where you're meant to consummate your love is split with a third if you don't want to bottom. Given the propensity for sluts, group-sex, gangbangs, and threesomes, this would be the "compromise" option.
And honestly it wouldn't be a bad one if other options existed to keep your tender moment where you confirm your love limited to the two of you without forcing the PC to catch or involving another. Some third option based on her buttslut perk progress, sex toys, mutual masturbation, etc etc. Instead there's nothing.
Without that nothing, you can make the (probably correct) assumption that the romantic love Etheryn has for the PC is equal to the love she shares with Arona (assuming you read those threesomes) and (probably) Elthara.
No choice. Which is par for the course.
All rather moot.
When was the last time Etheryn even got a content update? Technically Evelyn had the scenes where she fucks her updated for the dragon version. Beyond that? Let's check, actually

I am just dissapointed I guess, that one of the supposedly main themes of the game is disliked by the main cast of writers.
Even if you force yourself or people to write that, you will always be able to tell, that the writer behind it wasn't in it.
